Motorist Reports UFO Hovering Along Interstate 70
| An Indiana witness at Greencastle reported a hovering, glowing sphere along Interstate 70 that appeared to move toward the ground level, according to testimony in Case 74094 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness was driving and could not stare directly at the object.
“I once again trained my attention back to the object. It was now beginning to move horizontally to the right from my perspective. This lasted only a few seconds.”
But then the object seemed to take a nose dive.
“The object suddenly descended almost straight down into the treeline. It moved so fast I expected to see smoke or something to begin to rise in the area it happened. I did not see anything after that. I later checked online news to see if there had been any flight accidents or meteor sighting. Nothing had been reported to my surprise. I am a rational person with analytically-inclined conclusions. My reporting of this event was not taken lightly. I cannot explain what I witnessed.” [...]

Disc-Shaped UFO Photographed During Camping Trip

An Indiana witness at Metamora recalled a UFO incident from 1988 when he and his brother watched a disc-shaped object moving overhead at incredible speeds and angles and then later captured the object on film, according to Case 73477 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The sighting occurred on October 3, 1988, while the brothers were camping on a hill on their father’s property.
“We were watching Monday Night Football on a portable battery powered television,” the witness stated.“The reception began to go in and out several times during the game keeping us busy moving the antenna around to get reception, when we noticed a dim glowing object in the sky straight above us moving in strange directions.”
The witness described the object.
“The light made sudden stops and turned at sharp angles in the sky. We watched it for about two minutes before it shot out of the night sky.”
The next day the two brothers went squirrel hunting and returned to the camp during the afternoon.
“Before packing up I took a picture of my brother standing in our camp. Not until the film was developed sometime later, we noticed the object in the sky above our camp. There was no noise coming from the object. We had heard planes fly over earlier while hunting because sound carries well on top of that hill. My brother and I had a hard time believing what we saw that night above our camp. My brother had not been out of the Air Force very long and said that he knew of no such plane that could maneuver like that. We only now after some 27 years have decided to share this because at the time this happened people looked at you like you’re a nut or liar. We are not looking for attention here, but would like an honest opinion of what we encountered.” [...]

UFO Videotaped Over Indiana 5-26-14
An Indiana witness at Sellersburg reported watching and videotaping a rectangle-shaped UFO crossing the clear blue sky, according to testimony in Case 56640 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was walking to his car about 6:30 p.m. on May 26, 2014, when the object was first noticed and thought to be an airliner.
“It was moving from west to east at high altitude and at a comparable speed to an airliner in my estimation,” the witness stated.“As I looked closer, I noticed the object did not appear to have wings.”
The witness then began taking photos and videos of the object with his phone.
“After the object was far enough away so as not to be visible, I got in my car and cropped the photos down to get a closer look. It was then that I was pretty sure that what I had just saw was no conventional aircraft. It appeared to have no wings or tailwing. It also appeared to be rectangular in shape, with a perfectly squared front and back. Did not look at all aerodynamic in the pictures. [...]

Triangle-Shaped UFO Moved Low Over a Government Installation
The Indiana witness near Clinton who recently recalled a UFO incident from 1994 when a slow moving, triangle-shaped UFO moved low over a government installation while he was conducting security work, has named the Newport Chemical Depot as the site during an interview with Indiana MUFON Field Investigator Ned Delaney, in Case 66660 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness stated that he was on patrol at the Newport Chemical Depot near Clinton, Indiana. The witness was working a midnight shift with a partner on a routine patrol of the perimeter fence line installation about 2 a.m. in September 1994 when the object was observed.
“We had stopped to observe a northern section of the fence line,” the witness stated. “I noticed a dim light in the distance that seemed to be above the ground level and tree line. So we stayed in the vehicle and observed the light configuration as it grew nearer to our position.”
. . . “As the craft continued to approach, the air seemed to get muggy and hard to breath. It was like a dead air situation. The craft just kept getting larger and larger as it approached our position. It seemed like a long time had passed when it finally reached the fence line where we were.”
The witness described the object.
“The size of that thing was huge. It was at least 300 to 350 feet in length and at least 125 to 150 feet wide on the tail end of its triangle shape. The top of the craft was not dome shaped, but it looked like it was a raised structure with portals along its sides, like the port holes in the side of a sailing ship. They were dimly lit and in a neat row close to the mid line of the craft. The bottom of the craft was like a giant convex mirror.” . . .

