EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) – It’s been days since the mysterious alien signs vanished from the streets of East Aurora and no one knows who took them down.

East Aurora Police explained that they have no suspects.

It appears as though the signs are gone without a trace. The same way they showed up.

“I think it’s a high school kid. I hear they were really high end. So that’s something a high school kid may not have been able to afford,” said Allie Hartwick who’s wondering where the signs came from.

“There have been a lot of rumors. I don’t know, “said Gary Grote, the President of the East Aurora Chamber of Commerce. . . .

Mysterious 'Noctilucent' Clouds Have Returned

Mysterious 'Noctilucent Clouds Have Returned

By Joe Rao

Earth's polar skies have shined with eerie blue-white glowing clouds slowly twisting and undulating in the twilight sky every summer since the late 19th century.

These mystifying clouds are referred to as night-shining or noctilucent clouds. Such clouds form in an upper layer of the Earth’s atmosphere called the mesosphere during the summer and can be seen from the high latitudes on Earth.

If skywatchers want to possibly see noctilucent clouds, four criteria must be met: The sky must be free of tropospheric ("ordinary") clouds. The region of the atmosphere where they form must be sunlit. This means that the sun must be no more than 16 degrees below the horizon. The background sky must be adequately dark enough for the clouds to stand out. This final requirement means that the sun must be at least 6 degrees below the horizon, what astronomers refer to as the end of civil twilight. Your viewing location should be at a latitude north of 45 degrees, although as you will soon see the clouds have been sighted at more southerly latitudes in recent years.

TUCSON (KGUN-9) - It was a normal Sunday in Vail for Geradine Vargas. Normal, until she and her husband stumbled upon something kind of weird.

"We were taking photos around the area and we just.... I mean, how could you miss this?" Geradine said. "It was just like glittering in the sun."

Thousands of tiny, purple-hued spheres piled in the middle of nowhere.

"It's just one of those things that you've never seen before."

They were watery, some where translucent, and the pile was completely isolated. Gerardine was amazed, and she wanted answers.

UFOs, Radar Crop Circles, Aerial Anomalies or Computer Hack?

Mysterious Patterns Appearing on the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's National Radar System
Bizarre Radar Map or UFO?

They are the digital-age equivalent of crop circles -- mysterious patterns appearing on the Bureau of Meteorology's national radar system without any explanation. UFOs, perhaps?

They are the digital-age equivalent of crop circles -- mysterious patterns appearing on the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's national radar system without any explanation. UFOs, perhaps?

And the random images, described as red stars, rings of fire and white doughnuts, are sending online conspiracy Web sites into meltdown. The anomalies first began on January 15 when an "iced doughnut" appeared over Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

Satellite imagery showed there was no cloud over the area at the time to explain the unusual phenomenon, but farmers' online comments claimed it was "unusually hot" all day. It was followed by a bizarre red star over Broome on January 22 and a sinister spiral burst over Melbourne described by amateur radar buffs as the Ring Of Fire Fault.
