Fmr President Obama Re UFOs - 'We Don't Know Exactly What they Are'

Barack Obama on James Corden Show, 05-17-21

When asked about UFOs: “What is true, and I’m actually being serious here, is that there are…there’s footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are. We can’t explain how they moved their trajectory.

They did not have an easily explainable pattern, and so I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is. But I have nothing to report to you today!”

President Barack Obama has his eyes on the stars -- or more accurately -- a planet.

In an op-ed published Tuesday on CNN, Obama set a "clear goal" to send humans to Mars by the 2030s and to have them return to Earth

safely, "with the ultimate ambition to one day remain there for an extended time."

"Someday, I hope to hoist my own grandchildren onto my shoulders. We'll still look to the stars in wonder, as humans have since the beginning of time," Obama wrote. "But instead of eagerly awaiting the return of our intrepid explorers, we'll know that because of the choices we make now, they've gone to space not just to visit, but to stay -- and in doing so, to make our lives better here on Earth."

Achieving the goal, Obama added, will "require continued cooperation between government and private innovators" -- a collaboration that will begin in the coming years when companies send astronauts to the International Space Station. ...

Obama Will Be The UFO ‘Disclosure President’

Stephen Bassett On The Alan Colmes Show
Thursday on “The Alan Colmes Show,” Alan spoke with Washington’s only registered UFO lobbyist, Stephen Bassett, about what the government knows about discovering extraterrestrial life in the universe and if the public will ever truly be informed about it.

Bassett told Alan that the government has known about UFOs and their contact with humans for decades, including U.S. presidents who wanted to do further research. Bassett also said that it will be Barack Obama who will make history by being the first president to fully disclose what the government knows and explained why the media has been part of a coverup.

No 'Direct Contact With Aliens Yet', says Obama To Six-Year-Old | VIDEO

BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama answered a 6-year-old's hard-hitting question at an Ellen taping: "We haven't actually made direct contact with aliens yet."

Obama was questioned during Thursday night's taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show by 6-year-old "presidential expert" Macey Hensley, and she asked the president about the legendary "Book of Secrets."

. . . Facebook statuses show Delonge meeting with NASA officials, as well as possibly the President, for what he describes as “An important film on something about space.” Delonge’s interest in space dates back many years, in particular with the well-known song, “Aliens Exist,” which includes the lyrics: “I know the CIA will say/what you hear is all hearsay/I wish someone would tell me what was right.”

In the first status update, Delonge discusses his coming trip to DC where he will film for his new production on space. . . .

“…A Failure To Bring Transparency To America’s UFO Files”

“…A Failure To Bring Transparency To America’s UFO Files”

Twick or Tweet!

By Billy Cox

By now, everybody’s read John Podesta’s little Friday afternoon firecracker, where he took less than 140 characters to announce his biggest regret in leaving the Obama White house was a failure to bring transparency to America’s UFO files. Brevity being the soul of wit and all that, one naturally assumes there was a little sarcasm or self-deprecation at play here, despite the former Clinton White House chief of staff’s multiple (and correct) assertions that UFOs are actually pretty serious stuff. After all, if you look at his statements on UFOs over the years, they really don’t amount to much more than an anthology of sound bites. Consequently, the media responded with equal proportion, duly noting Podesta’s Tweet with minimal comment, the way one might take stock of any harmless celebrity idiosyncrasy, like Jay Leno's fleet cars or XYZ's Coconut Monkeys of Polynesia collection.

One might even be tempted to give Podesta props for putting it out there again, considering how he wasn't obliged to say anything at all. But after reading Sunday’s New York Times profile, Friday’s Twitter breadcrumbs come off as quite puzzling. Associates describe Podesta as a competitive, workaholic straight-shooter who enjoys a good scrap. “He’s not afraid to use power, and ruthlessly if necessary,” said veteran Dem operative Paul Begalia. “I think he’s as good a political guy as I’ve ever seen.”

