Chilean Navy 'UFO' Video Explained?

This "UFO" observed on infrared video by the Chilean Navy leaving contrails is probably a plane leaving aerodynamic contrails; probably the LA330, which was in the right place, time heading and altitude (20,00ft).

Based on analysis by @Trailblazer, @Trailspotter, myself, and others, The plane that seems to fit best is LA330, a two engined A320, which was reported to be climbing through 20,000 feet at that exact visual position at 14:01:39. It was actually 65 miles away, not 35-50. This explain why it was not seen on radar (the actual plane was on radar, just not where they thought it was).

The day November 11, 2014, a helicopter of the Chilean Navy (Airbus Cougar AS-532) equipped with a high definition camera infrared FLIR, was patrolling in the area between the port of San Antonio and Quinteros coastal sector the 16.48 UTC, when the camera

operator official detected an unknown object, flying at a constant speed apparently similar to the helicopter, and moved forward.

The sighting was confirmed visually by the two officers who made up the crew (pilot and camera operator) and lasted more than 10 minutes.

The officers interrogated the air traffic control radar which failed to detect the object.

Nor unknown response received when trying questioning in these cases often willing to transit.

The radar control system FAA failed to capture the object but confirmed in turn, the absence of authorized traffic in the vicinity of the helicopter.

On two occasions, the object seems to cast a trail of something has not been able to pinpoint.

Some analysts have suggested the hypothesis concerned an airliner and medium sized contrails element that follows, it can be reserve water inside the unit, thrown by the crew. However, meteorology states that neither the altitude at which the object or room temperature then moved, allow such type of vapor trail.

The object disappeared disappearing into the clouds.

The Committee for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena, composed of leading scientists, analysts and aviation technicians after an extensive study of the case, agreed cataloged as UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon)

The CEFAA thank once again the cooperation of all branches of the armed forces and police for their continued cooperation through their respective representatives to the Committee.

The technician filmed the object for nine minutes and twelve seconds, mainly in IR. This sensor produces a black and white video in which the black, white and grey tones are directly related to temperature. IR detects heat, and the hotter the material being filmed, the darker it appears on the image. The officers stopped the camera when they had to return to the base and the object disappeared behind the clouds.

A Nevada witness at Las Vegas reported watching and videotaping a round UFO with light beaming from the object to the ground level, according to testimony in Case 59760 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness woke up about 5:30 a.m. on September 12, 2014, and first saw the object. “As I was walking back to my bedroom I noticed a round ball in the sky that looked similar to the moon, but it had rays of light beaming down from the object,” the witness stated.“One of the rays blinked and that is what caught my attention.”

The witness first thought that the object was a plane, but then noticed something unusual.

“I ran to get my phone to record and by the time I got back to the object, the light was slowly ascending into the object while both light and object simultaneously disappeared.”

Nevada State Director Donna Carbone investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown.

“The object hovered, glowed, cast light, appeared transparent, and was the shape of a circle,” Carbone stated in her report.“Surface was glowing and had a mist/shroud. Apparent size was unknown and actual size was 31-100 feet. Prominent colors were white, exterior lights flashed randomly and other. Emission was a beam and cloud, and sound is unknown. Elevation is unknown as is lowest altitude. Flight path was stationary and direction first observed was in the west as was direction last observed. No landing observed.”

UFO Triangle Spotted By Hunter

An Arizona witness at Willcox who is a meteorological observer for the military recounts a UFO encounter from 2014 and questions his own reactions, according to testimony in Case 74926 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness woke up at 3:30 a.m. with “stomach trouble” while on a deer hunt on November 1, 2014, and left his vehicle. “I observed a black triangle dart across the rims of the canyon we were camping in,” the witness stated.“Object made no sound.”

But the observation of an unusual craft did not seem to disturb the witness at the time.

“I seemed to not even care, got up and went back to my vehicle. Months later, I recalled the hunting trip and remembered the event. My actions that night were uncharacteristic as I have looked to the skies my whole life and never witnessed a UFO before. Why then, when I finally saw something I could not explain, did I brush it off as nothing?”

The witness does recall a memory of not wanting to see the UFO again.

“I do remember not wanting to see it come back as I fell asleep that morning.”

The witness details the sighting.

“The direction of flight was perpendicular to the northeast-southwest running canyon. I projected the speed to be about 500 mph at an altitude of 1,000 feet AGL. Object appeared to be between 50-75 feet of equal length sides. No lights. If it had not been for city light pollution on an overcast sky, I would not have noticed the object. A mother and son captured images of a strange object moving towards them in June of 2014. The Mutual UFO Network’s Scientific Review Board (MUFON SRB) took a look at the photos and could not figure out what the object might be. They consider this to be one of the best photographic cases from 2014. In the MUFON SRB’s Top Cases from 2014 report, which can now be read online, they list this case first. The sighting took place in Oakville, Missouri, near St. Louis at approximately 7:40 pm.

