'UFO Detector' Disarmed by Police

A so-called "UFO Detector Site" was found by New Jersey State Park Police, and was "disarmed" by unplugging headphone wires from the block of wood as well as the soup can they were plugged into.

A so-called "UFO Detector Site" was found in Wharton State Forest on Saw Dust Pile Road in Tabernacle Township on Friday, the New Jersey State Park Police said in a Facebook post. A detective unit and a K-9 unit were both sent to check out the device, and a member of the k-9 unit named Prime determined the device to be safe.

Hovering UFO Triangle Spotted By Motorist

A New Jersey witness at Jobstown reported an encounter with a hovering, triangle-shaped UFO sitting just above the tree line near a military base, according to testimony in Case 74437 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness was driving home from a nearby campus at 8:30 p.m. on February 12, 2016, traveling along a back road above five miles from a military base. “In the sky I saw three bright lights to my left, overtop of the trees that line the side of the road next to a farm,” the witness stated.“I approached going about 45 mph. I thought it was weird how low that plane seemed to be, but I thought somehow it must be off in the distance. I realized this couldn’t be because the three lights were too large.”

As the witness approached closer, he realized that the object was right above the tree line and did not appear to be moving – just hovering in its place.

“I started to slow to a halt, as this was a back road and I was the only car on the road. I stopped at the bottom of the local farm’s driveway, at the most only 40 feet away from the flying object. I was scared for a second because I knew they saw me, and they knew I was slowing down to get a better look.”

The witness got a good look at the object.

“Through the tree line, I tried to identify the tail, which would have to be the back light, because the ship was facing the road at about a 45-degree angle, with the two bright lights on either side where I would have thought the wings would have been (triangular in shape) were facing toward me at an angle. It did not appear to be a normal plane, nor was it behaving like any plane I have ever heard of before.” [...]

It all started in the early evening of that Tuesday night. It was about 6:30 p.m., and the winter sun was already long gone over the western horizon, past the great Wanaque Reservoir, and behind the darkened Ramapo mountain range.

Wanaque Patrolman Joseph Cisco was in his cruiser when a call from the Pompton Lakes dispatcher came over his police radio. It was a report of a “glowing light, possibly a fire.” Then as if right out of a sci-fi movie Cisco heard the words: “People in Oakland, Ringwood, Paterson, Totowa, and Butler claim there’s a flying saucer over the Wanaque.”

“I pulled into the sandpit, an open area to get my bearings,” Cisco recalls. “There was a light that looked bigger than any of the stars, about the size of a softball or volleyball. It was a pulsating, white, stationary light changing to red. It stayed in the air; there was no noise. I was trying to figure out what it was.”

Wanaque Mayor Harry T. Wolfe, Councilmen Warren Hagstrom and Arthur Barton, and the mayor’s 14-year-old son Billy were on their way to oversee the burning of the borough’s Christmas trees, when they heard the reports that something “very white, very bright, and much bigger than a star” was hovering over the Wanaque Reservoir.      A New Jersey witness at Hazlet reported watching and videotaping a silent, triangle UFO with three red lights, according to testimony in Case 53663 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was returning from a friend’s house on Christmas Eve 2013 when the object was first seen.

“I was making a right turn from Highway 36 onto Middle Road in Hazlet, N.J.,” the witness stated.“After I made a turn me and my wife saw three red objects round in shape moving slowly east about 100 feet above the houses on the right hand side of Middle Road.”

The witness stopped his vehicle at the first house next to Airport Plaza shopping center.

“I pulled out my cell phone to video the object. When I started to video the object it was over me and it started moving straight up. There were no sounds coming from the object. I kept taping it until I couldn’t see it anymore.”

New Jersey MUFON State Section Director Ed Dobson investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown. The case was reported to MUFON on January 22, 2014.

“The object is described as being triangular in shape and having red and white pulsating lights,” Dobson stated in his report.“It was unknown degrees above the horizon and first being noticed out of the west. The witness puts the size between 101-300 feet.

Huge Triangle UFO 'Faded Out,' says Witness

    A New Jersey witness at Vernon reported watching a low flying, “huge” triangle UFO that quickly faded and disappeared from view, according to testimony in Case 73418 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was camping in Vernon on September 15, 2014, and returning to his tent when the incident occurred.

“I just decided to take a gaze up at the sky because it was really clear out and out of nowhere I noticed this huge black, long triangular craft with several steady white lights,” the witness stated. “And it appeared to be the bottom of the craft.”

The witness described how the craft moved.

“It seemed to slowly just creep along the tree line. And once it reached the treeline out in front of me, it just seemed to fade out and disappear.”