Great. So that begs the question: What, exactly, specifically, if anything, did Podesta do over the last two years to warrant that surprise Tweet last weekend? Can’t blame the media for being so spare on this one — he gave us nothing to work with, no hint that he’d used that famous competitive streak to butt heads with whatever behind-the-scenes UFO classification obstacles he might have encountered. Assuming he made an effort. So what gives?

Now, juxtapose Podesta’s little nugget against what passed for news (again) last week at the convention of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in San Jose, Calif. The SETI people were at it again, weighing the risks of sending formal collaborative radio messages to their theoretical kindred spirits in radio astronomy in distant worlds. Godawmighty, how many times must we endure this trifling academic hand-wringing over the perils of provoking some ET Pizarro or Cortez from Planet Zyrtek? Our radio signals have been alerting The Other to our presence for almost a century now, yet suddenly we're seeing luminaries like billionaire Elon Musk and planet detective Geoff Marcy circulating petitions calling for a ban on sending messages into space? Really? Check this out -- astrophysicist David Brin actually said this to the Associated Press: “I can’t bring myself to wager my grandchildren’s destiny on unreliable assumptions” about contacting nice space aliens.

Oh for cryin' out loud. Wouldn’t you think, given this level of obstreperous angst, and with the potential for ET enemies (5,000 extrasolar planets either logged or awaiting confirmation) increasing by the month, it would be totally irresponsible for these guardians of the realm not to exhaust each and every line of scientific inquiry on the gathering threat? Well, um, no. Here’s the key sentence in the AP report from San Jose: “... what scientists are talking about is a coordinated and sustained million-dollar-a-year effort with approval from some kind of science or international body and a message that people agree on" [emphasis: De Void]. Naah, UFOs don’t rate that kind of funding, man. At least not unless somebody of, say, John Podesta’s heft steps up, quits flirting around the elephant in the room, and makes the case. But that’s not likely, given his apparent commitment to Hillary’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Until that day comes, looks like we’re doomed to endure endless SETI seminars on how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

At least we got a Tweet. And we're grateful for that.

One Tweet that slipped under the radar last week may turn out to be vastly more important than anything else seemingly rocking our world — from the growing threat of ISIS to the fading star of Brian Williams or even the cultural shock effect of the 50 Shades of Grey movie. When all those were making news headlines, this Tweet came from outgoing senior Obama adviser John Podesta. Here it is:

f you'll visit @Podesta44 on Twitter, you'll see that John Podesta put this on a list with his favorite moments and biggest regrets from his White House stint over the past year that ended for him on Friday.

That's right — on Podesta's Top Ten list — the number one position goes to "Finally, my biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files." . . .

Obama Counselor's 'UFO Admission' Tweet Going Viral

Biggest Failure’ Was Not Securing The Disclosure of UFO Files

By Al Kamen

Outgoing Obama counselor John Podesta remains a devoted fan of things extraterrestrial. When Podesta, who was President Bill Clinton’s chief of staff, returned to White House duty in late 2013, we wrote that his arrival meant “the Obama presidential library will be inundated — just as the Clinton library in Little Rock has been — with Freedom of Information Act requests, such as this one: for ‘e-mails to and from John Podesta, containing the words either, X-Files or Area 51.’”

Podesta was a major fan of the “X-Files” television show. Our colleague Karen Tumulty asked him in 2007 about the FOIA jam at the library, and Podesta, through a spokesman, replied: “The truth is out there.” That’s the show’s tag line.

And, just to make sure the FOIA requesters don’t forget, Podesta tweeted Thursday:

John Podesta’s biggest regret on leaving the White House is not proving Fox Mulder right.

“My biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files,” he tweeted on Friday, his final day as counselor to President Obama.

He added the hashtag “#thetruthisoutthere,” in a reference to the long-running television show “The X-Files.”

Podesta is leaving the White House on Friday after one year helping to oversee climate change and energy policy, among other issues, and is seen as a likely choice to lead Hillary Clinton’s expected presidential campaign. He formerly worked as chief of staff to President Bill Clinton before starting the liberal Center for American Progress think tank. . . .

