PORT HOPE -- A bright object flew over Port Hope last Saturday evening.
The object, thought to be something from another world by at least one resident, was reported on the popular UFO tracking website, UFO Stalker. The object spotted on Sept. 28 at approximately 7:40 p.m., was moving very slowly and “there was fire coming out of the bottom,” according to the report.
Several other residents also noticed objects in the sky that night. An air ambulance was seen flying at around that time, said Kevin J. Reed on the Northumberland News Facebook page.
The airspace over Port Hope is a “common flight path” for Ornge, the provincial air ambulance service, said Rachel Scott, a spokeswoman for Ornge. She said on average the ambulance runs 40 to 70 transports a day. Because of the large volume of calls, it would take at least an hour to verify if an ambulance was flying over Port Hope at a specific time, she said. . . .
