The Errol Bruce-Knapp Phenomena
Strange Days Indeed!

As it is with UFOs, Errol Bruce-Knapp is an ongoing phenomena unto himself, and believe me—we’re much better off for it!

For those not in the know Errol is a veteran of broadcast media, and those erudite in Canadian AM Newstalk Radio are no doubt aware of his last roost at Newstalk 1010 CFRB in Toronto, with his program entitled, Strange Days Indeed,” having aired on Saturday's, at 9:00 - 12:00 pm.

Sadly that broadcast came to an end recently, much to the chagrin of his regular listeners; however, just like the ever-elusive UFO, Errol keeps coming back!

Barely, skipping a beat, Errol has reinvented himself via a Podcast and for those who require their Strange Days fix, it can now be accessed 24/7!

His most recent podcast features dialogue with mainstream journalist, as well as friend to Ufology, Billy Cox, along with regulars, Dave Furlotte and wordsmith, Alfred Lehmberg.

I found the interview with Cox most fascinating, and although he would undoubtedly deny it, he (Cox) is a Ufologist in his own right.

Cox offers his views on the mainstream media’s, what I call the “wide-berth effect,” as well as how he is able to write UFO pieces (for the Herald Tribune) from time to time. Additionally, current UFO matters were covered e.g., Kucinich’s recent comments, and the UFO Conference at the “National Press Club” etc.

Although Cox was Errol’s most recent interview, many familiar voices have stopped by to talk UFOs; of late, Leslie Kean, UFO icon, Dick Hall (a regular), fellow Canadian, Don Ledger, Stuart Miller, Frank Feschino, Wendy Connors (another regular) to name few.

Errol’s laid back style as well as his upbeat personality puts his guests at ease, and casts an aura that one might find in talking to one’s favorite uncle. That said, given his knowledge of Ufology, he also knows what questions to ask, which elicits some very stimulating privities, and captivating colloquies.

Errol’s widespread erudition of the UFO phenomenon stems in part because he is the architect and repository for the UFO Updates mailing list, which is one of the greatest, if not the greatest asset a Ufologist could hope for via the Internet!

Ufology’s elite, as well as its abecedarians have been drawn together as a result of Errol’s efforts for the past 11 years.

Access to the archives is a must for any researcher, novice and or seasoned veteran alike; not only does one discover the collected input from the best in the business, one will also find accounts of practically every UFO event of the last 11 years, as they happened, as well as discussion about major events in UFO history.

Against the advice of many, the wealth of information, as well as the untold hours of Errol’s time & labor were bestowed upon the public without compensation for over a decade; his toils were given freely, and his expenses absorbed without complaint; however, in these increasingly difficult pecuniary times to ensure that this great benefaction continues a small pittance in the form of a subscription is in place to help off-set some of the operating costs.

For readers and truth-seekers alike with a keen interest in Ufology, and those who prefer to “hear it from the horse’s mouth" as events happen, a subscription is a worthwhile investment (to say the least); for researchers, investigators and or journalists, the UFO Updates Mailing List, along with the SDI Podcast is a must have tool in the inventory!

Steve Levy Backs Up Aaron Rodgers’ UFO Story

Steve Levy Backs Up Aaron Rodgers’ UFO Story

Steve Levy played football at Cal with Aaron Rodgers. He also saw the same UFO Rodgers saw.

Levy says he, his brother and Rodgers witnessed the event following dinner with his family in Cornwall, New York. He says the trio heard a siren-like noise and went outside to see what it was.

“We went out to the back and there’s a huge tree line over the top of my parents’ property and we saw something,” Levy explained. “We were like, ‘What the hell is that?’ We saw the reddish, orange, yellowish light that kept going side by side. It was quite large. And then it just disappeared.” [...]

Famed QB Aaron Rodgers Reveals UFO Encounter

Aaron Rodgers

[...] he recently was a guest on “You Made It Weird,” the popular podcast of comedian and actor Pete Holmes, and opened up about a number of things over the course of the two-hour conversation.

The rare long-form discussion grants listeners a look at Rodgers’ inner workings, ranging from his views on religion, his love for vegan burgers, what goes through his mind during games, and more. A highlight of the altogether interesting interaction comes early on, when Rodgers recounts seeing what he refers to as “a UFO” with Cal teammate Steve Levy in New Jersey in 2005.
“It was a large orange, left-to-right-moving object. Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn’t make out—it was kind of behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large, moving from left to right. It was me, Steve [Levy], and his brother that saw it. And it goes out of sight and we look at each other and go ‘What in the f#%k was that?'”

