'Why Would Anyone Promote a Space Alien/Hybrid Fetus Hypothesis in the First Place?'

Sirius Poster
Five years ago this little dead thing was the star of Steven Greer’s crowd-funded documentary “Sirius.” Now, it’s giving him the momentum to promote a four-hour $85 per ticket conspiracy marathon in May. (Credit D. Tarr)

He’s doing it for America

Still recovering from how the mainstream media went bounding off last week for that bogus Buzz Aldrin-lie detector-space aliens nothin’burger. Yeah, they all went for it. The very same crowd that glommed onto last month’s exemplary reporting from defense-industry journalist Tyler Rogoway. Rogoway’s stuff went viral for using FOIA to acquire recorded exchanges among airline pilots, air traffic control, and the FAA as they tried to make sense of UFOs injecting themselves into crowded commercial corridors. But the corporate newsies, at

least in terms of numbers, made no distinction between FAA data and the Aldrin hoax. And I’m too bummed out to rehash the Buzz particulars here.

What’s most disappointing is, just when I was hoping the MSM might’ve turned the corner on discernment and proportion, this week’s snipe hunt comes on the heels of last week’s equally sensationalized non-news headlines about the deformed remnants of a miscarriage discharged into a Chilean desert a couple of hundred years ago. Wonder how many expectations were dashed by the announcement:
Nope, sorry folks, buzzkill, the unfortunate little specimen isn’t a space alien after all – just one of those curiosities that happens in vitro from time to time.
Why would anyone promote a space alien/hybrid fetus hypothesis in the first place? Well, not just anybody would. But Steven Greer, the Disclosure Project/“Ambassador to the Universe” guru, isn’t just anybody. In 2013, he featured the little dead bugger in a conspiracy documentary called “Sirius.” De Void took a peek at it back when the six-inch cadaver’s origins were still a mystery. Had this recent reality check – published in the journal “Genome Research” by genetic scientists at two California institutions – arrived without Greer banging the drum for ET DNA for the past five years, how many people would’ve paid attention?

Look, De Void is about to take a week’s worth of vacation, so I don’t feel like putting much thought into this blog today (obviously). And if there’s anything you want to sound off on between now and when I get back, let ‘er rip, OK, just don’t expect your posts to instantly pop up, on account of the ongoing spam avalanche that now requires me to approve each and every comment, which sucks. But I’m signing off with this latest disappointment for one reason: the media’s not-a-space-alien-baby-after-all lovefest has resuscitated the otherwise neglected and irrelevant Steven Greer. This week, his email teasers for coverage have been incessant. And you know what? Here’s the surprise: I’m finally beginning to come around. I’m beginning to think the man is onto some true clarity.

Clarity doesn’t come cheap. That’s why he’s forced to charge up to $6,000 for “Ambassador to the Universe” training seminars. And after watching his visionary video-link rebuttal of the “Genome Research” magazine article, I can only pray there’s not a Jack Ruby at the corner of the frame hoping to nip it in the bud.

According to Greer, the desiccated corpse, nicknamed Ata, for the Atacama Desert, where it was discovered, is “probably a PLF – a programmed life form” from Out There, the same place The Truth Is. But you’re dead wrong if you think this controversy is about a stinkin’ mini-corpse. Greer says “the future of the human race … is at stake here.” And he’s rightfully demanding to know who – who specifically, at the NY Times, the BBC, CNN, etc. – got co-opted to parrot the “outrageously wild, implausible conclusions” drawn by authors of the “Genome Research” piece.

Here’s the good news. Greer’s links show me how to obtain the unfettered truth. For $19.95, I can buy the DVD explainer “Unacknowledged: An Expose of the World’s Greatest Secret,” plus I get the accompanying book thrown in for free. For free. Or for $14.99, I can get a streaming version of “Unacknowledged: The Campaign That Ends Illegal UFO and Free Energy Secrecy.” Or for $155, I can buy an entire DVD catalogue of Greer’s clarity, “The Untold History of Disclosure.”

But yo, wait up, I haven’t even gotten to the good part yet:

Instead of shrinking from the “kleptocracy of the petro-fascists” who control the world, Greer is doubling down. On May 12, in Tempe, Arizona, the truth-teller the Deep State fears most will be getting revenge with a four-hour presentation that’s so long, it can barely be contained with mere words. It’s called, verbatim, “The Atacama Coverup: How Global Disclosure is being hijacked by the Intelligence Community AND Close-Encounters of the 5th Kind: The Ultimate Civil Disobedience Action.” Just $85 a ticket. Can’t make it in person? You’re covered. Just $35 for the webinar.

