UFO Photographed – Strange Circles and Metal Littered in Field

Cropped Photo of Flying Saucer from the article, Are Flying Saucers Real provided by www.theufochronicles.com, originally published in the Tangi Talk on 10-24-1973

"And in case you are wondering why we single out the Chersmie farm near Tangipahoa as the center of UFO activity, that is the place where photographs of UFOs have been taken. Where strange bits of metal have been found in the pastures and where strange circles have been found in the grass which some people claim are spots where UFOs have landed."

[...]

To make the mystery even more confusing is the presence of the National Guard and a mobile radar tracking station.

Now it is quite possible there is a rational explanation for the presence of this unit. But it does seem strange that one appeared near the Cheramie farm in “Tangipahoa last weekend. I saw the trucks myself and they were there. It is a curious coincidence that they appeared near the Cheramie farm at the height of the UFO activity. I am sure they could have been there for a hundred other reasons. But it is curious just the same.

And in case you are wondering why we single out the Chersmie farm near Tangipahoa as the center of UFO activity, that is the place where photographs of UFOs have been taken. Where strange bits of metal have been found in the pastures and where strange circles have been found in the grass which some people claim are spots where UFOs have landed.

In fact the area around Tangipahoa has been known as a UFO hot spot for nearly a hundred years. I have heard old-timers tell me how they used to see strange lights in the sky when they were driving their wagons back from Greenburg.

But several years ago Mrs. Robert Cheramie startled the area when she said that she found strange rings in her pasture where she thought UFOs might have landed. They had seen strange sights in the sky for sometime and the rings on the earth really startled them.

I personally went and examined them and I must admit they were curious. We found six of them. All six wereexactly 12’ 6” round and there was a section on part of them that looked like a bite had been taken out of one-like a bite taken out of a round cookie. The grass was mashed down in this area and Mrs. Cheramie said that she thought this was where some kind of a ladder swung down to the ground. In the center was a small mound of distrubed earth and lines reached from the center to the outside rim

The outlines were traced out on the grass with a black powdery substance that stuck to the grass. it was as if the grass were coated with black flour that bad crusted to the stem and leaves of grass.

All six circles were identical. All six had a “bite"taken out ofthe outer rim and you could even see where two of them overlapped like the rings left by a wet glass on a dry counter

The black substance was identified by agricultural authorities as being a form of leaf mold and undoubtedly it was, but it was curious that it apperared in such exact shapes.

I mean you would think leaf mold would appear in irregular patches with some big and some little. What makes the appearance of the black substance peculiar is not the substance itself, but the fact that the shape is so regular–as if someone cut them out with a cookie cutter.

And then there is the photograph taken of an alleged Flying Saucer at the same farm. The picture was taken by a Kentwood business man who had been hunting in the fields at Cheramie's. He had killed a limit of doves and his little boy wanted to see where he had been hunting. He drove his son and wife out there and they saw a round flying object hovering in the air. He quickly grabbed a Polaroid camera that he had in the car and snapped a series of pictures, one of which is reproduced here.

[...]

And there is the mysterious metal which appeared all over the Cheramie fields–these are the same fields in which the circles appeared.

According to Mrs. Cheramie, the field was covered with a metal that looked like aluminum straw. She brought me a little bag of it and we have tried to take a picture of it. We tested it by seeing if it would fog a film and it does not appear to be radioactive. [We do things like that when people bring us debris they thing is from a Flying Saucer. Frankly, we don't know what the stuff is, but we don't want to take a chance on lighting up like a neon bulb.]

And so there you have it. A summary of the latest in local Flying Saucer activity.

Disc-Shaped UFOs Reported Over Lafayette County, Louisiana

Disc-Shaped UFOs Reported Over Lafayette County, Louisiana 5-27-17

A Louisiana witness at Lafayette County reported watching two, disc-shaped objects with binoculars that disappeared into a dark cloud, according to testimony in Case 84059 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside looking at clouds at 5 p.m. on May 27, 2017, at a 45-degree angle to the north using binoculars.

“And as soon as I got the focus, there they were – two UFOs,” the

witness stated. “One on top the other and in close proximity to each other. The one underneath the other was moving left to right from side-to-side in a straight pattern, while the other one hovered above it.”

The witness had a feeling the objects were trying to communicate.

“I kind of got the feeling the bottom one was using the craft to wave at me, as to say, ‘Hey, here we are!’ As it was moving side-to-side as in someone would move their hand to wave.”

The witness described the objects.

