Release of Further UFO / UAP Videos DENIED; Navy Cites 'Harm to National Security'

Release of Further UFO / UAP Videos DENIED; Navy Cites 'Harm to National Security'

After a nearly two and a half year effort, The Black Vault was denied under FOIA to get videos declassified depicting Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) citing a harm to national security, if released.
Since December of 2017, two videos that surfaced of alleged Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) sightings captivated the world. Months later, a third was released that only increased public interest into the topic, but also strengthened their voice for transparency about the mysterious phenomena.

Even though the military said they were not cleared for public dissemination and considered leaked, the Navy later would officially release copies of the same in April of 2020 to satisfy public curiosity and calls for transparency. But, how many other videos were there?

Effects of UFO Sightings on National Security

Effects of UFO Sightings on National Security

Future Security Forum event explores the history and context of how US, military have handled UFO reports
Until a few years ago, UFOs were traditionally treated as something far-fetched and relegated to the fringes. Any talk of them was usually linked to questions about ancient aliens, abductions, or who made the pyramids and crop circles.

By ASU News

However, in the past few years, segments about UFOs have aired on primetime news and flying saucers have appeared in front-page stories published by The New York Times. So, what happened in the last few years to bring these kinds of stories back to mainstream national attention?

Senator Marco Rubio Concerned About UFOs Near Military Bases

TMZ entertainment news site reported that they confronted Senator Marco Rubio Monday at Reagan National Airport and asked him about UFOs and aliens. It further reported that the question was posited in a light-hearted manner; however,

Rubio’s answer was anything but. He became very sober and expressed his concern about the “potential danger the U.S. faces from unidentified aircraft [UFOs] flying over our military installations.”

UFOs Are a Threat To National Security, Says Senator, Marco Rubio

In a recent interview, published yesterday by CBS4's reporter, Jim DeFede in Florida, Senator Marco Rubio spoke freely about UFOs/UAP and their incursions over military bases, training areas and the obvious threat to national security.

In a response to the question, "are we alone" by DeFede, Rubio stated:
Here’s the interesting thing for me about all this. And the reason why I think it’s an important topic, okay. And that is we have things flying over our military bases and places where we’re conducting military exercises, and we don’t know what it is, and it isn’t ours. So that’s the legitimate question to ask. I would say that, frankly, that if it’s something outside from outside this planet, that might actually be better than the fact that we’ve seen some technological leap on behalf of the Chinese or the Russians or some other adversary that allows them to conduct this sort of activity. But the bottom line is, there are things flying over your military bases, and you don’t know what they are, because they’re not yours. And they exhibit potentially technologies that you don’t have at your own disposal. That to me is a national security risk and one that we should be looking into. And so that’s the premise I begin with.

Are UFOs a Threat?

Are UFOs a Threat?

A Moment in History or The More Things Change the More They Remain the Same

Various parties are now implying that there may be a threat from UFOs. History shows that in the late 1950s and early 1960s a threat from or about UFOs was addressed in an attempt to obtain Congressional hearing by the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP)

Note that the NICAP Confidential Congressional Report cites the 1958 encounter of a USAF C-54D aircraft over the Pacific.

This intelligence report of the C-54 in which the pilot felt he was fired on by a UFO is missing from Project Blue Book files. [Donald] Keyhoe did obtain a copy from an AF intelligence Lt. Col. in HQ USAF Intelligence. Keyhoe during his career had a number of informants within the Air Force. A Republic Aviation Corp. official, James Brewster, III, who attended many internal USAF intelligence briefings slipped Keyhoe UFO information. Major Dewey Fournet Pentagon UFO project monitor, met with Keyhoe on Jan. 5, 1953 after he resigned from the USAF and gave Keyhoe a rundown of the situation inside AF Intelligence. Capt, Robert White, the Pentagon spokesman on UFO from 1953-1957 helped Keyhoe with research, leads, and unclassified documents. He acted well beyond his public relations duties and was a UFO advocate in secret. An intelligence officer within Air Force intelligence slipped Keyhoe a number of unclassified UFO reports including the 1958 C-54 report. I believe, but have not yet verified, that this officer had an interesting UFO sighting in Germany just before his assignment to AF intelligence. This officer is probably the source of the Dec 1956 Japan intelligence report in which an F-86 fighter experience electronic and radar interference while trying to get a radar lock on a UFO. The formal intelligence report does not exist in PBB files, only messages describing the encounter. NICAP did have the report on Air Information Intelligence Report.

Are UFOs a Threat to National Security?

Are UFOs a Threat to National Security?

