UFOs Photographed Over Leicester

UFOs Photographed Over Leicester 12-11-14

Sky watcher Sam Green thought he’d struck gold when he captured this incredible image of what looks like meteors speeding towards Earth.

The 27-year-old builder, from Countesthorpe, was doing a job for his boss in Kibworth when he spotted mysterious goings on high in the clear, blue sky.

He said: “Where we were is on a flight path and you often get planes and helicopters flying over from Leicester Airport, which are interesting to look at and my camera is never far away from me.

“There was this brilliant, clear blue sky on Thursday and it was about 2pm when I happened to look up and noticed these two peculiar objects with vapour trails.

“ They were close together and looked like they were falling straight down.

“When I looked away and looked back they were gone. I thought ‘that’s strange’.

“But about half an hour later, I looked again and saw four of them, so I thought ‘right, I’m going to take a picture’ and grabbed my camera.” . . .

UFO NEWS: Mysterious Bright, Greenish UFO Caught on Police Cam

People across parts of the country turned their gaze skyward Monday, with two objects spotted in the night sky.

The first object was reported after 6 p.m. across 11 states, from Georgia to Pennsylvania. The object appears to have been a meteor, Bill Cooke of the NASA Meteoroid Environment Office said.

Benwood Police Sgt. Luke Thomas in West Virginia captured dash-cam video showing a bright, greenish object coming from the sky.

A second object was spotted about an hour later over Chicago.

“The Chicago event appears to be a slow mover; could be a piece of space junk,” NASA’s Cooke said. “We’re checking into that as well.” . . .

Multiple strange objects were spotted in the sky on Monday, reported by witnesses across the U.S. and even in Asia. On Monday night, more than 200 sightings of a bright greenish object in the sky were reported across 13 U.S. states and a similar object was spotted in Japan. The sightings were likely all different objects that happened to travel across the sky at around the same time. NASA has offered its explanations for each object, but do they explain the countless similar cases in the past? Monday night’s sightings are far from the first time these green lights have been spotted in the sky. . . .

The upshot: Space rocks that explode in the atmosphere are now classified.

"It's baffling to us why this would suddenly change," said one scientist familiar with the work. "It's unfortunate because there was this great synergy…a very good cooperative arrangement. Systems were put into dual-use mode where a lot of science was getting done that couldn't be done any other way. It's a regrettable change in policy."

Scientists say not only will research into the threat from space be hampered, but public understanding of sometimes dramatic sky explosions will be diminished, perhaps leading to hype and fear of the unknown. . . .

A "FIREBALL" in the sky has sparked UFO fever after police were "inundated" by calls about the mystery sighting.

Hundreds of people took to Twitter over the "bright light".

One user, called The Observatory, tweeted: "Best thing I have seen in 30 years observing the sky."

Most sightings were in the North. Durham Police said people reported a "bright light or a fire" at about 9.45pm.

Forces across Scotland had similar calls. . . .
