working in multiple scientific fields, including quantum optics and crypto-mathematics, as well as leading mission-oriented research and analysis teams.

"Jon possesses the unique set of scientific and technical skills, policy knowledge, and proven leadership experience required to enhance AARO's efforts to research and explain unidentified anomalous phenomena to the Department, Congress, and the American people," said Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks.

As the AARO director, Dr. Kosloski will head DoD's efforts, in coordination with the Intelligence Community, to minimize technical and intelligence surprise by synchronizing scientific, intelligence, and operational detection, identification, attribution, and mitigation of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) in the vicinity of national security areas.

Under his leadership, AARO will continue to examine the U.S. government historical record relating to UAP, as well as efforts to declassify and release UAP-related records to the greatest extent possible.

Dr. Jon T. Kosloski

Dr. Jon T. Kosloski serves as the Director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). Prior to that, Dr. Kosloski held technical and leadership positions within the Research Directorate of the National Security Agency (NSA). In that capacity, he led advanced mission-oriented research in the fields of networking and computing, and served as a subject matter expert in the area of Free Space Optics, advising various DoD agencies. In addition to his optics research and crypto-mathematics, Dr. Kosloski invented an advanced language-agnostic search engine and served at the DoD Special Communications Enterprise Office.

Dr. Kosloski received Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Physics from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. The focus of his Doctoral research was the invention of novel devices that leverage principles from quantum optics to receive very weak phase-encoded signals. After completing the theoretical analysis of two new optical receiver designs, Dr. Kosloski worked with scientists from the National Institute of Standards and Technology to demonstrate the abilities of his designs to achieve record sensitivities. Dr. Kosloski is also a graduate from NSA’s Cryptanalysis Development Program.

UFO Lands Near Near Nuclear Missile Site; Security Forces Dispatched

Article presented by www.theufochronicles.com entitled, Minot Launch COntrol Center 'Saucer' Cited As One Indication of Outer Space Visitors by he Minot Daily News 2-6-1966

"... personnel on the surface reported seeing a UFO with a red light high in the sky. At the same time, a radar crew picked up the object ..."

More than three months after it reportedly occurred, and Unidentified Flying Object sighting in the Minot area has been blown up as a lead-off topic in an article entitled, "Are Flying Saucers Real" which appears in the latest issue of the Saturday Evening Post magazine.

This sighting says the Post article occurred at a Minot Air force Base Minuteman missile launch control center. Date of the incident is given as Aug. 25, 1966.

Base information offices confirmed such a report was made. It was never released in Minot, but was sent to Wright-Patterson Field in Ohio. From there, it presumably was channeled to the Secretary of the Air Force's office–and again, presumably, released to the magazine.

The article is by J. Allen Hynek, identified as chairman of Northwestern University's astronomy department and an Air Force consultant on "Flying Saucers" from 1948 until this year.

The Minot incident is detailed in this manner:

A launch control center officer, who was in an underground capsule, discovered static was interfering with radio transmission, while he was attempting to clear the problem, personnel on the surface reported seeing a UFO with a red light high in the sky. At the same time, a radar crew picked up the object at a height estimated at 100,000 ft.

Static stopped when the object climbed, the report maintains. After climbing, it began to swoop and dive, then apparently landed some distance away.

"Missile-site control sent a strike team ... to check. When the team was about 10 miles from the landing site, static disrupted radio contact with them. Five to eight minutes later, the glow diminished and the UFO took off. Another UFO was visually sighted and confirmed by radar. The one that was first sighted passed beneath the second. Radar also confirmed this. The first made for altitude toward the north and the second seemed to disappear with a glow of red."

U.S. Has 'Flying Saucers' and Pilot, Says Colorado Man

A UFO Chronicle entitled, “Colorado Man Alleges U.S. Has “Flying Saucers” and “Pilot” From One of Them” was published by The Pueblo Star-Journal back in 1952. This was the proclamation from one, Joseph Rohrer to Chamber of Commerce members in a meeting at the Vial Hotel.

"The United States government not only has a number of flying saucers from outer space in its possession but it also has a living "pilot" taken from a crashed saucer in Montana two years ago ..."

The United States government not only has a number of flying saucers from outer space in its possession but it also has a living "pilot" taken from a crashed saucer in Montana two years ago, Joseph Rohrer told Pueblo Chamber of Commerce
members at the organization's weekly membership meeting today noon in the Vial hotel. Speaking on the "Mystery of Flying Saucers," Rohrer also stated that there is some fact and some fiction involved in flying saucer reports.

[...]

The president of the Pikes Peak Broadcasting Co., alleged that he was inside one of seven flying saucers at a California federal base in 1942. The saucers are giant flywheels covered with metal skins, he stated. They are powered by electrostatic turbines and have cabins in the center. The cabins are pressurized and have an atmosphere containing 30 percent oxygen and 70 percent helium, instead of part nitrogen.

Thru the use of the flywheel, a magnetic field is created which permits the saucers to travel at tremendous speeds, said Rohrer, who became interested in flying saucers as the result of a thesis he wrote on electronic tubes used to measure electronic tubes during his college training in electrical engineering.

“If a magnetic field is opened around the earth it should be possible to travel at about the speed of light,” he stated. “They have never tried to fly the saucers that have been captured. They are put together in five sections and come apart easily after the center section is removed.”

I have been in one which is 100 feet in diameter and 18 feet thick, Rohrer stated. “The sleeping quarters for crew members are tubes with caps on the ends and the cabin was pressurized and air conditioned.”

