Strange UFO Spotted in in the Skies Above Wigan (UK)

A WIGAN man has told of a strange
sighting in the skies above Wigan.

     John Chadwick, 62, from Hawkley Hall was so taken aback by what he saw he felt compelled to contact us in a bid to see if anyone else had witnessed the sighting.

In his own words, John takes us back to the night of Sunday, May 4: “It was 9.30 and I was waiting for a bus at Carr Lane bus stop when I saw this really bright LED-type light in the sky.

“It was slowly rising and seemed to be getting bigger and elongating a little until it stopped still for about 15 seconds before sort of meandering back down towards the ground.”

John had been in The Hawk pub but hadn’t been drinking so knows it wasn’t ‘the ale talking’ and is keen to know if anyone else saw the light, which was in the vicinity of Scotman’s Flash.

He went on: “It was really weird. Once I lost sight of it behind the top of the shops I stepped out into the road to see if I could spot it again when it started rising up again, this time bigger than before and it seemed to have a little red light attached to it on one side.

“There was no sound but it wasn’t a helicopter or a plane and I’ve seen Chinese Lanterns in the sky and it wasn’t one of those either. . . .

A WIGAN man claims to have seen martians meandering through the skies over Marsh Green.

      The man, who doesn’t wish to be named, spotted a mysterious object last night (Tuesday) and was so stunned he whipped out his mobile phone and filmed it.

“It was big and orange and moving oddly - it wasn’t a plane or helicopter and it looked too big to be one of those chinese lantern things. I don’t know what it was. Perhaps it was martians, who knows?

“It was late - about quarter past eleven - and I was just going to bed when I saw it out the corner of my eye.”

There have been numerous sightings of strange objects over the skies of Wigan during the last decade - some easily explained, some not so. . . .

     A WIGAN teenager was left stunned after photographing three bizarre UFOs above his home.

The youth, 19, who doesn’t wish to be identified, captured the objects on his iphone as they hovered in the skies above his house in Swinley on Sunday evening.

He said: “I was just getting into my car and looked up to see these three black objects in the sky pretty much above me. I managed to rattle of a picture or two but when I nipped back inside to tell my mum to come and have a look they had gone. . . .

Mysterious UFO Captured on Film

     A keen-eyed Wiganer has captured this UFO in the skies above Wigan on his video camera.

The man in his 30s, who only revealed his first name as Geoff, filmed the strange object hovering near to junction 27 of the M6 at Shevington Moor last month.

So shocked at what he saw he didn't know who to tell or what to do with his footage until he showed it to a friend, who urged him to contact the local press to see if anyone else had reported it.

The footage clearly shows a strange object hovering in the sky for several minutes before vanishing into thin air.

Geoff said: "I was driving through Shevington when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye hovering above some houses. My first thought was that it was a helicopter, but after a while I noticed it wasn't moving at all and wasn't making any sound. And it looked to be in two pieces.

"I pulled over and kept watching it and it was the strangest thing. Then a chinook helicopter flew close by, followed by another type of helicopter – it might be me but they seemed to be checking it out.

"I had my video camera in my car with me, so I took some footage of the object. It was there in the sky perfectly visible then it just disappeared from my viewfinder."

This sighting is the latest in a long line of sightings from across the country of strange objects in the sky, but it is made all the remarkable because it is captured on film.

Last year a young man from Hindley captured a UFO on his mobile phone whilst standing outside his local pub, but the footage is poor compared to Geoff's amazing video. "I've shown it to a few people," said Geoff.

"Some think it's a UFO, others think it's just a kite or balloon. But if it was a kite where was the line and how on earth was it so still for that length of time – and where did it disappear to all of a sudden?

"I don't particularly believe in little green men and all that, but I am open-minded enough to know that whatever it was, it was not a conventional flying machine."