Witnesses Chase UFO at New Albany, Indiana?

An Indiana witness at New Albany reported watching and following a bright light UFO that appeared to get the attention of ground responders in all-terrain vehicles about 5:30 p.m. on December 22, 2014, according to testimony in Case 62108 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was heading home at 5:30 p.m. along westbound I-265 about two miles from the intersection with I-64 when the object was first seen.
“As I was approaching the interchange, I saw a bright light hovering or moving slowly in the distance,” the witness stated. “Although it was beginning to get dark, there was plenty of late, bright sunshine. The only clouds were much higher than the object.”
The witness described the object.
“The object had a luminous trail behind it of about 20-50 feet. When it eventually passed through some small clouds I could still see the light it generated. As I began heading north up I-64, the object moved toward Edwardsville. I was driving 45-50 mph and it was parallel to me.”
But then the object appeared to slow down and began moving toward Georgetown.
“In 20-30 seconds it gradually faded to nothing, while still moving.”
About this time, the witness began to hear sirens.
“I entered onto SR 62 and first responder vehicles were arriving from both directions and shut down the road. Twice I saw a first responder run across the road, up an embankment and into the area of an abandoned golf course. To me, they were looking for something.”
Then the witness and two other vehicles were allowed to proceed. . . .

Triangle UFO Reported Hovering Over Indiana Town

An Indiana witness reported watching a triangle UFO silently hovering over a highway near a downtown area about 9:10 p.m. on September 7, 2014, according to testimony in Case 59692 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness – who reported the sighting on September 9, 2014 – did not name the town in the public portion of the report. She was driving in the downtown area during a thunderstorm when an object was seen approaching at a low altitude.
“It was a very large triangle and the lights on the outside seemed like they changed from green to white,” the witness stated. “There were no red lights at all on this craft.”
The witness watched the object as it moved through the area.
“Then very slowly and silently it hovered for a moment over a building near an intersection where I caught a red light. I nearly hit a parked car trying to observe it and cars coming at me seemed like they were veering to look it also.”
The witness tried to listen for any sound coming from the object.
“Then it changed direction to move southwest and even though it was storming out I tried to listen for sound by rolling down my car window and heard nothing. It moved slowly at first and then like a shot it was gone.” . . .

It is estimated that 16 tornadoes touched ground this past Sunday, wreaking havoc across Indiana and Illinois. A resident near one of these tornadoes in Noblesville, Indiana caught a strange object zipping around the tornado, despite high winds.

SCOTTSBURG – Following a spate of UFO sightings across southern Indiana Wednesday, debate has intensified once more over whether or not intelligent life exists inside the Hoosier State.
Several disc-shaped crafts hovering over Scottsburg, Indiana were reported to local media yesterday, while as many as three Hoosiers claimed to have been kidnapped briefly by extraterrestrials.
According to psychologists at Indiana University, the claims appear to add weight to the argument that the state is devoid of any sort of sophisticated lifeforms.

UFO is Described as 'Blimp on Fire' | UFO NEWS

Three Indiana witnesses at Mexico reported watching a slow moving object move overhead that looked like a "blimp on fire" about 11:09 p.m. on June 4, 2013, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The Indiana couple and their son were in the backyard on a clear evening when the object was first seen.
"It was moving slowly, or at least slower than you would expect an aircraft of that altitude or size," the reporting witness stated. "It just wasn't right."
The witness described the object.
"It moved in a steady, straight line. No sound whatsoever. We watched it for about a minute or less, not sure. It had a short cigar to blimp shape. Was orange on the bottom and deep red on the top. It actually looked like a blimp on fire. I have never seen such an object as this and we live close to an Air Force base. We are used to seeing aircraft." . . .