The case description reads: “A mother driving with her 14-year-old son noticed a metallic object in the sky in the late afternoon of June 8, 2014. At first they thought it was a plane, but the reflection of sunlight from it appeared very bright. Initially the object appeared small but that changed as it got closer. As it approached it appeared gray with an oval shape. Her son rapidly took 13 photos within about 8 seconds. Shortly thereafter they lost track of the object as they exited the freeway.

Analysis of the photos revealed that the object’s apparent size in the sky was roughly that of the full moon. Photo analysis eliminated the possibility of an insect, bird, bat, or conventional aircraft as the object in the 13 photos. The object was disk-shaped and its distance was between 500 to 1,900 feet away. This would fit with an object between 5 to 20 feet in size and traveling between 150 to 600 mph.”

Sphere UFO Drops Object To Ground Level | VIDEO

     A Washington witness at Spokane Valley reported watching and videotaping a glowing sphere that stopped to hover and appeared to drop something, according to testimony in Case 53762 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness stepped outside onto a back porch about 7 p.m. on January 26, 2014, and noticed a bright object that was yellow, red and orange.

“It traveled towards our house northbound, stopped, and changed direction to the east,” the witness stated. “I had called my family to witness the object.”

The witness described the object.

“The object stopped, flashed very brightly several times and then discarded something. There was glowing discharge from the bottom of the object. Object lost brightness intensity and then slowly went away.” [...]

     A Florida witness at Longwood reported and videotaped sphere-shaped UFOs forming a square that moved and hovered and made no sound, according to testimony in Case 54305 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness reported watching four glowing objects above Longwood as they crossed Wikiva Springs Road at 11 p.m. on February 25, 2014.

“The objects appeared to travel together and were gaining altitude and forming a square,” the witness stated. “At first they appeared as four large, glowing balloons.”

After approximately three minutes traveling together the objects appeared smaller to the witness as if they were gaining altitude.

      An Indiana witness at Sellersburg reported watching and videotaping a rectangle-shaped UFO crossing the clear blue sky, according to testimony in Case 56640 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was walking to his car about 6:30 p.m. on May 26, 2014, when the object was first noticed and thought to be an airliner.

“It was moving from west to east at high altitude and at a comparable speed to an airliner in my estimation,” the witness stated.“As I looked closer, I noticed the object did not appear to have wings.”

The witness then began taking photos and videos of the object with his phone.

“After the object was far enough away so as not to be visible, I got in my car and cropped the photos down to get a closer look. It was then that I was pretty sure that what I had just saw was no conventional aircraft. It appeared to have no wings or tailwing. It also appeared to be rectangular in shape, with a perfectly squared front and back. Did not look at all aerodynamic in the pictures. [...]

     A Moncton man is convinced what he saw off the north shore of P.E.I. was a UFO, and believes he has the video to prove it.

John Sheppard was camping at Twin Shores campground, near Kensington, with his wife in June 2014.

He was about to join his wife, who was already asleep in the tent, at around 11:30 p.m. when out of the corner of his eye he saw a light out over the water.

After watching the diamond-shaped light dancing about 75 meters above the water, around a kilometre off shore, for several minutes, Sheppard grabbed his cell phone and started filming. He narrates as he watches what he calls a light show.

"It's flashing bright, on and off a little bit. It reminds me of a dreidel or spin top," said Sheppard. [...]

Huge Triangle UFO 'Faded Out,' says Witness

    A New Jersey witness at Vernon reported watching a low flying, “huge” triangle UFO that quickly faded and disappeared from view, according to testimony in Case 73418 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was camping in Vernon on September 15, 2014, and returning to his tent when the incident occurred.

“I just decided to take a gaze up at the sky because it was really clear out and out of nowhere I noticed this huge black, long triangular craft with several steady white lights,” the witness stated. “And it appeared to be the bottom of the craft.”

The witness described how the craft moved.

“It seemed to slowly just creep along the tree line. And once it reached the treeline out in front of me, it just seemed to fade out and disappear.”

The object was very large and was silent.

“This thing was giant. Like a flying aircraft carrier and it made no sound. Was that low and just disappeared does not make sense.”

The witness provided investigators with a sketch of the object. [...]

     A witness flying between Florida and Puerto Rico reported watching and videotaping a cylinder-shaped UFO that appeared to be hovering at an altitude below the jet’s 37,000 feet, according to testimony in Case 56602 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The incident occurred about 11:15 a.m. on March 12, 2014, and was reported to MUFON on May 25, 2014. The case was investigated by Ohio MUFON State Director Thomas Wertman and closed as an Unknown.

The witness said the skies were clear flying to Puerto Rico on Jet Blue Flight #1938 which departed from Orlando, FL, at 10:15 a.m. and was expected to land at 12:59 p.m. The object was seen approximately 45 minutes prior to landing “north of Mona Passage.”

