New Witness To UFO Incursion at Nuke Missile Complex, Tom Delonge's New Gig and The Media

Sports writer Mic Huber and I worked together for 10 years at the Herald-Tribune here in Sarasota. Different shifts, different departments, which meant we didn’t see each other all that much. Small talk, mostly, much of it focused on the whereabouts of an elusive relentlessly self-deprecating mutual friend. We got a lot of mileage out of you, David, so thanks for that, wherever you are.

At his voluntary-buyout farewell office party early this year, Mic retraced the steps that led him to his long run in Sarasota. What made him appreciate Florida was his Air Force hitch in North Dakota.

The winters were so grim he applied for a transfer to Vietnam during the height of the war. Uncle Sam sent him to Germany instead.

Anyhow, during his sayonara to the newsroom, Mic mentioned something about how he’d been on duty when he got sucked into a UFO incident, an experience that impressed him so deeply he saw fit to bring it up during impromptu remarks to colleagues nearly half a century later. But it was a small fleeting recollection and he didn’t linger there.

Mic still freelances, and a few months later I pulled him aside one afternoon and asked for more details. I couldn’t help but smile as he rattled off words like Minot Air Force Base, 1968, B-52, radar, radio interference, security breach, etc., etc. Mic isn’t a UFO geek, he doesn’t follow this stuff, so he was unaware of just how significant this incident was, in terms of evidence. At the end of his recollection, Mic repeated another phrase that actually made me laugh out loud because I’d heard it so many times before. He said he’d been debriefed by an Air Force colonel, his testimony had been tape-recorded, and that the officer left him on this note: “This didn’t happen.”

In fact, I’d just ordered a book called It Never Happened,written by a USAF veteran who’d been stationed at the same outpost, Minot, just two years earlier, 1966. Same general idea, though – unauthorized UFO activity over a Strategic Air Command base armed with nuclear missiles. No trifling matter. I suggested Mic take a peek at the www.minotb52ufo.com website, an impressively detailed reconstruction of that sliver of history he’d been a party to in the wee hours of Oct. 24, 1968. Researcher Tom Tulien had constructed an underappreciated narrative packed with veteran eyewitness testimony, the Strategic Air Command’s own documents, and assessments from technical analysts. I thought maybe he could test his memory against the record.

Mic dropped in a few weeks later. He’d been to the site, and he was jazzed. The details – everything he remembered about what happened lined up. Everything. He was in air operations that night, he’d heard it all.

Mic’s job was to know the flight plans of everything in the immediate sky to make sure nobody bumped into each other; sometimes, civilian neighbors near the base made inquiries about other things they’d seen. “We did get some UFO reports, probably a lotta farmers who were drunk,” he conceded. “But this was completely different. It lasted such a long time, and I guess that’s what made it stick with me.”

Shortly after 2 a.m., maintenance and security teams outside the remotely spaced launch control facilities – each of which housed Minuteman nukes – began noticing at least one, maybe more, large bright glowing object in the sky. It or they changed colors, white to amber to green. It or they went high, dipped behind treelines, reversed course on a dime. Air traffic control alerted a B-52 returning from a training mission to a bright glowing bogey off its 1 o’clock position as it executed a 180-degree turn for its final approach. The UFO wheeled with it and maintained its distance, at a rigid three miles. But as the bomber completed the turn, within a three-second sweep of the radar, the object pounced to within a mile. For the next 10 seconds, the plane’s two radios fuzzed out, even as an onboard camera took sequential photos of the radarscope recording the UFO when it changed positions.

Moments later, ATC diverted the plane to get a visual on a UFO reported on or near the ground. One pilot spotted it immediately, some 10 miles away and below, comparing it to “a miniature sun.” As they banked above it, another crew member described it as metallic, smooth, egg-shaped, a “dull reddish color like molten steel.” Once again, the ground briefly lost radio contact with the B-52, which landed at 4:40 a.m. But additional sightings trickled in for nearly an hour afterwards.

