Ufologists, Arizonians and eyewitness to the huge crafts that flew over the Arizona skies back in March of 1997 are all too familiar with the name “Frances Emma Barwood.” Her name is synonymous with the events; her solitary voice pierced the silence of the restrained politically correct and demanded answers!!

Frances Barwood did not duck & run; she did not pass the buck; she did not ignore the situation, nor make light of it (as other government officials would later do) — she did what she was elected to do i.e., represent her constituents and the best interests of the city of Phoenix.

The airspace of her city and state was repeatedly violated by huge unidentified crafts, (and smaller ones) which maneuvered through the skies with impunity; people wanted to know what it was—she was the one to ask!

Born on January 13, 1944 in Ridgewood, Queens, New York, Frances moved from Williston, Vermont to northeast Phoenix in 1980.

Frances was elected to serve her first term on the Phoenix City Council starting January 1992 and was re-elected to a second term January 1994.

As Councilwoman, she represented District 2, which includes most of northeast Phoenix and is the city's largest district. It encompasses over 130 square miles with a population at the time of over 160,000 and is more than 1/4 of the size of Phoenix.

Frances served on the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Air Quality Advisory Committee, as well as the following Phoenix City Council Subcommittees:

  • Environment and Natural Resources Subcommittee - Chair
  • Family, Youth and Education Subcommittee - member
  • Ethics and Audit Subcommittee - member

In January 1997, her peers elected Frances as the Vice-Mayor. Prior to being elected to the Phoenix City Council, she served as a member of the Greater Paradise Valley Chamber of Commerce and precinct and state committeeman for Legislative District 24 and then District 28. She has also served on the Squaw Peak Extension Advisory Committee, the Transportation Committee for the Community Council, and several other organizations.

Frances helped in acquiring a teen center, which became one of the most used centers by young people in the city. It took 4 years and 5 months to accumulate the funding and had been her pet project. She also worked to get the Phoenix' recycling program expanded to the north area; an advocate for our police and fire services; Frances activated the 'Shop Phoenix' campaign in 1995 to educate Phoenix citizens on where their sales taxes go when they shop in other cities and how important it is for Phoenix residents to 'Shop Phoenix' to support their own emergency services. She has done several successful 'Fightback' areas in her northeast district to clean out the crime and blight.

Before running for office, Frances was an office manager for over 20 years and from 1989 to 1991, the part time satellite office coordinator for City Council District 1.

Today, Frances and her husband, Mike, have 3 adult children and a 26 year old grandson. They permanently reside in a small rural community south of Prescott, where Frances is again active in local organizations.

Although it has been a long time coming, Frances Barwood will finally share her personal experiences with what has become known as The Phoenix Lights and its aftermath in the form of two books: one book is on the objects that passed over Arizona on March 13, 1997 and the other on government cover-ups, which also relates to the first book in many areas.

Does Government Manipulate UFO-Themed Media products? British Writer/Lecturer Robbie Graham on The Joiner Report.

Robbie Graham on The Joiner Report

4-9-11

Sherry Boardman     On Thursday night’s The Joiner Report, British writer/lecturer Robbie Graham will discuss his research regarding the possibility of Hollywood and the government’s consultations when UFO-themed films are produced.

Robbie Graham is a full-time doctoral candidate at the University of Bristol, England, for a PhD examining Hollywood’s historical representations of UFOs and extraterrestrial visitation. As a writer and lecturer, his work emphasizes the cultural, industrial and political processes by which Hollywood’s UFO movie content is shaped, as well as the impact of these movies on popular perceptions of the UFO phenomenon.

Graham has been a guest on BBC Radio, Coast to Coast AM, and Canal+ TV. His articles have been featured in a variety of publications including The Guardian, New Statesman, Filmfax, Fortean Times, Adbusters, and the peer-reviewed journal 49th Parallel. He can be contacted through his blog featuring news updates, commentary and articles on Hollywood’s UFO movies. (http://silverscreensaucers.blogspot.com)

The writer/lecturer is scheduled to be one of the speakers at the August 2011 3rd Annual Leeds (England) Exopolitics Expo. His topic is “A Hollywood UFO Conspiracy?” His discussion will be “highlighting the seriousness with which Washington has long regarded the potential of entertainment media to shape popular perceptions of the UFO phenomenon.” Graham said, “This talk will bring together six-decades-worth of concrete cases in which the US government and military have attempted – often successfully – to shape the content of UFO-themed film and television products. In the majority of these cases,” he said, “the government has sought to downplay the significance of UFOs and to massage its own public image in relation to the phenomenon.”

A major article for Graham and co-author Matthew Alford, “A History of Government Management of UFO Perceptions through Film and Television” was made available April 5 on Graham’s blog (http://silverscreensaucers.blogspot.com) as an advanced publication for the Spring 2011 issue of 49th Parallel – a journal of North American Studies jointly run through the UK universities of Birmingham and Nottingham. It considers the subject of government manipulation of UFO-themed media products.

“Of particular interest in the piece,” Graham wrote, “are revelations from the director of Disney’s 2009 movie Race to Witch Mountain concerning covert and seemingly high-level CIA involvement in said production.

Guest Frank Warren to Discuss Crimes Against UFOlogy on The Joiner Report

Guest Frank Warren to Discuss Crimes Against UFOlogy on The Joiner Report

By Sherry Boardman
The Joiner Report

Sherry Boardman     Copyright infringement, plagiarism, piracy, and out right theft have become the crimes against UFOlogy.

Frank Warren, publisher of The UFO Chronicles, will join Angelia on Thursday night’s The Joiner Report to discuss the issues ufologists are battling while continuing their dedicated research.