“My daughters and I noticed and observed this UFO. We were not the only ones observing this anomaly. I heard others commenting about it. But this object was hovering or stationary which was very unusual.” [...]

The witness was outside playing basketball with his brother and several friends near the seawall in Galveston about 8:30 p.m. on June 12, 2014, when they noticed a silent, clear circle flying overhead and heading north.

“Probably five or six people witnessed the event,” the witness stated. “No one could tell what it was.”

The group watched the object until it was out of sight.

“It traveled straight the whole time.”

      A Canadian witness at Ontario reported videotaping a low flying military airplane making unusual moves in a report where a still image taken at the same time shows a disc-shaped object near the plane, according to testimony in Case 58504 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The event occurred about 3:30 p.m. on July 29, 2014 when the witness was outside with friends.

Canadian MUFON Field Investigator Bob Mitchell investigated and closed the case as an Unknown.

Cylinder UFO Videotaped Over New Jersey

    A New Jersey witness at Hamilton reported watching and videotaping a cylinder-shaped UFO that appeared to move in a controlled manner, according to testimony in Case 58173 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness and her husband were in their backyard at 10:39 p.m. on July 18, 2014, when bright red lights were first seen moving right-to-left about a mile away in the sky just above the trees.

“Mostly red with a yellow blinking – irregular beat,” the witness stated.“It then moved closer and I realized I was seeing something weird. I told my husband to turn around because I was looking at something very odd. It was hovering at that point, then moved towards us (closest it got to us – maybe 0.25 miles away).”

They watched the object for about 30 seconds and the husband began filming it using his cell phone (video seen above).

“Unfortunately the night-time contrast on the phone filming stinks, so there is no differentiation of treeline and sky, and lights are blurred together.”

But the witness was able to see the object very clearly with the naked eye.

“At this time I could make out the object pretty well: cylinder-shaped with a triangle top, lights were now separated into four horizontal and parallel rows of bright dots/bulbs. All were a bright red, with the bottom two rows adding green and yellow irregularly.”

The object also emitted a sound for a short period of time.

“We were very quiet and I swore I could hear it. It sounded like a quiet wind machine, maybe a slight buzzing. Not as loud as a helicopter. This lasted approx. 10-15 seconds. Then it moved back so quickly, but smoothly, approximately one mile back, began hovering again and the lighting changed to a red X with a greenish irregular blinking light in the middle. Occasionally more red lights in a thin line lit up on the right side of the X. I could not hear it anymore. This lasted approximately 10 seconds.”

The object then moved further away and the witnesses were now only able to make out that it was a red light with a greenish light irregularly blinking.”

    A Nevada witness at Pahrump reported watching and videotaping a “very large and hovering” triangle-shaped UFO for 30 minutes, according to testimony in Case 57988 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was in his backyard just before 9 p.m. on July 12, 2014, when his wife pointed out an unusual object in the sky.

“The Object was dark and appeared to be very large and hovering and moving,” the witness stated.“We filmed for about half hour before it got too dark to view it.”

The witness described the object.

“We heard no noise and we observed flashing lights of white,green and red. I have never seen anything like this and in itself was pretty amazing to watch and film. I used my camera phone so the video quality is very poor.” [...]

UFOs Caught On Video Over Las Vegas Strip

      A Nevada witness at Henderson reported watching and videotaping a series of six bright lights “hanging in the sky” that eventually disappeared one at a time, according to testimony in Case 59929 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The sighting occurred beginning about 8:42 p.m. on September 18, 2014, and the lights appeared to be over the North Las Vegas area.

“I actually think this was further north than North Las Vegas, but distance at night is just a guess,” the witness stated.“The lights actually had a slight amber tint to them and you can see the passing aircraft. So we wondered if any aircraft saw the same lights.”

The lights looked like they were stationary in the sky. The witness believes that the camera settings were not correct and the video is a lower quality than expected (video seen below).

“The first sighting was in the northwest (towards Red Rocks), and the lights appeared at approximately the same altitude as the second recording/sighting that is attached. In the first recording there were only three lights. They slowly disappeared one at a time. Then in less than 30 seconds they reappeared in the north. We were in our backyard that overlooks the strip and mountains. We always look at the strip which is approximately 12 miles from our home. In the north-northwest there is not normally any approaching aircraft landing lights. This would be an odd approach for landing aircraft. Both my wife and I used to work for the airlines at McCarran.”

     An Idaho witness at Caldwell reported watching and videotaping a series of unknown lights that remained stationary and moved around during the event, according to testimony in Case 61233 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness and his wife were driving to a gas station on November 3, 2014, at 11:20 p.m. when the lights were first seen.

“I saw a strange light hovering,” the witness stated.“I told my wife. She was looking at it too so we went on another road to get a better view. The one light object split into two and then I started recording the one light that stayed stationary while the second light moved around it – up and down and side-to-side.”
