UFO Spotted Near Russian Nuclear Plant, Alert Sounded, Airspace Closed

Photograph of Russian Nuclear Plant in Saint-Petersburg

"In late February, Russian authorities temporarily closed the airspace above St. Petersburg after unconfirmed reports of an unidentified object circulated. All flights were briefly suspended from Pulkovo, the city's main airport."

An unidentified flying object was located near a nuclear power plant close to Russia's second city, St. Petersburg, according to new reports.

An alert signal was sounded around the Leningrad nuclear power plant in the Russian town of Sosnovy Bor, local and state media reported on Wednesday. The object was moving at around 200 kilometers per hour (124 miles per hour) at an altitude of approximately 10,000 meters (33,000 feet), Russian sources reported.

UFO(s) Shot Down by Air Defense Forces in The Sky Over Rostov

Photo of UFO Over the Rostov region, taken on January 3rd, 2023.

"... several photos and videos of an unusual object over Rostov appeared last Wednesday. Judging by the footage, shells were fired from the ground, knocking down a certain target in the sky."

On the evening of January 3, residents of the Rostov region were frightened by the bright object and loud sounds of explosions.

On Wednesday, January 3, residents of Rostov-on-Don observed an unusual phenomenon - here and there in the sky something flashed. "Tsargrad Rostov-on-Don" figured out what kind of outbreaks were over the city on January 3. We collected the most complete information about this incident.

What it looked like

In social networks, several photos and videos of an unusual object over Rostov appeared last Wednesday. Judging by the footage, shells were fired from the ground, knocking down a certain target in the sky. Moreover, the loud sound of the explosion at about 22.08 was heard twice with an interval of several minutes. The cameras recorded a bright flash, from which for a couple of seconds the pitch darkness lit up with a bright light. Witnesses of the incident were both Rostovites living in the northern and western parts of the city, and residents of the Myasnikovsky district of the Rostov region. The sound wave was so strong that the walls of the houses were shaking.

What could it be?

Immediately after the incident, several versions of an unusual object appeared over the capital of the Rostov region. Unofficial sources said about the work of air defense. A number of Telegram channels said that Rostovites witnessed the launch from the Iskander tactical missile system. Recall that these weapons are designed to defeat moving and stationary targets, for example, enemy firepower and air defense, command posts, communication centers, and the concentration of troops. Moreover, both conventional and thermonuclear warheads are used. There were also versions in favor of the fact that what was seen was some kind of weather anomaly. And also a number of Rostovites did not believe in the version of air defense and said that the explosions heard were the sounds of fireworks and fireworks on the occasion of the New Year holidays. By the way, not all residents of Rostov-on-Don heard and saw flashes and explosions in the sky. For example, in Alexandrovka (the district is located in the eastern part of the city), many did not even know about what was happening.

Official comments

After two hours of ignorance and various assumptions, Rostovites finally received an official comment from the authorities. Around midnight on January 3, Governor Golubev said the situation was under control. However, he did not report details about the emergency.

The situation in the Rostov Region remains stable and under control. I ask all residents to remain calm, not succumbing to panic Golubev said. There were no further explanations from the head of the region at night.

Until the morning, excited Rostovites wondered in the comments under the post of the governor what it was. And only by 11.00 am on January 4, Golubev reported the details.

Updated information about what happened the day before. Yesterday, at about 10 p.m., the air defense system worked 7 km from the village of Sultan Sala in the Myasnikovsky district. At an altitude of 2.5 km, a small-sized object in the shape of a ball was discovered, which flew freely in the wind. It was decided to liquidate it.

The governor explained. He also urged everyone to remain calm and assured that all forces and means were involved to ensure security - the sky is covered with air defense systems.

Rostov residents in the comments thanked the governor for the explanations. However, not without ironic comments.

Did we kind of shoot down Chinese flashlights and weather balloons? And in general, in modern times, if it did not fly to your yard, then it does not count. So we don't steam, we rest further.

- Rostovites write under Golubev's post. Some commentators urged not to publish such photos and videos, so as not to disclose to the enemy the location of objects in Rostov-on-Don.

U.S. Does Not Want China or Russia to Find Out How UFOs Work, First!

