Thank you for posting this, Frank. As you know I have been looking at this case again. What I have seen in the files is a mound of conflicting information.
ReplyDeleteAltitude at "x" time, death at "x" time, etc. Either his time of death was 1518 or it wasnt. If it was, he was still airborne, heading into the sun, with his P51 under complete control.
This is the only place your going to see this "extra" chatter from Cpt. Mantell. Even though it can not be verified, it fits perfectly with the facts.