Chris Mellon believes the government should more aggressively gather intel on military UFO sightings, some of which were captured on video.
By www.history.com
5-29-19

Throughout his distinguished government career, Chris Mellon has been keenly focused on the prospect of unconventional national threats. Now he works with a civilian group called To the Stars Academy of Arts & Science, trying to prod the U.S. defense and intelligence communities to investigate reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs—also known as UFOs) that maneuver in ways that have no known precedent.

He’s inspired, he says, by the growing number of such sightings in sensitive military contexts—reported by highly trained, highly credible witnesses and corroborated by some of the world’s most sophisticated technology, including several infrared videos shot from fighter jets. ...

UFOs, Alien Accounts Manipulated By Intelligence Agencies?

UFOs, Alien Accounts Manipulated By Intelligence Agencies?

Boyd Bushman, the FBI and Counterespionage

"[T]here didn't seem to be an official reason for the CIA to pay any attention to UFO research. Then, in 1990, Ron [Pandolfi] told me the official reason: the possibility of espionage. He said that in the 1970's, the CIA had obtained 'firm evidence' that the KGB had devised a plan to use US citizens, including UFOlogists, to penetrate the US defense program."

Boyd Bushman

The late Boyd Bushman and a photo of suspect origin
In 2014 a video featuring an interview with the now deceased scientist Boyd Bushman made a bit of an internet splash. While the original vid has come and gone for whatever reasons, the gist of it is currently available on YouTube.

Bushman can be seen sharing fantastic stories of alleged extraterrestrials, including photographs. The images were soon shown to be strikingly similar to plastic figurines available at Walmart, as documented at several websites.

The then-elderly Bushman stated that during his career at Lockheed Martin he developed a network of contacts who exchanged stories (and obviously photos) about alleged activities at Area 51. The video contained Bushman's disjointed remarks about Chinese and Russian scientists collaborating with Americans, as well as statements about research conducted into anti-gravity technology.

Bushman also stated, "The intelligent ones... and me believe that a great deal of information should be lifted up from those dark recesses of Area 51 and moved over so people can see it."

National Security Implications

Please understand when people holding security clearances start whispering around water coolers about classified information they think should be published, it tends to attract attention. More on that shortly, but first let's take a look courtesy of The Black Vault at an investigation launched by the FBI into the activities of Boyd Bushman.

A 1999 FBI memo established Bushman was indeed employed at Lockheed Martin (LM). The man's claims of holding Top Secret clearance while working as a Senior Specialist were also verified. Please note, however, LM expressed concerns to the Bureau of what "may be an ongoing attempt to elicit LM proprietary or USG classified information" surrounding Bushman:

De Void

Larry Klayman is still alive. We know this because, last week, he petitioned the Department of Homeland Security to deport President Obama back to Africa. “He has no legitimacy to be president, and he must be tried, convicted, and removed from our shores,” Klayman declared in a press release, “before he destroys everything the Founding Fathers bequeathed to us.”

How could anyone forget Klayman, the prodigiously litigious Gennifer Flowers attorney who lodged more than a dozen lawsuits against the Clinton administration during the 1990s? Since then, he’s sued everybody from Elena Kagan to Dick Cheney to Mark Zuckerberg to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to even his own mother. When he left Judicial Watch in 2003 to seek the Republican nomination for Florida's U.S. Senate post, Judicial Watch wouldn’t take him back, so he sued them, too.

Anyway, the only reason Klayman rates a De Void blurb is because, for a few fleeting moments in 2009, the guy swiveled his omnivorous targeting-acquisition machinery at UFOs. Back then, Klayman promised to get “the government” to concede that UFO data was classified for reasons of national security. Such an admission, of course, would be seismic insofar as the USAF wriggled out of its UFO mission in 1969 by declaring there were no national security angles to the phenomenon. Klayman's new platform, Freedom Watch, hurled FOIA missiles at the CIA, the DIA, the DoD, the NSA and the USAF, knowing before hearing back that his barrage would be futile.

“We’re not waiting for them to go through their administrative aspects,” Klayman vowed of the anticipated military evasiveness. “We’re going straight into a court of law because they’re in violation.” He told De Void he was looking forward to gathering affidavits from government officials who “shouldn’t have a problem with this if it isn’t a national security issue, as they claim.” At the time, he hadn’t decided where to file but he was certain he could have his pick of venues. “The media loves a good story,” he said. “Most (judges) are egocentric, they don’t make a lot of money and they like to get their names in the news.”

