UFOs Spotted Over Hythe and Folkestone

The origin of a series of lights spotted glowing eerily through the clouds over Kent remains a mystery. The UFOs were reported hanging in the sky over Hythe and Folkestone by several people, with a series of sets appearing over the course of 30 minutes.

One theory is the lights are flares, used by armed forces to illuminate areas of a battlefield.

And the nearby military ranges at both Hythe and Lydd would seem to make this an obvious explanation.

However, the MoD says no flares were being used at its firing ranges in the area.
A spokesman confirmed there was no activity on Lydd Ranges on Sunday morning when the lights were spotted at about 10.30am.

They added that although there was some activity on Hythe Ranges, it did not involve flares being fired. [...]

     Do you believe in the existence of aliens? Well, a select group of people in Folkestone certainly do, as these videos prove.

A number of clips have been uploaded in the past year, apparently showing UFOs hovering over Shepway’s skies – both in daytime and at night.

Last year, Linda Colville told the Herald that she saw something “unusual” over Hythe following a similar sighting in Folkestone the week before.

She said: “We spotted it as we left my house in Earlsfield Road about 7.30ish and watched it all the way to the Chinese takeaway in Martello Drive and back again, a period of about 30 minutes. . . .

Huge UFO Hovered Over Terrified Motorist

UFO spotted over Folkestone

     A TERRIFIED motorist has spoken of the moment an unidentified object hovered over his car while he drove home at about 35 miles per hour.

The witness, named as Michael D, told a local website he had been riding home from a friend’s house when he spotted a “massive flying thing” in the sky above him. He eventually caught up with the unknown entity which started to hover above his head as he drove from Hawkinge towards Canterbury at about 1.50am on Monday, December 27.

The witness said: “I was riding along home from a mate’s house when I saw this massive thing flying in the sky.

“At first I thought it was a plane but as I rode along at 35mph, the object was going about the same speed as me or maybe a bit slower.

“I caught up with it and saw it had a green light on one side and red on the other, both flashing slowly with a dot of white underneath. It was as if it stopped over me but had no sound. I carried on trying not to look directly at it as I was kind of scared. . . .