I know what you’re thinking: I’m only one person – what can one person possibly do to fight back? Here’s how: Demand an investigation into academic misconduct. Greer is dispensing phone and email contacts to Stanford University’s Office of General Counsel. Stanford researchers were among those who studied Ata. Also: Bombard the Cold Harbor Genome Laboratory Press with email complaints, too. Greer has that contact info as well. Let them know you’re onto their shenanigans and you won’t let them get away with it.

If the media doesn’t cover Greer’s presentation in Tempe, we’ll know they’ve been silenced by the petro-fascists.

Alleged Alien Remains Confirmed as Human – Research Protocols in Question

Atacama Alien Mummy

Making the Grade

A recently published paper on the infamous "Atacama humanoid" set off criticisms of poor ethical practices from qualified experts throughout the international professional research community. If you haven't heard by now, the tiny remains featured in a Steven Greer crowd-funded documentary are conclusively human. More at issue have been the research protocols - or lack thereof - observed by those who handled and dissected the six-inch mummified female body. Also of concern is the lack of attention given to such issues by the publishing journal, Genome Research.

Scientists quoted by The Atlantic say the researchers, which included Dr. Garry Nolan of Stanford and (for better or worse) To The Stars Academy, feel the mummified remains were obtained under extremely questionable circumstances. This, they say, makes any subsequent research unethical. The rationale of the researchers - and their facilities and funding entities - is called into question for failure to adhere to established protocols for working with human remains and verifying a proper chain of custody. What's more, so is Genome Research, for publishing the paper absent what scientists recognize as complete documentation.

In layman and UFO blogger terms, if somebody emerges with a corpse or a skull they call alien, a team of educated scientists is supposed to have a better idea of what to do than what apparently went down. I'm far from the first to notice things often go way outside the lines when ufology tries to swerve around real life, but such issues are pretty much why people with credentials and respected reputations often avoid the genre altogether.

There are a number of ideas about what may be taking place when educated and/or what should be competent people seem to suddenly forget how to present a point in a cohesive and documented manner. I'm not going to dive into why that may happen, as there are certainly several reasons, but ambiguity indeed often reigns when speculative UFO talk overlaps into reality. Perhaps most frustrating to those who long for fact-based info, many in the UFO community don't even care about chains of custody and such as long as UFOs get headlines.

To The Stars Academy

Meanwhile, the boys in the band over at TTSA have repeatedly made numerous claims about videos and implications about how they were obtained, yet, as of this writing, remain clouded in much more convoluted confusion than they've served up verifiable information. Several researchers, including this one, filed multiple FOIA requests on the much discussed Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, but are yet to obtain documents. Some requests were submitted to the Defense Intelligence Agency, identified as an overseer of the project.

Senator Harry Reid
Senator Harry Reid
Throwing gas on the fire, Sen. Harry Reid stated there are "hundreds and hundreds of papers" on the project, "80 percent, at least is public," and "the press has never even looked at it." Maybe he'd like to tell FOIA officers where to look, because they're yet to produce any of those hundreds of public papers.

To be clear, the AATIP was confirmed by the Pentagon to have existed. It is much less clear why Sen. Reid and those acting on behalf of TTSA have failed so miserably at presenting proper documentation of their claims, or why AATIP docs have not yet surfaced.

Luis Elizondo, a Pentagon-slash-TTSA name now familiar to those following the narrative, identified the Navy as a source of reports obtained by the AATIP. John Greenewald of The Black Vault made a social media post explaining he submitted an FOIA request to the Navy, specifically citing Elizondo's statement. The Navy responded it's got nothin'.

A lack of ability to present documentation of one's assertions does not bode well. Similarly, when a person's education and career path suggest they should fully well know how to present evidence and follow established norms of research protocols, yet fail to do so, conspiracies are often born because it can be difficult to think them incompetent. Whatever the reasons may be from one instance to the next for credentialed people entering the UFO fray yet failing to present work up to professional standards, it should neither be overlooked nor rationalized. They, of all people, should be making the grade.

The Atacama Alien Mummy
DNA analysis done on unusual remains found in Chile proved the girl was human, but there has been an uproar over whether the body was acquired ethically.
Before the media frenzy, before the documentary about aliens, before her bone fragments were ground up for DNA analysis, she was a girl.
By Sarah Zhang
The Atlantic

She was tiny when she died. Six inches. Perhaps she was stillborn or died very young. Her body was reportedly found wrapped in cloth with a purple ribbon and buried—with intentionality, it would seem—near a church in La Noria, an abandoned town in the Atacama desert in northern Chile.