The object was very large and was silent.

“This thing was giant. Like a flying aircraft carrier and it made no sound. Was that low and just disappeared does not make sense.”

The witness provided investigators with a sketch of the object. [...]

    A New Jersey witness at Hamilton reported watching and videotaping a cylinder-shaped UFO that appeared to move in a controlled manner, according to testimony in Case 58173 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness and her husband were in their backyard at 10:39 p.m. on July 18, 2014, when bright red lights were first seen moving right-to-left about a mile away in the sky just above the trees.

“Mostly red with a yellow blinking – irregular beat,” the witness stated.“It then moved closer and I realized I was seeing something weird. I told my husband to turn around because I was looking at something very odd. It was hovering at that point, then moved towards us (closest it got to us – maybe 0.25 miles away).”

They watched the object for about 30 seconds and the husband began filming it using his cell phone (video seen above).

“Unfortunately the night-time contrast on the phone filming stinks, so there is no differentiation of treeline and sky, and lights are blurred together.”

But the witness was able to see the object very clearly with the naked eye.

“At this time I could make out the object pretty well: cylinder-shaped with a triangle top, lights were now separated into four horizontal and parallel rows of bright dots/bulbs. All were a bright red, with the bottom two rows adding green and yellow irregularly.”

The object also emitted a sound for a short period of time.

“We were very quiet and I swore I could hear it. It sounded like a quiet wind machine, maybe a slight buzzing. Not as loud as a helicopter. This lasted approx. 10-15 seconds. Then it moved back so quickly, but smoothly, approximately one mile back, began hovering again and the lighting changed to a red X with a greenish irregular blinking light in the middle. Occasionally more red lights in a thin line lit up on the right side of the X. I could not hear it anymore. This lasted approximately 10 seconds.”

The object then moved further away and the witnesses were now only able to make out that it was a red light with a greenish light irregularly blinking.”

     A New Jersey witness at Manalapan reported watching a “black, massive, triangle-shaped” UFO about 9:50 p.m. on June 22, 2015, according to testimony in Case 66935 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was visiting parents in Manalapan at the time the object was first seen.

“I was leaving and as I was packing my car I thought I saw a bat or bird in the sky from the corner of my eye,” the witness stated. “I turned and looked closer to see this thing flying towards me. As it got closer it got larger in size.”

The witness described the object.

“It was massive – about 300 feet wide and 400 feet long, extremely dark, black, triangular shape that looked as if it was a shadow because it reflected no light. I could see the shape of this object so clearly, I couldn’t believe what my eyes were really seeing.”

The object had not lights.

“There were no lights anywhere on this flying triangular-shaped object. It was so very dark, scary, and very creepy, like a bat mobile flying over my head. Unreal!” . . .

     A New Jersey witness at Basking Ridge reported watching a fast moving, black, triangle UFO, according to testimony in Case 62925 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving westbound along Spring Valley Boulevard at 6:50 p.m. on January 27, 2015, when the object was noticed “just under the cloud cover.”

“I observed a very large, black triangular object with flashing red, white and blue lights,” the witness stated. “It was moving at a very high speed and was not making the sounds that a low flying airplane would.”

The witness had trouble keeping the object in view.

“I kept losing it among tall trees and houses, but I did follow it long enough (and saw it enough times) to see it make a sharp turn downward and to the left, all the while its lights flashing brightly and appearing to alternate in color from red to white to blue.”

The witness was still looking for the object when he reached his destination.

“I parked in front of my house and ran from my car just as the craft disappeared from view above and behind the trees of the Bonnie Brae School. . . .

New Jersey witness photographs diamond-shaped UFO at treetop

     A New Jersey witness at Sayreville reported watching and photographing a diamond-shaped UFO moving at the treetop level, according to September 9, 2014, testimony in Case 59688 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside with his dog at 7 a.m. on August 29, 2014 when an object in the northeast sky appeared to be a drone or someone playing with a remote control aircraft.

While it seemed early in the day for remote control aircraft, the witness decided to take out his cell phone and shoot three images of the object.

“The object was diamond-shaped but concave towards the bottom,” the witness stated. “The back almost looked like something out of a movie like it would have engines off the back only it wasn’t moving in the direction the engines were facing. I was able to see this object for about a full minute and-a-half to notice it had what looked to me like a glass area in the front side for observation.” . . .

New Jersey woman spots UFO in back yard

“It was approximately six feet off the ground moving through the backyard and I was only about 10 feet from it at one point. I estimate the size to be eight feet tall by five feet wide. It moved at a pace like a fast walk, but steady.”