“I was on the phone with the guy who called it in from the missile site,” Mic recalled. He was monitoring comm chatter when the radios blinked out, and he remembers how the object looked on radar. “The return was more intense than a C-135 during refueling.” He saw the B-52 team when they returned – “they were visibly shaken” – and got a look at their subsequent illustrations of the object(s). After Mic’s shift ended, he was interrogated about what he’d heard and seen, this Thing That Never Happened. Obliged to say something, anything, official investigators concluded that Minot AFB personnel — these defenders of the world’s most destructive weapons — had simply been confused by Vega, Sirius, ball-lighting plasmas, a combination of all three, whatever.

Incidentally, It Never Happened involved an even spookier case. In 1966, writes (Ret.) Capt. David Schindele, launch operators lost control of as many as 10 nuclear-packed missiles when their power blinked off during apparent UFO surveillance. Which means Mic Huber has a lot of company. UFOS and Nukes author Robert Hastings has gotten more than 150 veterans to go on record about a phenomenon’s apparent fascination with our nuclear armaments. No telling how many more eyewitnesses who were told to shut up are out there.

But even if each and every one of these guys stepped up tomorrow to share what they knew, it wouldn’t make any difference. Events over the last year have only reinforced how deeply into denial and aggressive ignorance our culture has descended. In spite of that, amid turdstorms of truly fake news, some of the most diligent investigative political journalism I’ve ever read is unfolding right now, daily. Downright heroic, in some cases. And yet, American journalism is no match for The Great Taboo. Because most of the people who dare to own it tend to lack, umm, conventional pedigrees.

Wednesday, for instance, classic example: Former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge sparked what will be, if traditional patterns hold, a quick-hit flurry of sensational headlines. The details are posted at To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science and — once again — are straight out of left field. DeLonge is the California punk-pop rocker whose self-parodying music videos — dancing around in brief undies, licking coin-operated viewfinders, bored on the commode, babes weeping with desire — were so convincing during the Blink days you just wanted to punch the smirk off his face.

And yet, as early as 2015, DeLonge was telling “Us” magazine he was in contact with heavy-hitting government types he hoped to coax out of the shadows to address the UFO conundrum head-on. It was easy enough to blow him off until, late in the 2016 campaign, WikiLeaks (or somebody) hacked the emails of Hillary Clinton’s campaign director John Podesta, which showed DeLonge was indeed in the loop with a couple of two-star USAF generals and an advanced projects director for Lockheed Martin. And even then, who knew, maybe they were just big fans of “Enema of the State” and “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.”

Then came Wednesday. Lo and behold, there was DeLonge, introducing business partners in a half-hour video presentation designed to drum up crowd-sourcing to support something called To The Stars Academy. Its stated purpose was, with the UFO mystery at its core, to provide “gifted researchers the freedom to explore exotic science and technologies with the infrastructure and resources to rapidly transition them to products that can change the world.” And whoa, get a load of their cred:

Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence; Senior Intelligence Service, CIA Directorate of Operations; Lockheed Martin “Skunk Works” Advanced Systems Director; director of scientific research programs for the Defense Department, the CIA and the DIA; a counterintelligence agent who ran an “aerospace threat identification program” out of the Pentagon. The jewel of this narrative was relayed by Chris Mellon, the former SecDef assistant. He discussed an hours-long incident in 2004 involving the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, F-18 jet fighters, a UFO that seemed “to defy the laws of physics,” and footage of the whole thing. Captured by gun cameras. Plus infrared images. Property of the U.S. government.

Holy cow. This could be huge. Just like Hillary Clinton’s UFO remarks last year on the campaign trail could’ve been huge. Just like the half-dozen USAF veterans who testified in 2010 at the National Press Club to UFO activity over American nuclear bases could’ve been huge. Just like the MUFON 2008 radar analysis of UFO and jet fighter activity that caught the Air Force in a lie could’ve been huge. Just like CIA image-doctor Chase Brandon’s revelations about finding Roswell ET documents in the Agency’s archives could’ve been huge.