As for everything else, well, it went like this. In 2003, a local man who regularly scavenged La Noria for historical trinkets found her body. He noted the unusual conical shape of her head. Almost immediately, photos of her began to circulate, and ufologists eager for evidence of aliens came calling. A businessman bought her body and brought it to Spain. She featured prominently, as the “Atacama humanoid,” in a documentary called Sirius, which alleges, among other things, contact between aliens and ancient civilizations. On screen, the filmmakers are shown cutting her skull open, and removing a rib fragment for DNA analysis.

Metallic orb could have been sent by aliens, suggests scientist

By Alejandro Rojas

Scientists have found a tiny metal orb they believe is extraterrestrial in origin, has evidence of life on its exterior, and also has “a gooey biological material oozing” out of it. The lead scientist of the team who discovered the object suggests that it may have been sent by an intelligent extraterrestrial civilization for the purpose of seeding life on Earth.

This revelation comes from the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology at the University of Buckingham and the University of Sheffield in England. The director of the center, Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe, is one of the leading proponents of a theory called panspermia.

Panspermia is the idea that life in space is abundant, and that biological material travels from planet to planet. For example, it may be ejected from a planet via a meteor strike, or volcanic explosion, and then many years later falls onto a barren planet seeding life. An even more controversial version of this theory is called “directed panspermia,” which is the purposeful seeding of life on other planets by an intelligent extraterrestrial civilization.

The findings by the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology in this area have been highly controversial. They claim to have several examples of microbial life from extraterrestrial sources. Their latest claim is regarding samples they received from a balloon they launched into the stratosphere. They gathered samples of material floating around up there. It is believed that the stratosphere is too high for microbes from Earth to reach, so any they find must be extraterrestrial. . . .

The never-before seen image shows a microscopic metal globe spewing out biological material feared to be an infectious agent.

Though the origin or purpose of the mysterious sphere is uncertain, experts say it could contain genetic material - the precursor to life.

They sensationally claim it could have been designed by an intelligent species to “seed” and propagate alien life on Earth.

It is the first time anything like this has been seen and points not only to the existence of extra-terrestrial life, but to complex and civilised beings watching our planet.

It follows findings that DNA capable of inserting itself into living creatures and replicating can exist in harsh space conditions.

A tiny ‘plasmid’, a circular strand of DNA used in genetic engineering, was sent into space from Sweden in 2011 on the exterior of a TEXUS-49 rocket. . . .

Discovery of ‘Alien’ DNA Hailed by Scientists

By rt.com

American scientists have for the first time ever made it possible for an organism to survive with artificial DNA, making it more likely new medicines can be developed, while raising ethical concerns among some advocates.

For researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California the breakthrough, published Wednesday in the Nature science journal, was 15 years in the making.

The announcement is so remarkable because, for billions of years, all life has been made up of DNA subunits categorized by four letters: A, T, C and G. Scientists have now added two new DNA building blocks to E. coli bugs, which then reproduced as normal with the two extra letters in their genetic code.

The research could eventually lead to the production of completely new proteins that could be used either for medicinal purposes or industrial products. It also lends credibility to the theory that life in outer space could exist entirely without the DNA found on Earth.
“What we have now is a living cell that literally stores increased genetic information,” said Floyd Romesberg, the Scripps chemical biologist who led the study. “This shows that other solutions to storing information are possible and of course, takes us closer to an expanded-DNA biology that will have many exciting applications – from new medicines to new kinds of nanotechnology.” . . .

Ancient DNA Raises New Questions About First Americans

The DNA gleaned from two ancient Siberian skeletons is related to that of modern-day Native Americans and western Eurasians, new research suggests.

The genetic material from the ancient Siberians provides additional evidence that the ancestors of Native Americans made the arduous trek from Siberia across the Bering Strait into the Americas.

But it also reveals there were multiple waves of migrations in Asia around this time, said Mark Hubbe, a biological anthropologist at The Ohio State University who was not involved in the study.

"This brings a new level of complexity to what we think happened in Asia," Hubbe told LiveScience. . . .

Ancient migrations

Several genetic clues indicate that Native Americans came from a population that once inhabited Siberia and crossed the Bering Strait between 20,000 and 15,000 years ago.

