If some British tabloids are to be believed, UFOs have been lighting up the British skies these days, as if the night skies were an immense Christmas tree. As reported in The Express, “thousands of people across the globe are seeing mysterious shape-shifting UFO.” Of course, an unidentified flying object typically turns out to be something other than an ET spacecraft once we take a closer look. A mysterious man told Chris Carter that his
conspiracy-themed TV classic was too close to the truth.

      Alien conspiracies, monsters, cryptids, mutants, paranormal phenomena -- just a typical day for the fictional FBI agents of "The X-Files."

But how close to fiction was it?

Creator, writer and director Chris Carter tells a real-life tale about the show in its early days that's worthy of the show's catchphrase, "The truth is out there."

"I had someone come up to me during the original run of the series, who said they worked in some high place in a secret government agency, [and] said that we were very close to the truth," Carter told The Huffington Post.

"I didn't know whether to take that person at their word or not. I can tell you this: When I wrote the [1993] pilot, I called the FBI to do some research, and they were nice enough, but didn't really give me the time of day.

"Then, all of a sudden, as we got close to airing, the FBI called and said, 'Who are you and what are you doing?' And for a second, I thought it was going to be the long arm of the law coming in to shut me down." [...]

ETs Looking For A Place To Park?

Some highly unusual groups of aerial lights appeared over Santiago, Chile, in December, and while the exact date of the incident isn't known, a video caught the objects moving around in very interesting patterns.

After looking at the two-part video, it's easy to wonder why only one person captured the event and from only one vantage point.

According to the Daily Mail, an unidentified woman videotaped the lights from her window while she and others are heard excitedly talking about what they're seeing in the sky.

The first two minutes show four long strips of hovering multiple lights (seen above). Then, one by one, the strips move slowly away from each other. As they do this, you can see smaller, flashing lights on each of them -- they look almost like aircraft on a landing trajectory to an airport.

     Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is hoping to make history, not just as the first woman president, but as the political leader who is going to "get to the bottom" of the mystery behind UFOs.

At a campaign stop in New Hampshire Tuesday, Daymond Steer of the Conway Daily Sun reminded the former secretary of state that he had previously asked her about UFOs in 2007.

According to Steer, "Back in 2007, Clinton had said that the No. 1 topic of freedom-of-information requests that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, received at his library was UFOs."[...]

UFO Over Jesus’ Head?

"We can now anchor the beginning of the UFO phenomenon into real, documented history."

     The story of Christmas began when three wise men saw something strange in the sky and decided to investigate.

Anyone who's seen a UFO can easily relate to what those wise men might have been thinking, and that's what makes the images in these paintings so compelling.

Many unusual aerial objects depicted in paintings between the 14th to the early 18th century look, at first glance, like modern-day UFO sightings.

It's easy to wonder why artists of those long-ago centuries seemed obsessed with including these curious objects in scenes surrounding the stories of the birth and death of Jesus Christ.

The first example (above) here is a wall mural, or fresco, from 1350, "The Crucifixion," artist unknown, in the Visoki Decani Monestary in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. Two odd-looking objects with "pilots" can be seen in the sky on both sides of Jesus. [...]

      When a spectacular bright object descended from the evening sky on Nov. 17 over several cities in Siberia, many people thought they were seeing a UFO -- especially when an official explanation of the event wasn't immediately offered.

Indian air force is authorized to shoot down any suspicious object.

      Normally, only regular air traffic is allowed to fly in and out of and around major airports. But, lately, something else -- something irregular -- has shown up at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport (pictured above), putting several official security agencies on "high alert."

On Oct. 30, IGI air traffic control (ATC) viewed suspicious flying objects three times near and around the airport, reports hindustantimes.com.

According to the newspaper, "Sources said the Indian Air Force even pressed a chopper into action to check the flying object. But the helicopter could not find anything."

The current rash of aerial objects over IGI Airport remains unresolved. But it's serious enough that India Times reports the Indian Air Force "has been authorized to shoot down any suspicious object, if need be." [...

     It only lasted a few seconds, but on Monday around 8:00 a.m., eyewitnesses at many locations in and around Bangkok, Thailand, saw a flaming object hurtling toward Earth (see image above).

Onlookers in cars and motor scooters watched and, using cell phone cameras and dashcams, videotaped the fireball explode and disintegrate in the air just before it would have crashed to the ground.

     We've seen reports of UFOs that turn out to be balloons, and others that are military aircraft, privately-owned drones, Chinese lanterns, even birds, insects and the planet Venus.

The mystery behind this UFO is a new one to us. But let's put it this way: If you were driving through the Catalina Mountains near Tucson earlier this summer, it could have been you.

Our story begins on the Fourth of July, when Roman candles and all sorts of fireworks are sometimes reported as UFOs. That wasn't the case here.

Two Arizona residents videotaped a colorful, changing display (see above) of an object that appeared to be in the sky above Sabino Canyon.

One of those men, Tom Sanger, focused his color night vision camera and captured (in the following video) several minutes of the reported motionless object over the Catalina Mountains.

Trump was at the fair Aug. 15, offering kids a free ride on his chopper. At 1 p.m., an onlooker snapped a picture (see above) that later revealed an unusual-looking object in the sky.

"We were walking down the street to the fair. Donald Trump's helicopter was flying overhead so I got my phone out and snapped a picture," according to an unnamed witness who submitted the photo, which became Case 69530 in the Mutual UFO Network database. [...]

a British paper of fabricating a story about ETs saving America.

     Few people are surprised by the eye-popping headlines in The Mirror. But when the infamous British tabloid quoted astronaut Edgar Mitchell as saying that "UFOs came in peace" to "save America from nuclear war," it shocked everybody -- including Mitchell.

"I don't know where The Mirror got the story," Mitchell, 84, said in an email to The Huffington Post, accusing the paper of fabricating his quotes and denying that an interview for this story ever took place.

The sixth man to walk on the moon has been outspoken over the years in his belief that extraterrestrials have visited the Earth and the moon -- and that the government is withholding vital information about UFOs. Still, Mitchell insists the Aug. 11 Mirror story has no basis in the truth and disavows the information in it. [...]
