Police Dashcam Captures Daytime Fireball Over Canada | UFO NEWS – VIDEO
A dashcam video released by York Regional Police shows the thrilling moment a meteor zipped across the sky with a bright glow Sunday afternoon.
Police shared a five-second video clip with their YouTube and Twitter followers Monday, providing some of the clearest footage of the space rock as it streaked over Ontario at incredible speed.
The moment was filmed by the in-car camera at exactly 4:17 p.m., as the police cruiser travelled through the intersection of Mulock Drive and Steven Court in Newmarket, north of Toronto.
An expert from Western University in London, Ont., confirmed Monday the object was a meteor that entered Earth’s atmosphere.
Astronomy Prof. Peter Brown told CTV News the meteor passed over an area near Peterborough, northeast of Toronto.
Brown said a shockwave was detected by microphones set up by the university, although most of the equipment it uses to track meteors was not functioning when witnesses reported a fireball or loud rumble. . . .

More Readers Witness UFO Over York | UFO NEWS
READERS have continued to contact The Press to tell how they too saw a UFO in the sky over York on Wednesday evening, after we appealed for more witnesses to come forward.
Andy Cheetham, of Holgate, said he saw what looked like a very bright shooting star travel across the sky just after 9pm.
He said: “I was locking up my bike outside The Swan pub in Bishopthorpe Road,” he said. “It left a visible trail behind it, like a meteorite burning up.
“It was greenish white, moved slower than shooting stars generally do and was heading west across the city.”
Michelle Moran said she and her partner saw something falling from the sky, with a blue and red glow and travelling quite fast.
She said: “I commented that superman has just landed.” . . .

UFO NEWS | Teen Claims Video Shows UFO Over New Freedom
NEW FREEDOM, Pa. (WHTM) - A York County teen says he saw something that can't be explained while he was at the New Freedom carnival Thursday night.
Alex Martin says he saw two bright orange lights, whipped out his cell phone and recorded it, then posted the video on YouTube. He's convinced his dark and grainy video is evidence of UFO's.
"It wasn't like coming over the trees or anything, it just appeared right there in the sky," he said. . . .