The official World Premiere of the movie Sirius, directed by the Emmy-award winning Amardeep Kaleka and based upon the claims of UFO celebrity Steven Greer, takes place on April 22. Produced by J.D Seraphine and narrated by actor Thomas Jane (HBO series Hung), Sirius "will have its contributor, VIP & celebrity premiere on April 22 in Hollywood, CA. The movie premiere will be followed by a limited theatrical release and concurrent VOD launch via the Yekra video on demand platform on SiriusDisclosure.com." As for the premiere itself,
When: Monday, April 22nd at 7:30 pm (PST)
Where: Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 in the Premiere House Theater
1000 West Olympic Blvd. Los Angeles 90015
Thank you all for your enthusiastic response to the "Sirius" premiere. We have sold out of the main theater, but have another theater in the same complex. You can still be a part of the Red Carpet excitement and the Sirius Premiere. Tickets for theater B now available for only $15.
. . . The movie now promises "the paradigm shifting physical evidence of a medically and scientifically analyzed DNA sequenced humanoid creature of unknown classification found in the Atacama desert, Chile." Remarkable, if true. It will be fascinating to learn how DNA sequences that allegedly evolved on an alien planet compare with our own. 'Informed sources' are saying that Greer's dead E.T. is actually an immature spider monkey. I cannot confirm that, however it sounds a lot more likely than a dead E.T. Recently Greer said that he now has a friendly 'alien familiar' name Bijoux, who has been following him around. I hope that Greer didn't accidentally run over Bijou in his truck? . . .

Is An Alien Message Embedded In Our Genetic Code?

Alien Message Embedded In Our Genetic Code?

By Ray Villard
news.discovery.com
4-1-13

The answer to whether or not we are alone in the universe could be right under our nose, or, more literally, inside every cell in our body.

Could our genes have an intelligently designed “manufacturer’s stamp” inside them, written eons ago elsewhere in our galaxy? Such a “designer label” would be an indelible stamp of a master extraterrestrial civilization that preceded us by many millions or billions of years. As their ultimate legacy, they recast the Milky Way in their own biological image.

Vladimir I. shCherbak of al-Farabi Kazakh National University of Kazakhstan, and Maxim A. Makukov of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute, hypothesize that an intelligent signal embedded in our genetic code would be a mathematical and semantic message that cannot be accounted for by Darwinian evolution. They call it “biological SETI.” What’s more, they argue that the scheme has much greater longevity and chance of detecting E.T. than a transient extraterrestrial radio transmission.

Writing in the journal Icarus, they assert: “Once fixed, the code might stay unchanged over cosmological timescales; in fact, it is the most durable construct known. Therefore it represents an exceptionally reliable storage for an intelligent signature. Once the genome is appropriately rewritten the new code with a signature will stay frozen in the cell and its progeny, which might then be delivered through space and time.” . . .

NRC Suggests NASA Should Look for "Weird Alien Life"

Helix
Dust ‘comes alive’ in space

By Robert Booth
The Sunday Times
8-12-07

SCIENTISTS have discovered that inorganic material can take on the characteristics of living organisms in space, a development that could transform views of alien life.

An international panel from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Max Planck institute in Germany and the University of Sydney found that galactic dust could form spontaneously into helixes and double helixes and that the inorganic creations had memory and the power to reproduce themselves.

A similar rethinking of prospective alien life is being undertaken by the National Research Council, an advisory body to the US government. It says Nasa should start a search for what it describes as “weird life” - organisms that lack DNA or other molecules found in life on Earth.

The new research, to be published this week in the New Journal of Physics, found nonorganic dust, when held in the form of plasma in zero gravity, formed the helical structures found in DNA. The particles are held together by electromagnetic forces that the scientists say could contain a code comparable to the genetic information held in organic matter. It appeared that this code could be transferred to the next generation.

Professor Greg Morfill, of the Max Planck institute of extra-terrestrial physics, said: “Going by our current narrow definitions of what life is, it qualifies.

“The question now is to see if it can evolve to become intelligent. It’s a little bit like science fiction at the moment. The potential level of complexity we are looking at is of an amoeba or a plant.

“I do not believe that the systems we are talking about are life as we know it. We need to define the criteria for what we think of as life much more clearly.”

It may be that science is starting to study territory already explored by science fiction. The television series The X-Files, for example, has featured life in the form of a silicon-based parasitic spore.

The Max Planck experiments were conducted in zero gravity conditions in Germany and on the International Space Station 200 miles above earth.

The findings have provoked speculation that the helix could be a common structure that underpins all life, organic and nonorganic.