But this stuff can only be huge if the press is interested enough to dig, to background these guys, to pursue every lead and put it out there. What we’ll probably get instead is a convulsion of wry headlines, some “the truth is out there/out of this world” segues, maybe even some cursory reporting, but it’ll all wander off soon enough. Whatever followups occur will be tepid and of little consequence, or at least without the persistence essential to stoking public interest. And without public interest, this ship doesn’t sail. Or at least not very far.

And that’s one of the reasons De Void has been dormant for so long. Ultimately, this space started sounding futile and whiney. The only reason for this posting is to send one more shoutout to all the Mic Hubers, to all you folks who saw and may still be seeing crazy airborne stuff snooping around the most dangerous weapons in the history of warfare. This is news. Just because the media doesn’t think so, that doesn’t mean you’re crazy.

Unfortunately, yes, you do live in a superpower nation that has degenerated into an absolutely certifiable full-tilt nuthouse. But it’s not your fault.

Does New Roswell Witness Hold Up To Scrutiny?

Well, it’s happened again, just as John Keel said it would. As I have mentioned before, Keel had written in 1991 that by the end of the century (meaning going into the 21st century) there would be dozens of people, if not hundreds, claiming to have been in Roswell at the time of the UFO crash. Another one has appeared on the scene by the name of Charles H. Forgus, a soldier who served during the Second World War and who was a deputy sheriff in 1947. No, he wasn’t a deputy in Roswell but one in Big Spring, Texas, which is Howard County.

Here’s how this plays out. According to him, he, with the Sheriff in Big Spring, had traveled to Roswell to pick up a prisoner. While they were on their way, they heard, over the police radio, about the flying saucer crash. They drove out to the site, saw hundreds of soldiers, though Forgus didn’t know which branch of the service they were in (the US Army on their fatigues should have been a big clue), and saw a huge disk crashed into the side of a mountain.

He was asked if there were lights on the craft and he said, “No, they went out when it banged into the wall in the creek. It was like a mountain on the side of the creek.” (Though I’m not sure how he would have known that the lights went out when it hit because he wasn’t there.)

He also said, “We couldn’t see that well because of the trees. It was in a riverbank. It slammed into a river bank. I saw them lifting one up with the crane.”

I recognized the place he was talking about. I had been there, I had walked the land and I knew that there was no creek or river there but from the picture that had been printed in The Truth about the UFO Crash at Roswell, it looked as if there was.

John Keel was Right - Another New Roswell Witness

This is what Frank Kaufmann had said as well. Same description of the craft having hit the side of the canyon wall near what looked like a creek or river. Of course, we all know that Kaufmann’s testimony has been discredited. And if Forgus is describing the scene as if he was standing on a cliff some distance away, then his tale is bogus as well.

Forgus added some detail that is interesting, but also somewhat contradictory. I know this because I have been to that place. From where he was allegedly standing, he said he could see the bodies, though he didn’t have a good description of them. He talked about the big eyes. He said, “They eyes looked like the ones we see on television and the pictures of them.”

But he was so far away, according to him, it is difficult to believe that he would have seen the eyes. The real clue is about having seen alien creatures on television. He just picked the most popular version of the aliens to describe.

Here’s another nugget. According to several of the witnesses, and this includes CIC agent, Bill Rickett, William Woody and former part owner of KGFL radio Jud Roberts, the roads out to the area had been blocked and the crash site was cordoned off. Forgus and his sheriff wouldn’t have been able to get anywhere near the site before they would have been stopped by the military. Forgus made it clear that the military was already there with hundreds of soldiers, a big crane and trucks to remove the craft (Can you say “Alien Autopsy?”). If that is true, then the cordons were up and a sheriff from Texas wouldn’t have been allowed to penetrate it. He and Forgus would have been stopped before they got close enough to see anything at all simply because they weren’t military, they weren’t the local law enforcement and they had no legal authority in New Mexico.