“These were both saucer-shaped and were a black or dark gray color and both had lights in the front that pulsated back and forth like the Knight Rider car, but only much slower. The color of the lights from my perspective was red on the left, blue in the middle and either yellow or white on the right. I couldn’t make out the size because I couldn’t see them with the naked eye, only through the binoculars. I was using a Redfield brand that was 10 x 50. But they were clear as day to see the shape, color and what they were doing.”

UFO Spotted in Morehouse Parish 4-1-13

MOREHOUSE PARISH -- UPDATE: It was this strange light in the Morehouse Parish sky changing colors and glowing brightly that Wayne Griffin said he caught on camera on Monday night.

NBC 10 News showed his video to others and got the opinions from some fresh pairs of eyes.

"It's possible that it's a UFO. I believe that there are other creatures whether it's one we recognize or not," Ouachita Parish resident, Consuela Lockhart, said.

Even UFO skeptics said they can't deny the light's strangeness.

"You know, it could be a star, maybe a UFO," Ruston resident, C.J. Holloway, said. "It's really hard to tell but it's definitely something, something out of the ordinary."

For some folks NBC 10 News talked to, the light is an all too familiar sight.

"My dad actually said that he saw one about 20 years ago and that it was doing the same thing, that it changes colors as it went and then it actually would go one way and then it change direction and go back the other way," Ouachita Parish resident, Danielle Hollis, said.

Then again, for other folks, they think the strange light could still belong to creatures of God.

"I don't believe they're necessarily going to harm us," Lockhart said. "He created everything and maybe he created other things."

When NBC 10 News asked Federal Aviation Administration officials, Mid-States Public Affairs Manager, Lynn Lunsford, replied with this statement:

"Let me get this straight: You're chasing down a UFO sighting on April Fool's Day."

When NBC 10 News persisted that it wasn't a practical joke, Lunsford replied via E-mail that the FAA didn't detect anything unusual Monday night.

For now, this strange light remains a mystery. . . .

MY UFO EXPERIENCE | Witness Photographs Strange Object Over Louisiana

Strange Object Over Louisiana

Submitted By Ken Pfeifer

I am a photographer, and on March 19th I was outside taking pictures of the moon during its lunar perigee. My grandparents were also outside with me, playing with my daughter on her swing set.

While aiming my shot of the moon I noticed what I thought was some debris on my lens, so I cleaned it and prepared to try the shot again. I observed at this point that I could make out the object only through the camera lens, and that it was not obvious to the naked eye.

At that point I realized that I was not seeing a spec on my lens but rather something in the sky. I tried to use my auto focus to capture the object, but it kept focusing on the moon. I turned off the auto focus and manually targeted the object: this is the picture that is attached to this report. I don’t know if it is important, but my camera is a Canon Rebel T2i with a Sigma 18-250 mm lens; the photograph was taken zoomed all the way in.

Once the image was captured, I reviewed it on my camera and called my grandparents over to see what I had photographed. None of us had ever seen an airplane like this before. My grandparents and I both looked up but none of us could see the object. I set my camera to “live mode” (allowing us to see the viewfinder’s image on the screen on the back of the camera), positioned it, and we all saw the object. I’m not sure if we couldn’t see the object with the naked eye because of its size in the sky or something else, but whatever the case we could only see it through the camera.

While I never actually saw the object moving, it was in slightly different positions to the moon every time I looked at it. We talked about it for a couple of minutes and I tried to get another picture of the object (I couldn’t find it this time) and we decided to come upload the images to the computer to look at them a little closer.

TANNER, AL (WAFF) – As drivers whiz by the Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road exit on I-65 North, specks of black in the stark white snow are pretty hard to miss.

Upon a closer look, you'll see that there are scores of dead black birds, about 300 of them.

Wildlife biologist Bill Gates of the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge said they're grackles, a native black bird.

DYING BIRD PHENOMENON | VIDEO: Add Sullivan, Missouri To The List of States Reporting Dead Birds Dropping From the Sky in Large Numbers

     Sulllivan, Mo. (KTVI-FOX2now.com) —
Dozens of dead birds are discovered near Sullivan, Missouri about an hour southwest of St. Louis. People in and around Sullivan are calling the whole thing a little weird. The scene is just east of Sullivan along the I-44 south service road at Winsel Creek. The Missouri Department of Conservation is looking into the situation.

It was discovered on Monday.

Experts there and with the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park say the dead birds are Starlings. Starlings are among the dead birds that have been found in several other states recently.

It started new years when thousands of Red Winged Blackbirds were found dead in Arkansas.

