USAF Security Policeman Sights Orbs Near ICBM Launch Site

USAF Security Policeman Sights Orbs Near ICBM Launch Site - www.theufochronicles.com

Between 1973 and 2010, I interviewed 167 former/retired US military personnel regarding their nuclear weapons-related UFO encounters. More than a hundred of those accounts were presented in the second edition of my book, UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites. [ad]

Since 2010, I’ve more or less ceased investigating the topic, primarily due to advancing age. Recently, however, another military veteran contacted me after reading a post by Joe Murgia on X (@TheUfoJoe) regarding my work. I was of course interested in what he had to say.

Former US Air Force Security Policeman Devin C. Lingo emailed me and briefly summarized an incident he witnessed while stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana, in 1995, involving two orbs maneuvering near a Minuteman-III nuclear missile launch facility (LF).

I asked Lingo to provide me with his DD214 document, which is a Department of Defense record of his military service. It confirmed that he had been stationed at Malmstrom beginning in February 1995, and had been a Security Police/Security Forces member assigned to the 12th Missile Squadron.

Once his bona fides had been established, I called Lingo. He told me,

At the time, I was an Airman, a trainee, preparing to become a full-fledged member of an Alert Response Team (ART). The person supervising my training was an Airman 1st Class named Brent Mullings. Our particular group of ARTs would rapidly respond to alarms at any of the Fox Flight missile sites, to determine whether or not there was a real security threat.

On the day of my sighting, we had six alarms at one LF! That was a record, at least for me, during the years that I worked there. The site was Launch Facility Fox-2, located on Pishkun Road, just west of the town of Choteau, Montana.

The first Outer Zone alarm came in around 6:00 p.m. We quickly proceeded out there to investigate. Our alarms were triggered by the sensors on the IMPSS pole at each site. That’s the Improved Minuteman Physical Security System, which is basically a motion-detection system. Almost all of the time, an alarm was set-off by a wild animal or something like that.

That evening, we discovered a rabbit inside the fence. I tried to scare it away by throwing rocks at it, but it kept hiding inside a culvert. Eventually we left but, over the next several hours, we had to return five more times to reset the alarms.

I asked Lingo why they didn’t just shoot the rabbit. He responded, “The only way we had to kill it was with our duty weapons—M-16 A2 rifles—and that wasn't an option. Had we returned to base after our [shift] and turned-in our weapons to the armory with missing rounds, it would have been a big deal. Also, I personally wouldn't have felt good about killing a rabbit over an alarm.”

He continued,

My orb sighting took place during our last visit, at roughly 4:00 a.m. I had gotten out of the truck and was standing on the site access road. As I was facing west towards the Rockies, in my peripheral vision I saw a small reddish glow in the sky. For a moment, I thought that it might be the Northern Lights.

I turned my head to the right and immediately saw that it was actually a small, glowing object, just hovering there. I couldn’t tell how far away it was. As I was trying to figure out what I was looking at, another object just like it, but blue in color, suddenly appeared. It was to the left of the red one. They were very close together, from my perspective, and at the same altitude. Both seemed to shimmer as if they were energized somehow.

I was stunned! I had no idea what I was looking at. After a few seconds, the red object blinked-out. Gone, just like that. A second or two later, the blue object shot straight up into the sky and instantly disappeared. There was no noise.

During this final alarm of the night, Brent felt sorry for me because I had already conducted the five previous searches, so he decided to run the final one himself. So I just stood there on the LF access road, covering him and giving status-updates to our Flight Security Controller on the two-way radio.

During the time-frame when I noticed the orbs, Brent was doing his detailed search on the LF. His focus would have been on searching the ground within the fence with his flashlight. I’m sure that he didn’t see them.

I was the new guy, the trainee, so I quickly decided that I wouldn’t mention what I saw to Brent, or anyone else. I was afraid that they would think I was crazy. I was worried about losing my PRP.

(RH: Anyone assigned to work with or around nuclear weapons is subject to a Department of Defense directive known as the Personnel Reliability Program, or PRP. An individual whose conduct, on or off-the-job, is judged by his or her superiors to be suspect and, therefore, a potential threat to the weapons, may be ordered to undergo psychological evaluation and risks being relieved of duty. In short, if one wishes to continue working with nuclear weapons while serving in the U.S. Air Force, reporting a UAP is definitely not a good career move. Unfortunately, this situation has undoubtedly resulted in a great many sightings at ICBM sites going unrecorded over the years, something arguably detrimental to US national security.)

Lingo continued,

So, that’s where I left things. I never talked about the incident, but I sure wondered about what I had seen! I don't believe that any other members of my squadron ever mentioned seeing anything strange in the sky. Even if someone had seen something out of the ordinary, there's a high probability that they would never have reported it out of fear of ridicule.