The other part of the story that fails is that they heard about this on the police radio, which seems unlikely, but even if that had been true, they wouldn’t have heard instructions on how to find the place. You can’t see it from the main roads, and the gravel and dirt roads into the area are quite rough and quite confusing. If you don’t know where you are going, you’d get lost. Without someone leading them in, or precise directions which wouldn’t have been broadcast, they would never have found their way to the crash site.

This story was uncovered by Philip Mantle and was told to Deanna Bever in 1999, a Los Angeles private investigator. New Report on the Phoenix Lights by a First-Hand Witness (Redux) | 18th Anniversary of The Phoenix Lights

I was messing around online, a few days ago, when I noticed a comment made by someone on another website. They mentioned being in Phoenix and being a witness to the 1997 Phoenix Lights.

I took a moment and e-mailed the person, asking them if they would give me a precise account of their experiences. Today they responded and this is what they had to say about it:

My family and I recall that night often. I had only lived in phoenix for about a year, year and a half at most. We were living on williams airforce base when we saw it. We actually saw it from two vantage points though. Williams was the second.

We were at my aunts house when we first noticed it. That was about 10 miles to the north north west (roughly) near Mesa Dr. and I forget what other road. There was a middle school nearby my cousin went to. Anyway, it was just after sunset, or so it seemed, I was still young. My cousin John Doe spotted it and called me outside. Then i saw it and called out my dad and broth (sic).

It was very large to my memory. Not as high as a jumbo jet or anything, but it was at least 5,000 feet up and massive, in the shape of a V made out of lights. They weren't regular sized lights, they were relatively larger than stadium lights while standing at the bottom of the pole they are mounted on, but thousands of feet in the air and not extremely bright either. They were more like a yellow, old school street lamp as it looks through a rainy fog, maybe even distorted, but you could dismiss that as being mesmerized at the time. . . .

New Witness Uncovered; Metallurgist Tasked To Analyze Roswell ‘Flying Disc’ Debris

In all my years of doing UFO research and particularly the 1947 Roswell Incident, I’ve realized the importance of verifying and/or confirming the vast amount of information that is available pertaining to that Incident. Anything else presented is worthless, such as the crash test dummies, not used until 1953, the Mogul balloon theory, the alien autopsy film, and the numerous crash sites referenced, to mention a few.

The late Major Jesse Marcel and his recently passed away son Jesse Jr. both handled the debris from the crash in Roswell, when the Major stopped by the house to show it to Jesse Jr. and his Mother before flying some of the debris to General Ramey’s office in Fort Worth Texas. Over the years both men freely talked about the material they had seen and handled with descriptions of what it looked like.

To my surprise, 66 years later I was given information that for me confirms, or at least adds credibility to what the Marcel’s talked about.

I met a young lady recently who told me her Dad had an uncle that handled and examined material he believed was from the 1947 Roswell crash, when he was asked to go to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio to examine the metal samples. The daughter put me in contact with her Dad and the following paragraphs are what he shared with me, about what he recalled his uncle talking about.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

I heard this story on July 23, 1954 at my birthday party in Akron Ohio. I was eight years old. My uncle was married to my father’s sister. He was always called “Babe”. I don’t remember his first name. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace / Goodyear Aircraft in Akron Ohio. I think it was one in the same. He was an engineer and metallurgist that worked in aircraft and dirigible construction. During World War II he worked on the bombers that were produced in Akron. At my birthday party he was telling my father and I about working with metal samples that came from a “flying disk” that crashed in Roswell, NM in the late 40s. He had to go to Wright-Patterson in Dayton, Ohio to examine the samples. He said there were two different types of metal. One was very difficult to cut, melt or machine. The other was like aluminum foil that you could crumple up into a ball. If you then put the ball of metal on a flat surface it would slowly work it’s self out to its original shape with a mirror finish. If you crumpled it up again it would repeat the process. He said this was the most interesting piece. This sounds a lot like the solar panels used in our space program today. However, he believed that the other metal could be used in aircraft and missiles. Goodyear went on to develop and produce re-entry nosecones for the Atlas Intercontinental ballistic missile. I often thought this metal was used in these missiles.