     A New Jersey witness at Washington Township reported a bright orange, bell-shaped UFO, in her back yard that quickly moved into the sky and disappeared, according to testimony in Case 59379 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside at 8:30 p.m. on August 14, 2014, as a storm was approaching from the northwest when the object was first seen.

“I walked out my back door and picked a tomato off a patio plant,” the witness stated. “I then walked to the fence on my right and tossed the tomato over it – for the birds. When I turned around, I saw a large orange/red glowing object that reminded me of a burning ember from a fire – very bright.”

The witness described the object’s movement.

“It came from over the top of the neighbor’s lower roof (which is probably 10 feet high), moving steadily toward the southeast through our backyard. It seemed to move right through trees/leaves – if it navigated around them, I didn’t notice that.” . . .

"Ufology has apparently lost its grip on the public imagination, and has been demoted to a neo-cult status"

      As the news of the day pulsed along the once seemingly unthinkable pathways of the information industry — boots on the ground in Gaza, slide show updates on Mila Kunis’s pregnancy — adherents of an earlier future gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The occasion was the annual conference of the Mutual Unidentified Flying Objects Network, which, in accordance with this year’s theme, “UFOs and the Media,” was focused not on the ephemera of the news cycle but rather on the eternalities of what several in attendance called “the biggest single story in history,” i.e., the existence of extraterrestrial life on Earth and the cover-up of that presence by the United States government, the corporate structure, and their oblivious and/or sold-out lackeys in the mainstream press.

While this year’s symposium attracted a reported 400 people, this was a far cry from the thousands who attended the MUFON conference in the late 1970s, after Close Encounters of the Third Kind introduced extraterrestrials to the mainstream moviegoer. That was at a time when a lot of people actually believed that these mysterious things from the sky represented the biggest single thing in history. Since then, despite the recent astronomical findings of the so-called “Goldilocks zone” that postulates sentient life is possible throughout the galaxy, ufology has apparently lost its grip on the public imagination, and has been demoted to a neo-cult status. For the populace at large space is no longer the place. Not that this mattered to those gathered at Cherry Hill. Used to marginalization, they were resolved to keep watching the skies. . . .

     A New Jersey witness at Mercerville who is retired law enforcement reported watching a sphere-shaped UFO that appeared to move toward ground level, according to August 7, 2014, testimony in Case 58710 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside standing on a deck about 8:50 p.m. on August 3, 2014, when the object was first seen.

“I observed out of my top peripheral vision a large bright, white sphere that suddenly appeared at an elevation estimated to be 75 degrees,” the witness stated. “This object was in the northwest sky about 15 degrees to the left of 90 degrees straight overhead when first seen.”

The witness described the object’s size and flight.

“It was about the size of one-quarter inch to five-sixteenth inch in diameter at arm’s length. It had a downward slope to it slightly toward the north of about 10 degrees. This sphere, perfectly round, was a very, very bright, white object in color. The size, shape and color did not vary throughout my observation.” . . .

UFO Photographed Hovering Near Home

     A New Jersey witness at Caldwell reported watching a teal blue UFO that hovered near his home for 20 minutes beginning at 9:38 p.m. on June 26, 2014, according to testimony in Case 57407 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness first saw the object looking through a kitchen window and thought that the color was rather odd.

“The object stood out at first because of its unusual color, which was teal blue and very bright,” the witness stated.

The witness watched the object’s movement and hovering locations.

“The object would hover from left to right in about a range of 200 feet and then it would hover back at its original position and then drop down behind the tree tops out of my view very quickly and then gain altitude to hover again at the original position it started at. The object would continuously perform this odd maneuver for 20 minutes.”

The witness was able to capture images during the encounter.

“The last sighting I had of the object was when it quickly descended behind the tree tops and never reappeared. I observed this object for 20 minutes with my wife while taking photos and video.” . . .

      A Vineland, N.J., couple thought their UFO encounter was not recorded until noticing that a friend captured the hovering craft while driving nearby during the event and posted the image.

The two were surprised to see a friend's Facebook photo posting after watching a low-flying, silent, triangle-shaped UFO moving over their two-story home that shone light onto their property that "illuminated the whole front yard" and slowly moved east and disappeared, according to testimony from Case 53929 in the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. . . .

. . . "My fiance and I were getting into bed in our second story bedroom," the reporting witness stated. "We both noticed bright lights out of our window."

The two got out of bed and moved to the window for a look.

"We noticed that the lights were so bright that it illuminated the whole front yard."

But then they looked up.

"When we looked up, we noticed the triangular shape. It was so low the I could see underneath the object. The object was bigger than my house. The object was completely silent. The object was flying to the east at a crawl."

The following day, the witness discovered a photograph of the object.
