Shot Down By a Flying Saucer

Seconds later, an enormous "Flying Saucer" was suspended

above the runway. Dozens of people at Godman saw it. None of them could believe their eyes. At least, not until the "thing" attacked a U.S. fighter during one of the most incredible and tragic "unidentified flying object" dramas of all time.

  1. Thank you for posting this, Frank. As you know I have been looking at this case again. What I have seen in the files is a mound of conflicting information.
Altitude at "x" time, death at "x" time, etc. Either his time of death was 1518 or it wasnt. If it was, he was still airborne, heading into the sun, with his P51 under complete control.

This is the only place your going to see this "extra" chatter from Cpt. Mantell. Even though it can not be verified, it fits perfectly with the facts.
    Take Care,
    Bob

    1. Bob,

      You're very welcome.

It was Scott's request that evoked the Mantell post.

      Cheers,
      Frank