The only other sighting that I'd heard rumors about happened on the east side of Malmstrom, which would have been the 10th Missile Squadron or the 490th Missile Squadron. I was told that sometime during the years prior to 1995, a couple of Security Policemen were at a launch facility when some sort of triangular craft started hovering above them. I don't have any information on how long the encounter lasted or what the fallout was.

Lingo may have been referring to an incident at Alpha Flight, as described to me in 2003 by former Security Policeman Joseph M. Brown. One spring night in 1992, his two-man team, and a second team located a few miles away, observed a bright object erratically racing around the sky for several minutes. At some point, the men became unnerved by what they were seeing and began anxiously discussing the sighting with each other over the radio, whereupon the Alpha Flight Security Controller, who had been listening-in on the tense exchange, broke into the conversation and asked about the situation.

Finally, the aerial object instantly stopped in mid-air and remained stationary. As the sun rose, the craft’s triangular shape could be seen through binoculars. Then it disappeared. When the two teams returned to base, they were debriefed by their commander and pointedly told that any further mention of the UFO would jeopardize their PRP status. This incident is covered at length in my book. [ad]

Lingo said that after leaving the Air Force he had consulted the state-by-state UAP-sighting database at The National UFO Reporting Center website, to learn whether any sighting report in Montana in 1995 might have matched his own.

He told me, “On 9/25/1995 there were two sightings in the towns of Ronan and Polson. One of them states that there were red and blue strobing lights observed. The other just says that the witness saw lights. Both reports stated that the objects were in the eastern sky. Both towns are many miles west of Choteau, at roughly the same latitude, just on the opposite side of the Rocky Mountains. I had been just west of Choteau myself, so what those witnesses reported could have been what I saw. I’ve often wondered whether those sightings related to my incident.”

New Video of Tic-Tac UFOs and Witness Emerges

New Video of Tic-Tac UFOs and Witness Emerges - www.theufochronicles.com

"... senior chief and radar specialist, Alexandro Wiggins and others, while on duty in the ship’s Combat Information Center (CIC) observed “unknown objects” on their screens that appeared to emerge from the ocean."

A U.S. Navy veteran detailed a recent encounter with unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) off the Southern California coast. In February 2023, while serving aboard the USS Jackson as a senior chief and radar specialist, Alexandro Wiggins and others,

while on duty in the ship’s Combat Information Center (CIC) observed “unknown objects” on their screens that appeared to emerge from the ocean.

Wanting to see the objects with his own eyes, he went on deck and verified what he observed on his radar screen. In an interview with filmmaker, Jeremy Corbell, he stated, “To my surprise, which is something I’ve never witnessed, was a light I noticed on the horizon, it looked as if it were surfacing out of the water and going up.” He quickly returned to the CIC and took a closer look using the SAFIRE System (a thermal sensor) and discovered that the thermal imaging system had picked up not one, but several tic tac–shaped objects.

As Wiggins later described, an initial object was soon joined by a second, and when his team zoomed out for a broader view, they discovered a total of four objects in close proximity. These craft then made a rapid, simultaneous departure towards the northeast, moving with a speed that defied conventional explanation.

The incident, which strongly echoes the infamous Tic Tac encounter from 2004, has reignited public and official interest in UAP sightings, particularly as new Congressional hearings urge witnesses to come forward.

Wiggins, who is also connected to Las Vegas by way of his personal past shared his account after seeing circulating footage.

The video of the sighting was later discussed on a podcast hosted by documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell (see below) adding another layer to what many see as an unfolding mystery involving potentially advanced aerial technology or phenomena that challenge current scientific understanding.

"The beach was lit up BRIGHTER than if it was daylight" – My UFO Experience

'The beach was lit up BRIGHTER than if it was daylight' – My UFO Experience – www.theufochronicles.com

"All of a sudden, from above, a bright light shined down on us, and the beach was lit up BRIGHTER than if it was daylight. It was like stadium lights were lit up for as far as we could see. BUT it was SILENT.... We turned on the radio and heard that there were lots of UFO sightings near the area."

In early 1982, my now husband and I went to Pensacola beach/Navarre Beach. We had been enjoying the day at the beach and had a blanket laid out, all of our bags, and as the sun went down, decided to stay and enjoy the evening listening to waves, and

eating. We had some flashlights (small). There were no houses at the time, and it was pitch black. Just the waves were the only sound. Behind us were the sand dunes.

All of a sudden, from above, a bright light shined down on us, and the beach was lit up BRIGHTER than if it was daylight. It was like stadium lights were lit up for as far as we could see. BUT it was SILENT.

My husband and I felt terror. We looked at one another and said RUN, RUN, RUN. We grabbed one or two things, ran towards the sand dunes (leaving most of our things). Car was just on the other side of the dunes on the two lane road that runs along the beach.

