I was recently offered a rare Board Member position
with Dr. J. Allen Hynek's Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS), which I
readily accepted. I was honored and humbled to be afforded this
opportunity. I now sit on the Board with some very august UFO
researchers who are both friends and colleagues. Now I serve as the official CUFOS Archivist charged with the task of managing and making available the CUFOS case file collection that includes the NICAP, CSI-NY, and Project Blue Book files of Dr. Hynek. All of these date back to the late 40s. |
Digitization efforts are underway to preserve and make widely available these files and recordings for the worldwide UFO community. Contributors to this effort along with myself include Jan Aldrich and Barry Greenwood.
Many have asked me how they can help in this effort. Now that I am a Board
Member of CUFOS, this collective work falls under their non-profit status.
Financial contributions can be made via CUFOS and may be tax deductible. More
information on this may be found at their website:
http://www.cufos.org/donations.html
If you wish to make a donation specific to this effort, please be sure to note with any donation “For digitization project”. General donations are welcomed as well by CUFOS.
We hope this will facilitate support towards our exhaustive efforts to catalogue, preserve, and share this important historical UFO material. Negotiations are currently underway to secure one or two additional large UFO collections. The work grows as additional materials are acquired. But I feel the work is vitally important to this field.
My thanks to Dr. Mark Rodeghier and the rest of the Board at CUFOS. Collaboratively, we will work towards preserving UFO history and making it accessible.