UFO Brain Food: Get Your Slice at The Paracast

Paracast Brain Food

Regular listeners of The Paracast, hosted by Gene Steinberg and David Biedny, know they have gone in different directions in regards to not only the subject matter of show, (under the umbrella of the paranormal), but also by the means of how they tackle the respective topic with the particular guest(s) of the day; there have been “light-hearted” episodes, almost comedic in nature; there have been “critical” episodes, some suggesting that the hosts, (ok maybe just David) have stepped over the line; there has been what might be called a “constabulary” and or a “gotcha” show, where a small time crook was exposed, but what has been consistent, is the thought provoking discourse with some very interesting, intelligent, renown individuals!

This week’s episode does not disappointment! Listeners need to put on their thinking caps, and grab a slice of brain-food. Writer, author, publisher, radio host and Ufologist (if I may), Greg Bishop joins Gene and David for the full two hours.

Quite frankly, radio/podcast shows that stimulate the cerebrum are far and in-between; however, the Paracast hits the mark more often then not, and the caliber of this episode is in that realm.

The dialogue takes the listener beyond pervasive thinking, and offers up alternative or out of the box denouements; perhaps more importantly (and not to sound to clichĂ©) the consensus is to expand your consciousness—agree . . . disagree, but ponder the alternative!

One thing about grabbing a slice of this brand of brain-food is you keep coming back for more . . ..

THE JOINER REPORT
Ahhh—Texas Tea . . . More Please!

The Joiner Report
By Frank Warren

Living in the San Francisco Bay Area as a young lad, I was very fortunate to have been befriended by some Texas natives; through that association (and now life long friendship), I was introduced to “Texas Tea,” a very sweet, cool, savory beverage that I swear can save your life on a hot, sultry summer day.

Years later I would live in the grand state of Texas, and what was once a “special treat” on occasion, I came to learn was a “staple” amongst the populace—consuming this wondrous beverage, it seems was a stipulation in the Texas State Constitution (not really), which brings us to the theme of this piece: The Joiner Report.

Our regular readers are of course most familiar with Angelia Joiner, the former (mainstream) reporter of the Empire Tribune, located in what was then the sleepy little town of Stephenville, Texas.

The Empire Tribune
Angelia was thrust onto the “UFO scene” by circumstance, in that she “covered” the extraordinary UFO events that took place in Stephenville in January of last year; accordingly she was credited with “breaking” the story to the world!

Although Angelia did not see the craft herself, not unlike direct eyewitnesses of major UFO events, by her own admission she states, "Ufology has turned my life upside down. Never thought I'd be here."

Angelia quickly found herself being bombarded by the larger components of the mainstream media, the networks and cable news channels, in a sense becoming a voice for many of the witnesses, eventually ending up on the Larry King Show.

From there she became the toast of Ufology so to speak, and made the rounds at several of the UFO conferences.

Somewhere in between all of that the Tribune felt her services were no longer needed; the consensus by most was that this was a foolish move on their part, and reflected negatively on management.

Having been smitten with the UFO bug, Angelia has kept her “reporter’s nose” pointing upward, ever mindful of UFO incidents, particularly in or around Stephenville and or the great state of Texas. This diligence would produce additional reports on UFO activity in the a fore mentioned localities.

The events that took place in Stephenville, along with the experiences from reporting the story and becoming enveloped by Ufology has recently culminated in a radio/podcast show fittingly entitled, The Joiner Report.

Miles O'BrienThe premiere episode aired last Friday night (the 15th), and Angelia’s first guest was no other then the long time news anchor for CNN, “Miles O’Brien!”

In a quick Q & A for this piece I asked her why she chose Miles, and she replied:

"I like Miles and received questions and such about his departure from CNN. Many wanted to make a big deal about his leaving had to do with the UFO coverage he did in November. As he said, ‘It was more about greenbacks than greys.’ So I wanted to get word out about his feelings on that.

Also, he's a great guest that is normally not heard from in the UFO realm; so I thought listeners would like that.

Thanks to you for finding all those emails and one that worked!"
[I provided O’Brien’s e-mail address]

Billy CoxLast night’s episode featured mainstream reporter “Billy Cox” who is one of the few on that side of the desk who has the guts to engage in the UFO topic! Although I was unable to listen to last night’s show, I look forward to taking it in when posted in the archives (hopefully today) at Angelia’s site: www.angeliajoiner.com

Just like “Texas tea,” The Joiner Report is down-home and most refreshing; it tantalizes the intellectual taste buds and should be a staple to your Ufological digest.

Next week’s guest will be documentary film-maker James Fox.