There are those who seek their own notoriety. Being unable to achieve success, they prey on others who have already concluded years of research and presented it to the public in whatever means available to disseminate the information, often free gratis. It is well-known that those who have availed themselves of others’ end products are receiving illegal monetary gain.

Ufologists are fighting the crimes, but justice is not swift.

Tune in to The Joiner Report Thursday night, March 31, 7:30-9 p.m. Central (8:30-10 p.m. Eastern), http://inceptionradionetwork.com, when Frank Warren will share his insight on these crimes and relate the steps being taken to rectify the misdeeds of others.

The Aztec Incident - 63rd Anniversary | Dr. Frank Thayer Discusses The 1948 UFO Crash & Upcoming Book on The Joiner Report - TONIGHT!

The Aztec Incident - 63rd Anniversary - Dr. Frank Thayer Discusses The 1948 UFO Crash & Upcoming Book on The Joiner Report

This month marks the 63rd anniversary of what has become known as The Aztec Incident, the lesser known “cousin” of the famous Roswell crash, occurring just months apart. Long time researcher Scott Ramsey writes:
The landing and recovery of an extraterrestrial craft near Aztec, New Mexico has been a controversy for nearly 61 years within the UFO community.

The story as first reported by writer Frank Scully, appears in 1950 in his book Behind the Flying Saucers. This was the first hard covered book ever published on flying saucers for people wanting to know more about the subject that was relatively new to the American public.

According to the original story reported by Frank Scully, a flying saucer soft-landed on a mesa outside the town of Aztec, New Mexico in the spring of 1948. Two tenescopes that were at the Los Alamos facility and one near the Alamagordo facility tracked the errant craft.

The story as told to him by Dr. Gee, was that the craft was 100 feet in diameter and in perfect shape.

Dr. Gee and at least eight other "Top Scientist" in the field of magnetism were called in to inspect the craft and try and figure out the principles of it’s propulsion system. According to the story, this was the first that Dr. Gee was to evaluate but the third one that had landed or crashed on this earth.

Dr. Gee, according to Scully, (a composite of 8-9 scientists) worked through the recovery with the "who’s –who" in the scientific field at that time. These scientists had a collective resume that had them working on some of the most incredible projects during World War II and through the post war years.

The craft at Aztec yielded 16 humanoid bodies that were between 36 - 42 inches in height wore tight fitting one piece flight suits and appeared to have perfect teeth. The bodies were burned to a dark brown color (scientist were unable to explain at the time of Scully’s book being published).

The craft itself, according to Dr. Gee, was taken to a "Top Secret Lab" where it was evaluated and again by the time of Scully’s book, scientist still had not figured out the means of propulsion and the many metals it was know to have that defied modern day scientist.
Not to long ago Scott Ramsey stumbled across an article re the Aztec crash penned by Dr Frank Thayer, who coincidentally lives in New Mexico; the former reached out to Thayer and a friendship was borne.

Scott enlightened Dr Thayer to his decades long research into the Aztec event, and informed him that a book was forthcoming. Dr Thayer, being the department head of Journalism and Mass Communications Department at New Mexico State University offered his expertise as 'editor' and Scott gratefully welcomed him aboard.

Dr Thayer being privy to the nearly completed manuscript is cognizant of information pertaining to Scott’s research that has never seen the light of day; join host Angelia Joiner, and Dr Frank Thayer as they delve into the controversial Aztec Incident!

TONIGHT 3-3-11| Veteran Ufologist, Grant Cameron On The Joiner Report

Grant Cameron On The Joiner Report

By Sherry Boardman
The Joiner Report

Listen To Show in The Archives Here

Sherry Boardman     Grant Cameron will be Thursday night’s guest on The Joiner Report. Cameron recently attended the 2011 International UFO Congress and will discuss some of the meeting’s highlights.

Alejandro Rojas will also be one the show. Rojas is one of the team members of Open Minds Production who hosted the Arizona event. Speakers on the program included Travis Walton, Stanton Friedman, Dr. John Alexander, Leslie Kean, Paul Hellyer, James Penniston, John Burroughs, and other notable guests. Panels of astrophysicists, nuclear physicists, abductees, and former top-secret-clearance military personnel made up just a portion of highly decorated and influential speakers. Exhibitors from around the globe also attended. The conference covered a large variety of topics related to the UFO phenomenon including technology, government cover-ups, exopolitics, black projects, crop circles, alien visitation and more.

Grant Cameron (www.presidentalufo.com) is well known for his in-depth research in ufology and the study of U.S. Presidents’ remarks on the subject of reported unknown objects making aerial appearances all over the world.

He first became involved in the UFO phenomena in May 1975 with personal sightings of an object in Carman, Manitoba, Canada, which locally became known as Charlie Red Star.

After composing a manuscript on those happenings, he spent time researching the work of the late Wilbert B. Smith who was the head of the Canadian government flying saucer investigation known as Project Magnet, which ran from 1950 to 1954. Years of Smith research led to the discovery of former Penn State University president Dr. Eric Walker, who was identified by Dr. Robert Sarbacher as a key person inside the UFO cover-up. Cameron teamed up with T. Scott Crain to research and write a book titled “UFOs, MJ-12, and the Government,” published by MUFON. The book summed up their three years of research on Dr. Walker’s involvement.

Cameron then turned his attention to the involvement and actions of the U.S. Presidents and has made numerous trips to the National Archives and most of the various presidential archives searching for presidential UFO material. He said that one of the highlights of the research was the chance to question Vice-President Dick Chaney on his knowledge of the subject. Another exceptional event was the release of 1,000 pages of UFO documents from the Clinton administration, many of which are recorded on The Presidents UFO Website.

Tune in to Thursday night’s The Joiner Report, March 3, 7:30 p.m. Central, at www.inceptionradionetwork.com, with host Angelia Joiner and guest Grant Cameron.