He also said that he heard there were bodies recovered at the crash site. He said they were supposedly transported to Wright-Patterson. This was all rumors and he said he never saw bodies or confirmed their existence. He said the whole project was super secret and very compartmentalized. He had to have a top security clearance to even get near the samples. He said he made several trips to Wright Patterson over a number of months. I remember this discussion like it was yesterday because it caused a huge argument between him and my father. My father was shouting at him that he was filling my head with a bunch of lies about little green men and martians. I don’t believe they ever spoke again after that party. This caused a serious rift in the family and was a constant problem.

I knew my uncle very well and had always found him to be very honest and never a braggart. In later years I asked him several times about the story and he would just say that he never should have said anything to anybody about it. He finally asked me to never mention it to him again. He died about a dozen years later and took the details to his grave. I forgot about it until I moved to New Mexico in the late 70’s. I was in a bookstore and ran into a book on the Roswell Incident. I have read many books about it since. I believe, like you do, that something huge happened in Roswell and that my Uncle Babe played a small part in the story in Dayton, Ohio.

After reading the account of his uncle that he shared with me, to say I found his story interesting would be an understatement on my part.

Some that read this will say it’s an old and a second-hand account, however, based on the information that has been accumulated from the Marcel’s over the years, and the descriptions they gave about the metal they actually handled, I believe this account helps confirm and validate what the Marcel’s’ stated. I personally have no reason to believe that the daughter’s father made up this account of what he heard his uncle tell his father and him at his birthday party. Jesse Marcel Jr. after all was only eleven years old when his Dad stopped at the house to show him and his mother the material he had gathered at the debris field on the Foster ranch earlier that day.

As to the descriptions of the material the uncle talked about, those descriptions match very closely with what Major Marcel told his son about not being able to cut or burn the debris, and particularly the odd attribute of crumpling it up and in a short period of time it returned to it’s original shape.

New Phoenix Lights Witness Comes Forward | EXCLUSIVE

The Phoenix Lights as I witnessed on March 13, 1997

On the night of March 13, I was in my back yard with 4 other friends. We were goofing around enjoying the fact that my parents were out of town and that we were unsupervised. At one point during the evening, I happened to glance to the north and noticed a pattern of lights that did not fit with the normal sky and were moving at a decent clip. It was 5 small white lights in a tight “V” shape. Judging by its speed, it was ether really fast, or at a very low altitude. I called the object out to my friends and we watched it pass by overhead from North to South at about my 1:00. As it passed overhead, I turned and ran through my house to watch it continue south. At this time, one of my friends had gone out front to move his car and had not yet seen the object. I ran into him on my way through the house and made him come with me out front. “You gotta see this, hurry up!” He seemed annoyed. Saying that it had better be worth it. Once we had gone out the front door, I pointed up at the object. “Holy Sh*t!” was all he could say. We watched it disappear over the houses to the south of us. He said that when it hit the line of houses, he saw it flip over so the two points of the “V” were in the front. I did not see this.

My thoughts…

I have always been interested in UFOs. However, I always thought I would be scared to see one; that I would freak out about possibly being abducted (too many TV shows). However, when I saw the object I was awe struck. All I could do was sit and stare at it. Then, it was like a click. I realized what I was seeing and got really excited. All I could think was that I have to see more of it. To this day, I still sky watch anytime I take the trash out, or head out to my car. I am always hoping to see something. To this day, I still look back at that night with awe and wonder. Most people I have spoken to about this have been indifferent. A few have been very interested. My father was very jealous that he was unable to see and experience what I did. A few friends have also shown interest. None have talked about fear.

So, what was it???

