UFO in Yorkshire Filmed By Retired Policeman

The man spotted a triangular UFO glowing a startling shade of green in the sky near Holmfirth in Kirklees. The unnamed ex-cop immediately contacted a local UFO enthusiast and investigator Gary Heseltine.

Mr Heseltine, who lives in Scholes, went to a vantage point and began filming the strange sighting.

...He said: “What I saw was a very bright light, which was not a star. The object was not moving and was dim at first but then flared up. In my experience of looking at hundreds of sightings this was very unusual.”

     The 1980 Alan Godfrey case is the main abduction case that Gary has researched in depth. He thinks this case is important because as well as Godfrey’s testimony, there are several independent witnesses that saw something strange in the sky at the same time in the local area.

Timeline of Alan Godfrey’s experience. On November 28th, 1980, Alan was in his patrol car in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. He was sent to check out reports of cattle wandering around a local council estate. He saw a bright light in the road ahead and thought it was a bus. As he got closer, though, it became clear that this was not the case. He found himself looking at a rotating object, hovering over the road. He sketched the craft in his notebook. There was a burst of light and he found himself driving further along the road with no sign of the UFO. He returned to the police station and later found that he was missing about twenty-five minutes of time. The sole of one of his boots was split and he had an itchy, red mark on his foot.

Later, he would undergo hypnotic regression, where it emerged that he was taken from the car and led onto the craft. Here, he saw robot-like creatures and a humanoid wearing a black skull cap. Gary has studied the video tapes of Alan’s hypnosis session and has concluded that they were well conducted. Alan was not lying. He had nothing to gain from making up his story and, indeed, his experience has had a negative effect on his life.

Gary would also point to one pioneer of abduction research, the late Dr John Mack. Mack had concluded that many abductions go back to 'the victims’ childhood. Alan Godfrey had spoken of seeing a blue ‘tennis ball’ in his room as a child. Others have reported these blue orbs both in their bedrooms and other places, such as while driving. . . .

Holmfirth UFO expert Gary Heseltine set to launch magazine

UFO expert Gary Heseltine believes the truth is out there.

      Much like the popular TV series X Files, Gary has been researching unexplained flying objects and extra terrestrial activity for most of his life.

While many people scoff at believers such as him, the former RAF and British Transport Policeman (BTP) believes he has evidence better than most.

While still a serving officer, Gary launched a national police database of UFO sightings and now has hundreds of records of bizarre incidents, including some that were witnessed by dozens of different policemen and women at the same time.

Now retired from the force, Gary, who lives in Holmfirth, has emerged as the UK’s top ‘ufologist’.

His expertise has become internationally renowned to the point where he recently gave evidence to a panel of top politicians in Washington DC.

He is now launching a new online magazine and has written a film script about Britain’s most famous UFO case – the Rendlesham Forest incident. . . .

     Day three of the Citizen Hearing On Disclosure (CHD) begins with testimony of panel members offering accounts of animal mutilations, UFOs in England and the widespread nature of UFO sightings.

The rest of day's discussion will center around the famous 1947 account of a UFO that allegedly crashed near Roswell, N.M.

As seriously as the 40 witnesses and six former members of Congress appear to be treating the subject of UFOs and supposed extraterrestrial visits to Earth, many media outlets have openly criticized and ridiculed the congressional-style five-day event that aims to petition Congress to open a real investigation of UFOs.

Exopolitics is a rapidly expanding global network that seeks to shed light on the activities of extra-terrestrial life on Earth.

The award adds to the World Disclosure prize given to Mr Heseltine by the National Press Club in Washington DC in 2010 and increases his global profile as an expert in his field.

He said:

The Truth is in a TV Appearance for UFO Detective

     FIGHTING crime and watching the sky for extra terrestrial visitors is all in a day's work for one Wakefield detective.

And now Det Con Gary Heseltine has shared his knowledge of all things alien by filming for a major international documentary about UFO sightings for the History Channel and another British programme about police officers and UFOs.

Determined to prove the truth really is out there, Mr Heseltine of Ashdene, Crofton, has been cataloguing UFO sightings for more than 30 years and even set up his own online publication before joining the national UFO Data magazine late last year.

As one of the UK's leading and most respected authorities on the subject, the film crews jumped at the chance to sign him up.

He said: "The first is for a forthcoming series by the USA's History Channel called UFO Hunters, due for airing in May. I've worked on documentaries over the years, but never on an international one and it was quite novel having an 11-person film crew crammed into my house in Crofton.

"The second programme is for the UFO Files, who wanted to get in touch with police officers who have had sightings, which was great too."

Mr Heseltine created the Police Reporting UFO Sightings (PRUFOS) database in 2001, which made him the ideal person to put the film crews in touch with officers who have had close encounters.

And the latest PRUFOS results are set to be published later this month with some interesting sightings set to whet the appetites of sky-watchers everywhere, especially in the Merrie City.

He said: "It needs more confirmation, but I've been made aware of a Crofton sighting. It involves a retired police officer and relates back to the 1970s where three glowing orbs were seen moving towards an area known locally as the Lump.

"He thought it was the front lights of a plane, but quickly realised there was no noise.

"They came within 100 yards of him – then, with a burst of acceleration, they were gone.

"I'd say 95 per cent of sightings turn out to be mundane and not UFOs.
"But it's that other five per cent that I focus on."