'...The U.S. Air Force Managed To Slither Out of UFO Research...'

'...The U.S. Air Force Managed To Slither Out of UFO Research...'

And to all a good night

By Billy Cox
De Void

Forty-five years ago this month — as everybody here knows — the U.S. Air Force managed to slither out of UFO research by shutting down Project Blue Book. It did so by hiring the University of Colorado to make its UFO stuff go away, and UC project director Edward Condon was the man who could deliver the goods. Less than a year into his panel's review, Condon declared the subject was “nonsense,” and added, “but I’m not supposed to reach that conclusion for another year.” The USAF got its $313,000 worth when Condon officially announced UFOs were a massive waste of time and beneath the dignity of serious scientists.

But he couldn’t just stop there. In the condescending “Conclusions and Recommendations” portion of the report, Condon actually made a play at equanimity: “We think that all of the agencies of the federal government, and the private foundations as well, ought to be willing to consider UFO research proposals along with the others submitted to them on an opend-minded, unprejudiced basis. While we do not think at present that anything worthwhile is likely to come of such research, each individual case ought to be carefully considered on its own merits.”

Yeah right. Nearly half a century later, anyone who thinks Condon’s poisoned wellwater is safe for mainstream science to drink should check in with British chemist Erol Faruk about how easily institutional thinking accepts dissenting opinion on The Great Taboo today. And yet, this time of year, maybe it’s the egg nog, De Void gets a little sentimental about the prospects for alternative scenarios. Especially after watching Obama shake up the moribund status quo on Cuba last week.

Here’s why the time is now: Despite giving Capitol Hill an 11 percent approval rating, Americans last month not only ratified the most impotent and unpopular legislative body since Harry Truman, they gave it a mandate to do even less as Obama completes the final years of his lame-duck term. Having nothing to lose can be tremendously liberating — witness the president’s gambit on Cuba. To the extent that he can navigate around Congress, the next two years could be the most productive of Obama’s presidency. He could start with another no-brainer, like ending Dick Nixon’s war on weed with a stroke of the pen.

Anyhow, with the 2016 horse race right around the corner — and you may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one — how difficult is it to imagine Hillary’s opposition dogging her with every datapoint at its disposal? You wouldn't even need the Beltway crowd to attack her “little green man constituency”; Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, et al, could get that ball rolling easily enough. Or maybe, in an even more perfect world, they’d skip Hillary altogether and lob little green man tomatoes directly at one of Obama’s key insiders. And then, in a surprise flanking maneuver, emboldened by the Cuba momentum, No. 44 takes the mike at a press conference and delivers a what-the-hell:

“You know, folks, it’s been half a century since we took a serious look at UFOs. And given the revolution in digital technology, and given longstanding public interest in the subject, and after extensive discussions with senior White House counsel John Podesta, I’ve decided to take the late great Dr. Condon up on his word by setting up an exploratory panel, for less than one-twelfth the cost of a single Reaper drone, to --”

It’s Christmas, man. 'Tis the season to be jolly.

'President Obama, Open Up Roswell & Area 51,' Requests Minister Louis Farrakhan

In a series of lectures entitled, “The Time and What Must Be Done,” with sub-themes encompassing everything from Edward Snowden to The Illuminati, Minister Louis Farrakhan presented his finale, The Shadow Government: Guidance to Pres. Obama & the Nation (Part 58 - see below) and pointedly asked President Obama to "Open Up Roswell and Area 51!"

He in part stated:
President Obama: Let’s open up Roswell! Summon the scientists from all over the world to America under your auspices, and you go with them—along with presidents Carter, Clinton, and with President Bush “41” and Bush “43,” and look at what Allah sent to you, and study it! . . .