The reason why all of this is happening is still unclear but a spokesperson with Missouri Department of Conservation does have some theories.

GEYSERVILLE, Calif. -- California wildlife officials are trying to figure out what caused the death of more than 100 birds found clustered together just off Highway 101.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that California Highway Patrol officers found the dead birds near the roadway on Saturday and called in the state Department of Fish and Game to investigate.

The officers who found the birds described them as small with brown and black feathers. They were intact and had not been shot.

The reports come as other, larger bird deaths have been reported in Arkansas, Louisiana and other states.

Sonoma County mystery: What killed 100 birds near Geyserville?

By RANDI ROSSMANN
THE PRESS DEMOCRAT
1-11-2011

While scientists and specialists are investigating why massive numbers of birds have dropped dead from the sky elsewhere in the country, Sonoma County now has its own bird deaths mystery to solve, reported the CHP.

More than 100 birds were found dead Saturday afternoon clustered on the ground off of Highway 101, south of Geyserville, Officer Jon Sloat reported Monday.

Officers responded to Independence Lane at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday and found dozens of birds dead on and around the roadway.

The California Department of Fish and Game was notified and a local warden responded. He took several of the birds away to be identified and tested by a biologist, Sloat said.

The birds all appeared to be the same type, small with feathers in brown and black, according to photos taken by officers.

The birds hadn't been shot and most were intact, officers reported.

What caused the deaths wasn't clear Saturday.

Immediate attempts to reach Fish and Game were not successful.

DYING BIRD PHENOMENON | X-Files: Dead Birds, Dead Fish: What Does it Mean?

By Paul Roberts
The Sacramento Bee
1-8-2011

No, this didn't happen in Sacramento, but it could happen, read on:

It starts off in Arkansas on New Year's Eve. Birds fall from the sky, there is talk, there are rumors. Just over the horizon, something is brewing, something ominous. There is chatter on Facebook. What does this all mean?

Stories from reliable newspapers tell us that the birds seemed to hit an invisible wall, because the birds displayed hemorrhaging and blunt force trauma. Could it be that the birds hit a cloaked UFO that was traveling from Arkansas to Louisiana and back up to Kentucky? Or is the answer much more mundane, that the blunt force trauma is from hitting the ground? I, for one like the cloak UFO theory, it just sounds more intriguing.

I turn on CNN News and HLN News, the talk of dead birds and dead fish is all over the news. Theories abound, the birds that died in Italy may have been poisoned. Birds on the East Coast may have died because of the cold weather. Other possible theories are: hypoxia, disorientation, hail, lightning and powerlines, sudden up wind drafts, fireworks that may have caused this avian and aquatic carnage.

Conspiracy theorists salivate to the idea that possibly HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) was the cause of this madness. Checking the blogs, people that were experiencing the 11:11 phenomenon are now living a life of normalcy, they do not see 11:11 wherever they go. Theorists believe that the reason they stopped experiencing the 11:11 phenomenon is because 11:11 is here...January 1, 2011 and to usher in this new age of the apocalypse, it is raining down birds and the waters spew dead fish.

DYING BIRD PHENOMENON | And Still More Dead Birds -- Hundreds Line Texas Highway

Highway 155 Bridge at Lake O' the Pines

By Saul Relativ
Associated Content By Yahoo
1-7-2011

The list of incidents of sudden deaths of large numbers of birds continues -- this time in Texas. Like all the other dead bird populations reported thus far -- Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, and Sweden --the dead
birds found Wednesday along a stretch of Highway 155 at a bridge at Lake O' The Pines were dark in color -- gray coots, to be precise. But unlike the massive dead bird fall in Arkansas and Louisiana -- and even in Sweden -- experts in Texas were quick to attempt an explanation of the event, blaming the roughly 200 deaths on the birds being hit by passing vehicles.

"People see some birds on the road maybe more than usual people get a little bit nervous and say wow maybe we've got something going on here," Charlie Muller, a Texas parks and wildlife biologist, told KLTV of East Texas.

Game wardens explain that the dead birds resulted from a fairly large population of American coots, or mud-hens, being startled by passing traffic or by the horn from a boat. Aloft and disoriented in the night, the birds, which were seen in large numbers on the bridge prior to all the dead birds being found, might have been flying as a group. Wardens say that the coots are easily startled and often fly low over the bridge. As they passed the bridge in their flight or were preparing to land, they were hit by passing vehicular traffic on the bridge.

It is the simplest answer to the question of how so many may have died so quickly.