As we crossed the huge dunes (a small pass between 2 dunes) I looked back. I couldn't see where the light was coming from. It was like several thousand watts turned on, lighting up the beach. There were no buildings, NOTHING out there. We jumped into the car and I hysterically screamed GO GO GO....and we tore out in the WRONG direction away from where we lived, just going down the road as fast as we could.

After a time, we turned around and went back (only way to get back to pensacola ) and the beach was dark. We drove past the area and kept going. We never stopped. We turned on the radio and heard that there were lots of UFO sightings near the area.

We have been haunted by this since 1982. I am now 65 and my husband is 66. We thought maybe it was something experimental from the air base there. BUT IT WAS SILENT. The light came from above us, but lit up the entire area like daylight. I had to squint. I didn't look up; I was afraid. Neither did my husband. I felt dread, that if we didn't run, something horrible was going to happen, and so did he.

Have you ever had accounts like this? Is there someone who may have experienced this. And no, it wasn't bright nights, wasn't any kind of environmental thing. This was some kind of purposeful, brighter than day light that was shone on us, from the sky. It didn't move, didn't change.....wasn't a helicopter, or plane. SILENT.

Addendum

My husband and I almost NEVER speak of this. We did today. He tells me that he looked up and the light seemed to come from behind us over the dunes. BUT, the light was not pinpoint from a single source. It was diffuse, which scared him even more. The light was not from directly over head. The dunes are approximately 15-20 feet high (or were at the time) and so the light emanated diffusely from much farther up than that. But it was so blinding, that he could not see a source. In his recollection, we ran across a cut out in the dunes to the road and jumped in the car. We never saw ANYTHING above, around. We seemed alone except for the very bright stadium like lights lighting up the area. It was so bright that our eyes hurt. We never saw another car as we drove away. And, it was dark on the other side of the dunes where the car was. As we returned to the area, we do recall that it was dark. We slowed the car, and even though we had left several objects, we didn't go back. Whatever this was, was not something that we could explain on this earth or with physics. My husband grew up on an airbase and was familiar with all aeronautical sounds. I recall hearing NOTHING. I am perplexed to this day and often wonder what would have transpired had we stayed.

UFO Lands Near Near Nuclear Missile Site; Security Forces Dispatched

Article presented by www.theufochronicles.com entitled, Minot Launch COntrol Center 'Saucer' Cited As One Indication of Outer Space Visitors by he Minot Daily News 2-6-1966

"... personnel on the surface reported seeing a UFO with a red light high in the sky. At the same time, a radar crew picked up the object ..."

More than three months after it reportedly occurred, and Unidentified Flying Object sighting in the Minot area has been blown up as a lead-off topic in an article entitled, "Are Flying Saucers Real" which appears in the latest issue of the Saturday Evening Post magazine.

This sighting says the Post article occurred at a Minot Air force Base Minuteman missile launch control center. Date of the incident is given as Aug. 25, 1966.

Base information offices confirmed such a report was made. It was never released in Minot, but was sent to Wright-Patterson Field in Ohio. From there, it presumably was channeled to the Secretary of the Air Force's office–and again, presumably, released to the magazine.

The article is by J. Allen Hynek, identified as chairman of Northwestern University's astronomy department and an Air Force consultant on "Flying Saucers" from 1948 until this year.

The Minot incident is detailed in this manner:

A launch control center officer, who was in an underground capsule, discovered static was interfering with radio transmission, while he was attempting to clear the problem, personnel on the surface reported seeing a UFO with a red light high in the sky. At the same time, a radar crew picked up the object at a height estimated at 100,000 ft.

Static stopped when the object climbed, the report maintains. After climbing, it began to swoop and dive, then apparently landed some distance away.

"Missile-site control sent a strike team ... to check. When the team was about 10 miles from the landing site, static disrupted radio contact with them. Five to eight minutes later, the glow diminished and the UFO took off. Another UFO was visually sighted and confirmed by radar. The one that was first sighted passed beneath the second. Radar also confirmed this. The first made for altitude toward the north and the second seemed to disappear with a glow of red."

UFO(s) Shot Down by Air Defense Forces in The Sky Over Rostov

Photo of UFO Over the Rostov region, taken on January 3rd, 2023.

"... several photos and videos of an unusual object over Rostov appeared last Wednesday. Judging by the footage, shells were fired from the ground, knocking down a certain target in the sky."

On the evening of January 3, residents of the Rostov region were frightened by the bright object and loud sounds of explosions.

On Wednesday, January 3, residents of Rostov-on-Don observed an unusual phenomenon - here and there in the sky something flashed. "Tsargrad Rostov-on-Don" figured out what kind of outbreaks were over the city on January 3. We collected the most complete information about this incident.