My great aunt was taking food to her father and grandfather working the fields all day as she did every day. She would take a horse and cart out to where they were working, have lunch, and then come back home. On this particular day, she could not find her father or grandfather. She then heard them yelling at her to get inside the woods nearby and hide. She complied and that's where they began telling her that they had been watching some sort of flying machine that didn't make any sort of noise flying around the field. They supposedly watched little people get out of the craft and take pieces of corn and soil, and then they flew away. The uncle and father had been hiding in the woods for some time afraid to leave.
All the people in the video have now passed on, but my grandma who is now in her mid 80s, the daughter in the story or niece, gave me this tape because she was curious if I could find any other reports from that time frame of anybody reporting the same sort of thing. I have the tape of the story, and that's about it. It's just a story, but interesting. . . .

Another Witness Chimes in On Indiana Sightings; Says, Smaller Objects Separated From Main Body | MY UFO EXPERIENCE
Last night, 11/16/12, in the sky between Greenwood, Indiana, and Whiteland, Indiana I saw a bright light in the sky, it looked like a fire ball, it was traveling from West to East and as it traveled I saw 6 – 8 fireballs break off of it. I was driving and did not count them all.
At first I thought it was a flair, or maybe fireworks, so I didn’t pay too much attention too it, but than it did not drop or fade from the sky like I would have expected, and it started dropping off other fire balls, or so they appeared, at regular intervals. That is when I started paying attention.
Each of the fire balls released from the big one seemed to hover and than just disappear in a flash.
I know I counted 4 but there were more than I counted.
Then after dropping off these the main one just disappeared in a flash.
I tried to video tape it on my phone, but by the time I realized it was something to pay attention too, I was not fast enough.
I was concerned because there was just an explosion on the south side the Saturday before, so I was concerned about foul play.
I asked my friends and family but they didn’t see it and hear anything about it, so I started looking on line, after I got my work done.
I found your website and it showed a fireball over Indianapolis a couple of hours later so I thought maybe you know what it was.
What I saw looked similar to the video you showed, except there were a bunch of them.
Because there were no new explosions I assume it is unrelated to that, I hope.
If you can help me, or give me some idea what it was I would appreciate it.

The sisters told Fox59 they were driving in an unfamiliar area on their way to Brazil, Ind. when their GPS told them to turn on County Road 100 East, a gravel road.
Carbon, Ind–Two Indiana sisters claim they spotted what appeared to be a UFO in Carbon, Ind., while they were driving on a country road October 1.
The sisters told Fox59 they were driving in an unfamiliar area on their way to Brazil, Ind. when their GPS told them to turn on County Road 100 East, a gravel road. They said the area made them feel uneasy and the location was “creepy.”
According to one sister’s account to Fox59 and the Mutual UFO Network, a database to report sightings, flashing lights appeared in the distance. The other sister then pointed out bright lights just a few yards from the front of their vehicle, which were initially mistaken for reflectors.

Hello,My name is Xxxx Xxxxx. I witnessed something yesterday morning that I could not explain, and after my work day ended last evening, I decided to do a web search to see if anyone else might have posted anything on the internet about witnessing this event as well.[Unedited]

