     A LIGHT caught hurtling through the night sky on a dash-camera just south of Darwin has baffled a husband and wife who are quite familiar with the starry skies.

Astro-photographers Paul and Sylvia Mayo were left mystified after they captured the strange phenomenon on the dash camera when they pulled out of a petrol station near Berrimah.

At the time they thought nothing about it but, when Mr Mayo was going back through his computer files, he stumbled across the bizarre light going at an astonishing speed parallel to the horizon through the night sky.

     A VIDEO of a bright ball of light flying through the air has even the experts baffled.

The video, snapped in the northern suburbs, appears to show a bright object drifting through the sunset.

The UFO has a thick and short tail, ruling out the possibility of a meteorite. Others speculated the item could have been space junk making a fiery re-entry. [...]

     An Australian man believes he spotted an extraterrestrial visitor on Saturday, when a UFO emerged in the sky above the Northern Territory.

     It appeared to be a harmless spec on the camera lens as news anchor Jonathan Uptin read the evening bulletin on Thursday.

But to some, it was an indicator of something far more sinister.

As the Channel Nine anchor began to read his regular broadcast, a disk shaped, grey, unidentified object appeared above his left shoulder on the backdrop.

The object instantly sparked rumours that the broadcast had captured footage of a UFO sighting.

Despite the spec disappearing after a few moments, Mr Uptin told NT News he feared for his safety. . . .

Non-believer finds truth is out there

A NON-believer was shocked to see a UFO buzzing over her house as she played with her dog Axel in front of her suburban Darwin home.

The admin worker, who only gave the name Pauline, spotted it over her Karama home about 9pm on Friday, October 5.

"I got out of the car and sat down at the front and started playing with the dog," the 26-year-old said.

"I was sitting outside and I saw white lights flashing above," she said.

"It was lit up for two or three seconds. The whole outline lit up and it was all white. It just turned into a small ball and shot off. It left a thin white line."

The UFO had a "perfect" shape, Pauline said.

"The shape of the thing lit up in the sky," she said. "It was a perfect outline. A perfect design. It was so fast I couldn't see where it went." . . .