De Void kept waiting for the court action. Surely the wires would pick up on the story when it broke. After all. Larry Klayman. The seasons changed. Nothing. The UFO gambit didn't even get him on TV. De Void left unreturned messages with Klayman’s gatekeepers. The clock kept ticking and the seasons changed again. After months of radio silence it became clear that Klayman had given up. No clarion press announcement this time.

Sometimes you wonder which exact species of anger or attention deficit disorder motivates and drives characters like Larry Klayman. Maybe he figured there wasn’t enough divisive partisan red meat in UFOs to sustain his appetite. Maybe he, too, began to realize the MSM doesn't cover UFOs. And maybe it all worked out for the best.

Congressman Ridicules 'UFO Related' National Security Concerns of Six Former Air Force Officers

Congressman Peter King
Congressman Peter King (R) NY

The Face of Ridicule

Bob Salas By Robert Salas
The UFO Chronicles
5-31-13

When I spoke at the Citizen’s Hearing on Disclosure on April 30, 2013, I intentionally revealed the fact that I, and others, had been in contact with the office of Congressman Peter King regarding my UFO incident that occurred while serving in the U.S. Air Force as a nuclear missile launch officer. On May 2, the New York Daily News published an article by Daniel Friedman, quoting King’s response; “I have no idea what the guy is talking about. We are always getting crazy stuff in the mail by people whose brain has been taken over by aliens or something.”

In fact, King should have had ‘an idea’ of what I was talking about because we have been sending him documents and inquiries on this matter for over two years! We have the records to prove these documents were sent, received and seen by King, according to responses we received from his staff.

It appears that Congressman King simply used this opportunity to ridicule the whole idea of UFOs. In those two sentences, King summarized the method by which our government has maintained secrecy on this phenomenon. First, the idea that extraterrestrial craft have been visiting earth is the belief of crazy people and second, that this is a subject worthy only of ridicule. These are the usual ways uncomfortable truths are avoided.

For the record, the documents that were sent to King’s office while he was Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security were the signed and notarized affidavits of six ex-USAF military officers and an ex-Navy non-commissioned officer. The incidents described in the affidavits were directly related to interference with the operational readiness of our nuclear weapons. They were, by any standard, related to our national security interests and they have continued to re-occur. Another important aspect of these incidents is government excess in secrecy that has prolonged hiding the truth of this phenomenon. Obviously, these incidents have enormous implications worldwide and specifically to the government of the U.S. and public access to vital information.

I concede that this subject is phenomenal. The performance characteristics of these objects, as described by many witnesses defies (current) scientific explanation. However, there is a massive amount of evidence, over decades, in the form of documents and testimony from very credible sources that this phenomenon deserves serious recognition.

The evidence provided to King is direct testimony from multiple ex-USAF witnesses who experienced encounters with these unidentified objects, resulting in interference with our nuclear weapons capability. The fact this information was rudely dismissed so glibly by King is symptomatic of the current lack of responsiveness from our elected officials.

Currently, the U.S. Congress has rightly earned a very low public approval rating. We live in a world where there is little confidence that our governmental institutions will protect or respond to the interests of its people. We all need a change in direction. In order to work toward the ideals of government for and by the people, we must continue to press our elected officials to listen and act on this matter of vital importance to us all.

In my letter of July 22, 2012 to Congressman King, I reminded him of his oath to the U.S. Constitution. Our Constitution establishes a republic with representative government. King is one of those representatives responsible for listening to the grievances of the people. By his failure to consider the evidence on a matter of our national security, he is guilty of dereliction of duty and does not deserve to hold office.

Noted Ufologist 'Robert Hastings', Expresses Dismay at the Public Narcosis Regarding UFO Sightings at Military Installations!

UFO Watching Missile Launch
Press Release
7-20-08

Editor's note: Esteemed Ufologist, Robert Hastings appeared on "Larry King Live" Friday night with information and eyewitnesses which revealed evidence of UFOs affecting military bases that housed nuclear missiles; in essence rendering the "launch capability" of the defense system inoperable directly impacting the National Security of the United States.

Robert Hastings     Robert Hastings says he is disappointed that there hasn't been more chatter on the Internet about the important disclosures on the Larry King show Friday night--regarding ongoing UFO activity at U.S. and Russian nuclear weapons sites.

He says, "Maybe everyone in America was at the Batman movie and didn't watch the show. If so, a transcript of it is available here There was a lot that didn't get covered, due to lack of time. For example, I was going to ask all former and retired USAF personnel who were involved in one of the nuclear weapons incidents to contact me at my website, ufohastings.com."

Hastings continues, "I had also intended to say to the viewing audience, 'Just so you know, I am ashamed that President Bush is from planet Earth. Top that, Natalie [of the Dixie Chicks]!"