First, let me say that I have been an airplane / aviation aficionado since I was a boy of 10 years old. I am 39 presently. I can almost identify any aircraft past or present just by sight. I grew up in Xxxx, XX just North of Grissom AFB, and joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18. It surprised no one that I went into the Marine Air Wing, and spent my time in the Corps on multiple Marine Corps Air Stations or Naval Air Stations. I became an avionics electrician, and flew as an aircrew member aboard a KC-130 Hercules aircraft.
I would also like to say that I have always been interested in Astronomy, getting my first telescope also at the age of 10, and still own a very high tech model to this day. I took two years of astronomy in high school, and another year at the University of California, Irvine. I've also taken a workshop just a few short years ago at IUK as they have an outstanding telescope array for this particular area of Indiana.
I am very knowledgeable about FAA Regulations, and the strobe lights that all aircraft, military or otherwise, are required to have and operate while in flight. I have had friends and loved ones throughout the years see something in the night sky thinking it's a UFO, and I have easily dismissed this by pointing out to them the strobe lights, or aircraft flight patterns, either fixed wing, or that of a helicopter.
I have also pointed out to numerous people that the planet Venus is NOT a UFO, as it seems commonly mistaken to be since it appears to alternate colors due to the diffraction of light in Earth's atmosphere when the planet passes through certain apogees and angles. I am very well aware of the different planets' positions and constellation locations as they relate to the changing seasons and time of year. I often point these out to my four children, whom all have taken an interest in astronomy as well.
I am presently employed as a Xxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx xx Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxwhere I am working on my XXth year, being employed with Xxx Xxxxx xx Xxxxxxx. I do not drink, and have never taken any illegal drugs. I state this only as a precursor to say that what I witnessed yesterday morning between 0430 and 0500 on my way to work I am somehow at a loss to explain or to understand.
I live approximately eight miles due Xxxxx xx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. I typically leave for work in the early morning between approximately 0430-0440 as my report time is 0500. I was driving South on US 31, and as I was driving, I noticed two bright amber lights in the sky that appeared to be further South of Bunker Hill toward the Kokomo area. I was between Pipe Creek Elementary School, and County Road 500 when I first noticed these two bright lights.
At first glance, I dismissed them as aircraft, but then I noticed that they did not appear to be moving. I slowed my truck down to examine them better, and quickly noted that there were NO strobe lights on them whatsoever. I knew that there are no planets during the late spring / early summer in this particular position in the early morning sky, and thought that they were perhaps something else. I was amazed that their apparent magnitude was easily a 1 or a 2 on the brightness scale for celestial bodies. I knew that they were not stars, and as they were stationary and not moving, I knew they were not meteors or falling space debris either. I thought perhaps they were military flares, but there were NO aircraft anywhere near, and they appeared to come out of nowhere. I also noted that the GARB did not have any landing field lights on, nor were their tower lights in a circular pattern as they are when night operations are being conducted. There appeared to be no military activity at all, and no aircraft visible anywhere near the horizon or above where the lights suddenly appeared.
As I continued driving Southward, I noticed that two vehicles had pulled over to the shoulder and the occupants were out of their vehicles looking toward the lights as well. I was glad to see that I was not the only individual that noticed the strange, peculiar nature of what I was witnessing. They were bright, amber lights that appeared to come from nowhere, one being approximately 45 degrees Southeast of US 31 at an altitude of approximately 900 feet; The other appeared to be 30 degrees Southwest of US 31 at an altitude of approximately 1100 feet.
I witnessed these bright, glowing "orbs" in the sky for approximately 3-4 minutes, then the one to the left at the lower altitude suddenly vanished. Approximately five (5) seconds later, the higher one to the right vanished. I felt a knot in my stomach immediately upon seeing this, because I knew that I had just witnessed something that did not make sense with my understanding of aircraft, military and otherwise, and of astronomy. I was disturbed about it when I arrived at work, and asked several other staff members that I work with if they had seen anything strange in the sky just South toward Kokomo. As dismayed I was that no one stated they witnessed it, I did take solace in the fact that I saw at least two other persons along the side of the road that knew as I did; That they were seeing something very uncommon and unusual.
When I did an internet search last evening, I found multiple sightings of a similar consistency with that of what I witnessed yesterday morning (April 30, 2010). I cannot understand or make sense of what I saw. I was involved in Desert Storm, and had been involved in multiple combined arms exercises while serving as an aircrew member in The Marines. What I am quite certain of is that what I witnessed WAS NOT military aircraft flares. The lights appeared to come out of nowhere, and as quickly as they appeared, they disappeared. I knew after reading several of your postings that others have witnessed this same type of occurrence. I thought that I would share my experience as well full well knowing how unusual this event was.
