Romanek, 52, is facing charges alleging distribution and possession of child pornography.
FORT COLLINS — Prosecuting attorneys brought a Homeland Security agent to the stand to testify Wednesday morning in connection with a case against Loveland resident Stanley Romanek.
Eighth Judicial District Judge Daniel Kaup listened as both defense and prosecuting attorneys questioned Special Agent Darrell Franklin, who testified that he identified Romanek's IP address as the source of incriminating files on a peer-to-peer file sharing program in December of 2008.

Then, in 2013, Special Agent Vanessa Hipps alerted Loveland police that she had downloaded incriminating files from that same IP address, located at Romanek's residence in Loveland. [...]
