BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Now we all would like to believe that there is life beyond Earth and that in the truest sense, "we're not alone." But today, a viewer submitted this video of a glowing object in the sky that may secure the belief that we're not alone, well, maybe.

The video was submitted via Facebook by Alex Viveros who was in Central Bakersfield off Union Avenue at about 6 a.m. Tuesday and captured this glowing object.

Viveros said that the object just showed up and then disappeared. . . .

Mysterious UFO Sighting Over Bakersfield 3-14-15

Several neighbors living off Alderpointe Street near Panama and Gosford in southwest Bakersfield say they first witnessed a mysterious blue light in the sky back in February, and again in March. Both times they saw it on the 14th.

"I was taking the recycling out to the trash can, and I saw this blue light in the sky, and I thought, that's kinda bright to be a star, I've never seen a blue star be that bright," said Kelly Castruita.

"Watched it for about 10 minutes, just doing weird stuff, it would turn on and off and it would disappear," added Kelly's husband Jeff.

Neighbors said the blue light was about the size of a dime, and started off just above the skyline, and then migrated northwest.

"It pretty much flew, stopped, then started doing some upward motion and downward motion, so I've never seen anything like it," said neighbor Randy Gabriel. . . .

Mysterious Light in Sky Reported Over Bakersfield | UFO NEWS – VIDEO

BAKERSFIELD, CA—Residents flooded local news stations concerning a mysterious light seen in the southwest skies of the city for two nights in a row.

Amateur astronomer, Daron Nunn said, “When you look at it through the naked eye, you just see a bright light, but when you look at it through the scope, it pulled everything up. We could see everything. It split—it changed shapes. it was . . . I don't know what it was.”

Nunn later stated he was watching the object when it suddenly darted off.

It's anyone's guess, apparently, what lit up the sky over Oildale Tuesday night, but whatever it was caught a lot of people's attention.

Eyewitness News has received numerous inquiries from viewers about the lights. We have a reporter looking into the matter, but it's far from certain she'll dig up an answer. . . .