How does China share the U.S. government’s UFO interest?

the U.S. and Russia have had these UFO experiences, so also has China. Considering the rapid development of PLA hypersonic glide vehicles and nuclear weapons platforms, established UFO trendlines would suggest an increasing incidence of credible sightings in or around Chinese airspace. Xi Jinping’s interest in rapidly closing military gaps with the U.S. would also give him reasons to authorize studies of UFOs. After all, whichever nation is first able to figure out how UFOs actually work is going to have huge military advantages in terms of building platforms with highly advanced sensor, propulsion, mobility, and concealment potentials. Indeed, this is one critical reason the U.S. government is secretive about UFOs: it does not want China or Russia to find out how UFOs work, first!

UFO Hacked Nuclear Codes

Nuclear Missiles Activated

Russia and the United States were on the verge of a nuclear war because of the UFO attack on secret military bases on which strategic missiles went on alert.
By zhizn.ru
(rough translation)
6-16-2010

Sensational documents and evidence of participants in the events confirm that the Soviet military base in Belokorovichy and the US Air Force Base in Minot were attacked by aliens from outer space. While UFOs were hovering over missile launch sites, in just a few seconds, the security codes for the launch systems of nuclear missiles were cracked, almost unleashing the third world war.

Journalists of "Life" found unique documents about this state of emergency and found eyewitnesses of an alien attack.

For the 20-year-old radio operator of the 50th missile division of the Strategic Missile Force of the Carpathian Military District, Vladimir Matveev, October 4, 1982, was the day he remembered for life. In the evening he and a thousand more soldiers and officers witnessed how a UFO for almost an hour hung over the mines in which the R-12 missiles are located.

- It was incredible - about one and a half kilometers from us hung a huge saucer in the shape of an ellipse, "the former rocket launcher tells the "Life" with excitement. - The size of the UFO was shocking - it was as big as a five-story house! The saucer flashed lights that were barely noticeable. The guys at this time were going to dinner, and everyone saw it! The UFO continued to hover, slowly shifting to the left, as if drifting. One officer tried to approach it closer by car. It did not work out - the UFO flew over the car. At that time, all missile systems suddenly crashed. All equipment, units that were automatically receiving signals, wrote absolute silence on the tape-and this should not happen! After all, even space produces sounds. We were told that everything was burned down!

Report

In his report, Major Mikhail Katsman, in charge of automated control systems, reported that computer technology and security systems had brought out a sudden powerful pulse. He wrote that at the same time all the boards for the missile launching systems for strategic purposes were lit.

"I was witness of all these events and saw the UFO, but I do not have the right to tell what happened to the secret equipment - I signed a on non-disclosure document of state secrets," Yury Zolotukhin, the former head of the CSBUiS, told the journalist Zhizni.

About what happened in the underground bunker, where there were control panels for the launching of missiles, are evidenced by explanatory notes of officers. The control panels lit up all the bulbs, which meant the full readiness of the missiles to launch.

"The equipment went into combat readiness mode," recalls the former deputy head of the unit, Yuri Zhuk.

This is possible only after receiving an appropriate order from Moscow. But it was not - it all happened by itself. Officers on duty in the military calculation, suddenly turned gray: the information that appeared on the board, said that all stages of protection against unauthorized launching of missiles were hacked! In just a few seconds, they lost control of nuclear weapons.

Shocked by what had happened, the officers began to call Moscow. They were told that no one gave the order for launch. After 15 seconds, all by itself returned to its normal position.

- A few days later came the commission, which conducted a survey of witnesses. The guys gave them their UFO drawings, - tells the missile Vladimir Matveyev. "One of the officers swore on his party ticket that he was not drunk." A few days later we were built and read out an order from the Commander in Chief of Strategic Missile Forces No. P010: at sight of the UFO, do not panic and do not open fire. Then I understood why the officers who held their hand "on the button" were not the same age as the old ones.

