Rescue Flares (or 'Shape-Shifting' UFOs) Light The Sky

     A number of flares dropped by a military aircraft in the Cowichan Valley Saturday evening seems to have coincided with Internet reports that UFOs were hovering over the south Island.

A Buffalo aircraft from CFB Comox was called in to drop the flares so rescuers could get an injured paraglider out of dense bush on Mount Prevost near Duncan. Some of the six flares were visible from the mainland, the Gulf Islands and Victoria.

Fritz Stammberger posted an 18-minute video on his blog, the Island Online News, of a glowing light in the night sky.
