If you spotted bright lights streaking across the predawn sky this morning, you weren't alone.2-19-08
And no, it wasn't a UFO. Turns out it was a meteorite blazing across the sky about 5:30 a.m. Calls started pouring into the Federal Aviation Administration immediately, said a representative at the agency's Renton, Wash., operations center. He said air traffic control center operators confirmed it was a meteor.
The FAA representative said the agency got calls from early risers in Oregon, Washington and Idaho who wondered what it was they'd seen.