USA

At the US Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota, there was a similar case - the American scientist-ufologist, 60-year-old Robert Hastings, told the "Life" journalist about this incident. He is the author of studies related to the activity of UFOs on strategic nuclear facilities. Hastings personally talked with Lieutenant David Schuur, the former commander of the division for the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

- Schuur told me that in 1966 he was a participant in the events, when the launch of missiles was consistently activated by forces of unidentified objects, "says the ufologist. - Here his words verbatim: "At first the security service of the airbase informed me that a large bright object appeared above us. At a time when the UFO was approaching a rocket, reports appeared on the consoles about their launch. This meant that somehow the missile received a signal about the launch. Each time I had to manually enter the lock so that the start process was stopped. All UFO activities were very similar to the process of scanning missiles. The next day, the command asked them not to tell anyone about this incident. "

Intelligent Life 94 Light-Years Away?

A SETI Signal?

A star system 94 light-years away is in the spotlight as a possible candidate for intelligent inhabitants, thanks to the discovery of a radio signal by a group of Russian astronomers.

HD 164595, a solar system a few billion years older than the Sun but centered on a star of comparable size and brightness, is the purported source of a signal found with the RATAN-600 radio telescope in Zelenchukskaya, at the northern foot of the Caucasus Mountains. This system is known to have one planet, a Neptune-sized world in a very tight orbit, making it unattractive for life. However, there could be other planets in this system that are still undiscovered.

The signal seems to have been discussed in a presentation given by several Russian astronomers as well as Italian researcher, Claudio Maccone, the chair of the International Academy of Astronautics Permanent SETI Committee. Maccone has recently sent an email to SETI scientists in which he describes this presentation, including the signal ascribed to star system HD 164595.

An international team of researchers is now examining the radio signal and its star, HD 164595 -- described in a paper by Italian astronomer Claudio Maccone and others as a "strong candidate for SETI" -- in the hopes of determining its origin.

"The signal from HD 164595 is intriguing, because it comes from the vicinity of a sun-like star, and if it's artificial, its strength is great enough that it was clearly made by a civilization with capabilities beyond those of humankind," astronomer Douglas Vakoch, president of METI International, which searches for life beyond Earth, tells CNN. ...

Official Soviet X-Files Investigation

Soviet X-Files

     [...]

The secret Soviet X-files investigation came to be known in government circles as The Network, and was the largest official investigation into the UFO phenomenon ever conducted. For 13 years, The Network was tasked not with the simple collection of UFO reports — this was left to amateurs — but with understanding them scientifically.
Matthew Bodner

The man tapped to lead the project was a young astrophysicist named Yuly Platov. Now in his 80s, Platov told The Moscow Times that he found out about the project in conversation with the head of his institute. He realized it would be an opportunity to flex his scientific muscles, and so pressed his boss to be given the chance to take part. A few days later he was contacted, quite unexpectedly, and put in charge of the entire project.

Initially the work was top secret. "Maybe we would really find aliens or maybe our findings would have military applications," Platov says. "It wasn't clear at the start what we might find."

The Network was made up of 20 organizations staffed by specialists in physics, chemistry, optics and spectroscopy. "So many people from different professions had to be united," Platov says. "I was the one who had to unite them, and that was difficult, especially for someone like me." [...]

The Red Web - Russia and the Internet

By Steven Aftergood
Secrecy News
10-5-15

The Internet in Russia is a battleground between activists who would use it as a tool of political and cultural freedom and government officials who see it as a powerful instrument of political control, write investigative journalists Andrei Soldatov and Irina Borogan in their new book The Red Web.For now, the government appears to be winning the battle.

Soldatov and Borogan trace the underlying conflict back to official anxiety in the Soviet era about the hazards of freedom of information. In the 1950s, the first Soviet photocopy machine was physically destroyed at the direction of the government “because it threatened to spread information beyond the control of those who ruled.”

With the introduction of imported personal computers in the 1980s and a connection to the Internet in 1990, new possibilities for free expression and political organizing in Russia seemed to arise. But as described in The Red Web, each private initiative was met by a government response seeking to disable or limit it. Internet service providers were required to install “black boxes” (known by the acronym SORM) giving Russia’s security services access to Internet traffic. Independent websites, such as the authors’ own agentura.ru site on intelligence matters, were subject to blocking and attack. Journalists’ computers were seized.

But the struggle continued. Protesters used new social media tools to organize demonstrations. The government countered with new facial recognition technology and cell phone tracking to identify them. Large teams of “trolls” were hired to disrupt social networks. A nationwide system of online filtering and censorship was put in place by 2012, and has been refined since then. [...]