I couldn’t tell you what it was to save my life. All I saw were lights. It was either one object, or 5 in a perfect formation that never broke. Was it extraterrestrial? Was it advanced military technology? I do not know. My house was located south of Chandler Blvd near 40th St. I’m used to seeing planes come in to land at sky harbor. They are usually seen to the West coming in from LA. They look like a vertical line, even though this is just because of different distances. I have never seen anything moving from North to South. I have also seen many things in the sky. I have seen satellites, meteors, Hail Bop; I’ve even seen the stealth fighter fly. I had never seen anything like it and have not since.

New Report on the Phoenix Lights by a First-Hand Witness | UFO NEWS

My family and I recall that night often. I had only lived in phoenix for about a year, year and a half at most. We were living on williams airforce base when we saw it. We actually saw it from two vantage points though. Williams was the second.

We were at my aunts house when we first noticed it. That was about 10 miles to the north north west (roughly) near Mesa Dr. and I forget what other road. There was a middle school nearby my cousin went to. Anyway, it was just after sunset, or so it seemed, I was still young. My cousin John Doe spotted it and called me outside. Then i saw it and called out my dad and broth (sic).

It was very large to my memory. Not as high as a jumbo jet or anything, but it was at least 5,000 feet up and massive, in the shape of a V made out of lights. They weren't regular sized lights, they were relatively larger than stadium lights while standing at the bottom of the pole they are mounted on, but thousands of feet in the air and not extremely bright either. They were more like a yellow, old school street lamp as it looks through a rainy fog, maybe even distorted, but you could dismiss that as being mesmerized at the time.

After seeing it and watching it move towards the south (ish) direction, we went back into my aunt's house for five minutes and then left. My dad, my brother, and myself all drove home and we stared out the window at it, as we went. We were headed back south along the freeway, from Mesa Drive towards Williams AFB. (Sorry, I don't know the cross streets, all i know is that it was within about 10 - 15 mins from our house at most)

There was a point where we kind of ended up not under it directly, but we could see less lights off to the side more. (im writing the story on here as it recalls in my head, trying to be honest as possible without deleting things)

We were talking a lot at this point and I don't remember as many visual details. We got home a few minutes later. My dad got inside and made his bed and crap, while John Doe and I were watching.

At this point we were farther away and the vantage point changed. We saw the same V shape, but it wasn't as large. Also, you could see the thickness of the lights now, very thin in comparison to it's size. They looked like those weird battery powered, 'as-seen-on-tv' lights ~ the round ones that you slap or press to turn on. The lights still appeared as if they were under that same fog, the same thickness, but from a further distance.

We watched this thing move all across the city for about 20 - 25 minutes in total, just like we did when they were too far away to judge, but still visible.

I think it was a show, like going to a nocturnal fish or zoo exhibit and just shinning a flashlight down thinking "hey, they are probably too dumb to know whats going on"... maybe they are right, but who knows.

You can archive this, or do whatever you want to do with it. This is the same thing I have said, every time, to the best of my memory.

*Sub Note: I have lived in the desert Southwest of the US for most of my life. New Mexico to be specific. Living here has granted me many special opportunities to experience very strange, but great things.

I have heard the Taos hum; a very strange phenomenon that seems to occur mostly to locals, but a grand many tourists have heard it too. White Sands missile range, labeled a "natural" occurrence by many here, but still very mysterious. Also, this rather strange disappearing military base, located near Ladron Peak, south of Belen, New Mexico...

Let's not forget the S.E.T.I. Program...

Hope this serves you well. Don't be mocking me on it.

This actually makes me have real hope for our race in the future, even if you, I, or our great, great, great, great grandchildren don't live to see it. It means humans weren't some kind of dumb mistake. We, as a race, have some kind of big brother out there, who may be looking out for us.

I replied to their mail and await their reply.

They may be joining the thread to answer any questions or to discuss this further - depending on how they are about their privacy. Some people see extraordinary things, but don't want potential ridicule, so they keep it to themselves, even though it is true.

I always like learning about alternative possibilities, for the Phoenix Lights, that contrast the 'Official Story'

I'll keep my eyes open and will post further info as I get it. Hopefully they will come in and answer quesitons, etc.