(MIKE Flt). When UFO climbed, static stopped. The UFO appeared to be S.E. of MIKE 6, range undetermined. At 0512Z, UFO climbed for altitude after hovering for 15 minutes. South radar base gave altitude at 100,000 feet, N.W. of Minot AFB, NDak. At this time a Strike Team reported UFO descending, checked with Radar Site, they also verified this. The UFO then began to swoop and dive. It then appeared to land 10 to 15 miles South of MIKE 6. "MIKE 6" Missile Site Control sent a Strike Team to check. When the team was about 10 miles from the landing site, static disrupted radio contact with them. Five (5) to eight (8) minutes later, the glow diminished and the UFO took off. Another UFO was visually sighted and confirmed by radar. The one that was first sighted passed beneath the second. Radar also confirmed this. The first, made for altitude towards the North and the second seemed to disappear with the glow of red. A3C SEDOVIC at the South Radar base confirmed this also. At 0619Z, two and one half (2 1/2) hours after the first sighting, and F-106 interceptor was sent up. No contact or sighting was established. The Control Tower asked the Aircraft Commander of the KC-135 which was flying in the local area to check the area. He reported nothing. The Radar Site picked up an echo on radar which on checking was the KC-135. No other sightings. At 0645Z discontinued search for UFO.

UFOs: Air Force Successfully Blocks Congressional Investigation – 1961

Flying-Object Probe Out This Session - Waterbury Republican 8-6-1961

No House investigation of the Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) will be held this session. The Air Force is understood to have succeeded in blocking it.

U.S. Rep. Joseph E. Karth, chairman of the sub-committee that

was picked to probe the UFO situation, predicted that hearings will be held in the next session of Congress, which starts next January. Karth may get the backing of House Leader John W. McCormack, D-Mass., in this plan.

[...]

Despite the Air Force pressure and prestige, men like House Leader McCormack, Adm. R. H. Hillenkoetter, former head of the CIA, a considerable number of veteran pilots, a few former Pentagon officials who were close to the situation while in the Pentagon and other experts in the field of the atmosphere and its sights, all disagree with the Air Force.

These persons hold that certain of the sightings constitute something real and unknown, and demand investigation. Leader McCormack, Adm. Hillenkoetter and others believe the Air Force has been withholding some information. The move for congressional hearings will continue, it is indicated at the Capitol.

UFO Caught On Security Cam Over La Pampa | ARGENTINA

UFO Caught On Security Cam Over La Pampa - ARGENTINA

The event took place at 23:15 hours. A strange luminous body in the sky was recorded by security cameras in the neighboring locality of Arata.

By Luis Burgos
Inexplicata
8-4-20
Judging from the images, this would be some sort of unidentified body re-entering the atmosphere, enveloped in flames.

The image was seen by a police officer who was on duty at the time, and further corroborated by a camera located at the corner of Alsina and Italia streets in the neighboring locality of Arata.

Luis Burgos adds: "If the video hasn't been manipulated, it is certainly compelling. Despite having the *appearance* of being a *bolide*, the horizontal movement of its trajectory is very striking, as opposed to a parabolic one. I agree that the its trajectory suggest that it isn't artificial. This perhaps has to do with the angle of escape"

The UFO incident of Necochea

The UFO Incident of Necochea

Argentinean Navy Releases Documents Regarding Necochea UFO

The Argentinean navy released a series of documents related to the UFO sighting of Necochea in 1962. The documents present the story told by a motorist who was chased by a flying disc around La Dulce.
By Inexplicata
1-29-19

CEFORA recently published an article disclosing details of an important UFO sighting that took place in that city nearly 55 years ago.

On August 29, 1962, Osman Alberto Simonini told his story about a UFO encounter near the 28 Km marker on Route 86. Simonini was on his way, leaving La Dulce, from the "Malabrigo" farm owned by Ernesto Arias. The case became widely known through an article in Ecos Diarios: The Navy commission launched an investigation through Captain Omar Paganini and the case now forms part of the private files of [researcher] Roberto Banchs.

The incident took place around 8:10 pm, as Simonini drove at low speed and became aware - looking to his left, following his vehicle on a parallel trajectory at a distance of three meters and two meters above - of an "artifact" looking like two plates connected on their widest edges, gunmetal-colored, measuring approximately 5 meters in diameter.

The object projected beams of green and blue light from its lower section. The beams were two meters wide, according to the description.

Simonini says the artifact escorted him some 200 meters. The motorist was also able to see the grass moving as well, this being proof of its low altitude and some sort of "air or energy" expelled from the object's lower section.

The object sped ahead some 200 meters, cutting him off some 600 meters ahead, near the road's shoulder at low altitude. Upon reaching the 26 Km. marker, the object executed a sharp 90 degree turn into the cultivated area. Simonini followed it and saw the object hover at a distance of less than a meter. He stopped and tried to approach the fence that separated the field from the road, placing his hands on the wiring, discovering as he did so that the metal was quite hot. He moved his hands away, only to find that the wire was even hotter further along. He wandered a few metes along the fence until he could make sure the wire was entirely cold.

Two minutes later, the object took off at high speed and vanished into the sky.

The witness reported his story to the Border Commissioner, the Federal Police Director, and officers of the Mar del Plata Air Force, with the support of writer Juan Jose La Terza, who claimed to have received the following reply when the incident was notified to the authorities:

"Authorities specializing in these studies advised me that there was nothing extraordinary about the event, as phenomena of this sort was already being accepted as real, and that the scientific establishment was waiting for the next step: making contact with these artifacts.

At the time, Guillermo Giménez (CEFORA member and a contributing editor to INEXPLICATA) conducted an exhaustive local investigation after Juan Jose La Terza had contacted him.

The article (in Spanish) along with other cases can be found at the following link here.

The documentation includes the report written by La Terza, who acted as an advocate for witness Simonini.