. . . President Barack Obama: Call the scientists! Open up “Area 51” to the scientists of the world! Because you, America, are the leader that Allah (God) has raised; and made you powerful, that He might make Himself known through you! And if America calls the scientists of the Earth to such place, they will respond.

What will be the reason for the call? The reason is to show them a sign of The Presence of God; to right the wrongs of the Earth, and to heal it. If President Obama even attempts to do this, The Shadow Government will be in trouble; because they, too, will be forced to have to bow to this! The scientists all over the Earth will know, especially through the clarity of our voice and what they see, that “God is Present”—and that we, whom they have destroyed, would not have this knowledge if it did not come from The Highest of Sources!

He later cites the article written by Lee Speigel, "New Obama Advisor John Podesta An Advocate For UFO Disclosure" and states:
President Obama, open up Roswell/“Area 51” and summon the scientists from all over the world, since you have John Podesta by your side, and you have the friendship of Bill and Hillary Clinton who were taught of these UFOs by Laurance Rockefeller: Since you have an army of those inside America, and outside, that have seen these things—and will join with you if there’s great opposition against you from “The Satanic Mind.”

The presentation was published on the 15th (Feb.15, 2014); no word yet if the President is aware of Farrakhan's requests; however, it's a safe bet there won't be a response . . . although it would be interesting if someone in the White House Press Corps posited the question. . . .

Will Obama's new advisor persuade him to release UFO files?

By voiceofrussia.com

News of John Podesta's appointment as counselor to US President Barack Obama has triggered speculation that some of the top secret UFO files may be released soon.

Podesta, 64, was a White House chief of staff under Bill Clinton and has been Obama's outside advisor since the 2008 presidential election. He also advised former Secretary-of-State Hillary Clinton during her last year in office.

Podesta is the founder and chair of the Center for Equitable Growth Center think-tank created this fall and chair of the Center for American Progress he founded a decade ago.

He will now formally join the White House inner circle for a year as Obama struggles to salvage his unexpectedly difficult second term. Apart from climate change and executive issues, Podesta will also handle Obama's troubled healthcare program.

There is one further fact you might not know about him. Podesta repeatedly urged the US government to declassify at least some 25 year old UFO files which could give scientists a clue as to the real nature of a few unexplained airborne signtings. In 2010, he wrote a foreword to Leslie Kean's "UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record." . . .

For all of you who hope the U.S. government will lift the veil on its alleged stockpile of evidence that Earth is being visited by extraterrestrials -- take heart.

This week, former Clinton chief of staff and UFO advocate John Podesta was named as President Obama's newest advisor.

Podesta, 64, has more than once publicly urged the U.S. government to release any UFO files that could help scientists determine "the real nature of this phenomenon."

Podesta's stance on UFOs can be seen in the following video clip from the 2009 James Fox film, I Know What I Saw. Podesta spoke at a 2002 news conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., where he called upon the U.S. government "to declassify [UFO] records that are more than 25 years old."

"Now, when you first become president, one of the questions that people ask you is: 'What's really going on in Area 51? ' When I wanted to know, I'd call Shirley MacLaine," he said to laughter. "I think I just became the first President to ever publicly mention Area 51. How's that, Shirley?"–FW

Administration Confirms NASA Plan: Grab an Asteroid, then Focus on Mars

NASA's accelerated vision for exploration calls for moving a near-Earth asteroid even nearer to Earth, sending out astronauts to bring back samples within a decade, and then shifting the focus to Mars, a senior Obama administration official told NBC News on Saturday.

The official said the mission would "accomplish the president's challenge of sending humans to visit an asteroid by 2025 in a more cost-effective and potentially quicker time frame than under other scenarios." The official spoke on condition of anonymity because there was no authorization to discuss the plan publicly.

The source said more than $100 million would be sought for the mission and other asteroid-related activities in its budget request for the coming fiscal year, which is due to be sent to Congress on Wednesday. That confirms comments made on Friday by Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., a one-time spaceflier who is now chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Science and Space. It also confirms a report about the mission that appeared last month in Aviation Week. . . .