What it looked like

In social networks, several photos and videos of an unusual object over Rostov appeared last Wednesday. Judging by the footage, shells were fired from the ground, knocking down a certain target in the sky. Moreover, the loud sound of the explosion at about 22.08 was heard twice with an interval of several minutes. The cameras recorded a bright flash, from which for a couple of seconds the pitch darkness lit up with a bright light. Witnesses of the incident were both Rostovites living in the northern and western parts of the city, and residents of the Myasnikovsky district of the Rostov region. The sound wave was so strong that the walls of the houses were shaking.

What could it be?

Immediately after the incident, several versions of an unusual object appeared over the capital of the Rostov region. Unofficial sources said about the work of air defense. A number of Telegram channels said that Rostovites witnessed the launch from the Iskander tactical missile system. Recall that these weapons are designed to defeat moving and stationary targets, for example, enemy firepower and air defense, command posts, communication centers, and the concentration of troops. Moreover, both conventional and thermonuclear warheads are used. There were also versions in favor of the fact that what was seen was some kind of weather anomaly. And also a number of Rostovites did not believe in the version of air defense and said that the explosions heard were the sounds of fireworks and fireworks on the occasion of the New Year holidays. By the way, not all residents of Rostov-on-Don heard and saw flashes and explosions in the sky. For example, in Alexandrovka (the district is located in the eastern part of the city), many did not even know about what was happening.

Official comments

After two hours of ignorance and various assumptions, Rostovites finally received an official comment from the authorities. Around midnight on January 3, Governor Golubev said the situation was under control. However, he did not report details about the emergency.

The situation in the Rostov Region remains stable and under control. I ask all residents to remain calm, not succumbing to panic Golubev said. There were no further explanations from the head of the region at night.

Until the morning, excited Rostovites wondered in the comments under the post of the governor what it was. And only by 11.00 am on January 4, Golubev reported the details.

Updated information about what happened the day before. Yesterday, at about 10 p.m., the air defense system worked 7 km from the village of Sultan Sala in the Myasnikovsky district. At an altitude of 2.5 km, a small-sized object in the shape of a ball was discovered, which flew freely in the wind. It was decided to liquidate it.

The governor explained. He also urged everyone to remain calm and assured that all forces and means were involved to ensure security - the sky is covered with air defense systems.

Rostov residents in the comments thanked the governor for the explanations. However, not without ironic comments.

Did we kind of shoot down Chinese flashlights and weather balloons? And in general, in modern times, if it did not fly to your yard, then it does not count. So we don't steam, we rest further.

- Rostovites write under Golubev's post. Some commentators urged not to publish such photos and videos, so as not to disclose to the enemy the location of objects in Rostov-on-Don.

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, or UAPs Over Ukraine – Physicist Avi Loeb Weighs In

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, or UAPs Over Ukraine – Physicist Avi Loeb Weighs In

Over the past two weeks I was bombarded by a dozen requests to read a new report by astronomers on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) in Ukraine. My response to all of these messages was the same: "I am not sure what to make of the report. Ukraine is in a military conflict with a lot of human-made activity in the sky. This must introduce a lot of noise for any search for objects that are not human-made. In science we aim to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio, and so Ukraine would be the last place on Earth where I would initiate UAP studies."

But last evening I received a special request from a high-level

Two Airliners Report Seeing UFOs – ARGENTINA

Two Airliners Report Seeing UFOs – ARGENTINA

The event occurred last Friday. Ham radio operators claim intercepting conversations among pilots reporting the incident.

By Inexplicata
9-13-22
Passengers aboard at least two airliners covering the Bariloche route claim seeing two or three unidentified flying objects (UFOs) last Friday.

Witnesses say that it was a group of lights that appeared before them as if 'greeting' them in the dark of the night. According to the La Opinion Austral' the incident involved two aircraft belonging to Aerolineas Argentinas, whose pilots were startled by the display.

Furthermore, they insisted that these were artifacts of "presumably non-terrestrial manufacture", and they decided to set the event on record.

The incidents were reported this past Friday between 11:00 and 11:30 PM in the vicinity of Choele Choel. The aircraft were headed to Bariloche, although is said that another heading to Ezeiza Airport could have also seen [the objects].

According to communications intercepted by ham operators, that same evening they picked up a conversation in which the airliner's captain made reference to "Polanco's UFO" in honor of his colleague Jorge Polanco [Note - Capt. Polanco was the protagonist of the Bariloche UFO event of 1985]

His fellow pilot confirmed the information: "I was about to ask you the same", he said in the transmission. In the course of the dialogue, they added that the points were seen "somewhat below the Southern Cross", meaning the constellation.

Experts dismissed the likelihood that [the sighting] involved Elon Musk's satellites, as the last Starlink unit crossed the sky at 10:45 PM before entering the so-called shadow cone.
