Full Description of event/sighting:

I was driving in 5 o'clock traffic on I-85 in north Charlotte, NC towards UNC-Charlotte campus. I was taking an exit ramp towards the university when I looked up in front of me about 150 yards away a rectangular shaped object was floating silently above the tree line. At first I thought it must be a banner being pulled by a plane but I quickly realized that wasn't the case. It was as large as a tennis court. The object was covered with encased reflective panels that were dark army green and may have been reflecting the trees below.

I drove slowly and watched it in utter amazement for about 15 seconds. I had time to take off my sunglasses to make sure of what I was seeing. As the traffic crept down the road the UFO floated behind a tree line and I couldn't see it anymore. I didn't even think to look at other drivers to see if they reacted to it.

As I got closer to the campus, I noticed two cars that were pulled off the road. I was kind of in a daze and was locked in with the rest of traffic so had to keep going.

I've researched rectangle shaped UFO reports and find many similarities such as most witnesses having the initial reaction that it must be a banner being pulled by an airplane. In fact, another rectangle UFO was reported in Charlotte, NC in September 2008, in the same area of town. Seeing this object did change my life in that I know for certain now that UFO's are real and they can do anything.
