“Shortly after pulling up by the school, the occupants of the car saw a bright light that looked like a ball of fire,” Jesse said. “My grandmother was in the back driver’s side of the car, and she said that the light was approaching the car from the rear passenger’s side. They all assumed it was a flash light or car headlight of someone to come open up the door to the school. The light got brighter and it filled the car interior with light. It was so bright, my grandmother said it was as bright as daylight.”

UFO Shuts Down Witness’s Car

UFO Shuts Down Witness’s Car

An Alabama witness recalls a UFO encounter near Scottsboro when “an intense white light” engulfed the vehicle he was driving and shut off the car, street lights and watches, according to December 10, 2014, testimony in Case 61905 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The events occurred in April of 1981 when the witness accompanied his fiancée and her parents to visit the fiancée’s brother and family in Scottsboro. . . .

. . . “At around 11:30 p.m. we left her brother’s house and began the 5-7 mile trip to the in-law’s house. After about a quarter-mile the car began to knock and shut off. The radio stopped and shut off. At the same time, a bright white light appeared over the tree line just off the road to the right – approximately to the northeast.”

The sounds of Mother Nature disappeared.

“We had the windows cracked about two inches and noticed no crickets which we heard upon leaving the house and entering the car. The road is narrow at that point, with water on the left side and a house just prior to it. There is a street light at that point, which had also turned off when the bright light appeared.”

The witnesses did not understand what was happening to them.

“As the intense and blinding white light shone upon us through the windshield with us trying to peer up and find out what was going on, Anna asked if we should get out to see.

“I said, ‘No,’ also mentioning that we should stay buckled in and lock the doors, forgetting about the windows being partially down.”

They then noticed another anomaly.

“I looked at my new Seiko LCD watch and it had stopped, as the screen was blank and even the internal light would not work when I pressed the button. Anna’s battery powered analog watch even stopped. I don’t remember the exact time, though.” . . .

Triangle UFO Hovers Over Alabama Bridge

Triangle UFO Hovers Over Alabama Bridge

An Alabama witness driving along I-459 at the Morgan Road exit near Hoover reported watching a black triangle UFO hovering over a bridge, according to testimony in Case 61566 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving toward Hoover at 5:55 p.m. on November 19, 2014, and had just passed the Morgan Road exit when the object was first seen.

“I see what looks like a small, two-seat airplane,” the witness stated. “I say that because it was low – tree tops – and was moving across the sky going to my right. It was not going too fast. The Bessemer airport is about 5-10 miles from where I was.”

But then the object made an unusual maneuver.

“All of a sudden this object turns upside down and goes back to the left. It stops and hovers. I was thinking – that sure don’t act or seem like a small airplane?”

The witness continued to move closer to the object.

“As I get close I see it’s a black triangle craft hovering right over a bridge along I-459. I could not believe it. Someone else had to see it. The interstate was busy – but so far no reports on the news.”

The witness drove under the object.

“As I drove up I-459 and went under the overpass/bridge, I was right under this thing. Like I said, it was a dark triangle craft hovering. It had 3-4 lights on each side. They were white, bright like a big flood light. They were blinking on and off. One side the lights would blink 1,2,3,4. Then go dark. Then the other side would blink 1,2,3,4.”

The witness could not stop.

“I tried to slow down and get a picture but traffic would not allow it. I saw this thing for about 30 seconds to one minute. Once I was under it – it was very, very low – tree top height.” . . .

UFO Sightings in Fyffe, Alabama Make National Headlines

“FYFFE, Alabama – The prospect of seeing a UFO lured more than 4,000 people to this town of 1,300 in northeast Alabama Friday night, but for all the hoopla no unidentified flying objects were sighted. Visibility was difficult because of clouds and light rain. Fyffe got on the UFO circuit Feb. 10, when a woman reported seeing a strange light in the sky and the police later reported seeing a large lighted object passing silently over them. Numerous other sightings have been reported since then.” – New York Times, March 6, 1989
Twenty-five years ago last week, the tiny DeKalb County town of Fyffe, Ala., became the center of national attention.

On Friday, Feb. 11, 1989, the first call was made to the Fyffe Police Department. A woman reported seeing a strange object in the sky. By the end of Feb. 12, more than 50 residents had reported seeing the strange objects, including the town’s police chief and his assistant.

The object was described by a witness as hovering “at an angle from 1 o’clock to 7 o'clock with bright lights at the top and bottom. The curvature was outlined in green with "a real bright light in the center.”

Fyffe Police Chief Charles “Junior” Garmany and Assistant Police Chief Fred Works responded to the initial call and soon saw something in the sky.

Garmany and Works were driving along DeKalb County Road 43 but stopped and stepped out of the car when they saw an object in the sky that was “bigger than a jumbo jet” and silent. They described it as metallic and triangular shaped. . . .

Silver Disc UFO Reported '20 Feet Off Ground' Over Small Alabama Town

By Roger Marsh

An Alabama couple driving north along I-65 in Calera reported watching "a silver disc 20 feet off of the ground and about 50 feet" away, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witnesses first noticed "two bright, white flood lights and a blinking red light in the middle."

"The lights were brighter than any I have ever seen," the reporting witness stated. "We thought it was a tower. I was supposed to turn left after getting off at the Shelby Co. Airport exit, but just had to go right and check it out."

The couple disagreed over whether the lights were on a tower or not.

"We saw from very close up, a silver disc with white lights on either side and a red flashing light on the middle front. I felt as if it was watching us because it was tilted towards us. She said 'lookout!' as I was going into the other lane and a car was coming."

We have noticed this object flying by over our house about the same time. each time we have seen it. Its very bright as if the sunset is reflecting off of it however if it was a plane you should be able to see the wings.

Well tonight we saw it again. One went over our house, same flight path as others weve seen, no sound, no visible wings, appears to have red on the surface. One flew over then we looked up and saw another one heading our way. Same flight path as the first. I ran got my camera and took a pic.

The object focused very well in camera but blurred before I could get a snapshot. It was sliver, no wings, no obvious windows or tail, or trail. It had two groved areas around the middle like the belly was groved or dipped inward. This is where the red color was from.

As it passed over our roof we ran to the front yard to try to catch it and get another pic but it disappeared. Very clear blue sky at about close to sunset is when we saw it and have seen them each time.

Update: 3/28/11, 8:40 A.M. Here is follow up on the Radiation Alert from this morning. The Monitoring Station in question is located in Huntsville, Alabama. It triggered alerts based on radiation levels averaging in the 100 to 150 CPM range. We tried to reach the station through a number of different means, including via the Chat forum available from within the Radiation Network, but to no avail. So after a half hour or so, we contacted the Huntsville Fire Department and recommended they take independent radiation readings in the vicinity of the Monitoring Station.

TANNER, AL (WAFF) – As drivers whiz by the Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road exit on I-65 North, specks of black in the stark white snow are pretty hard to miss.

Upon a closer look, you'll see that there are scores of dead black birds, about 300 of them.

Wildlife biologist Bill Gates of the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge said they're grackles, a native black bird.
