| Pilot, Lieutenant Alex Dietrich who along with Commander David Fravor, of the F/A-18F squadron on the USS Nimitz engaged what has become known as The Tic-Tac UFO, finally went public with her account of the event(s) on CBS’ 60 Minutes, May 16th, 2021. (She did appear anonymously on Tom Delonge’s, Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation). The discussion was centered on what is labeled, CVW-11 EVENT SUMMARY (see below), which is exactly what it sounds like, i.e., a summary of events surrounding the UFO encounter on November 14th, 2004; Dietrich, although acknowledging that she can’t confirm the authenticity of the document (in that moment), intimates that it does appear genuine, incorporating proper nomenclature, etc., and deconstructs it paragraph by paragraph.

These different phenomena did not just pop up on the proverbial radar screen in 2004. Not 2000, not 1990, not 1980...in fact my own files go back to 1945.
ReplyDeleteIts easy to dismiss a case on one aspect of information alone, while ignoring other parts of evidence that are available. Only by including ALL available evidence can we even come close to getting a grasp on what has been going on.
Whether or not this latest Government report will satisfy the "UFO enthusiast" personages that he has grouped into such a convenient category, for easy dismissal, or not, doesn't phase me at all. The truth is, this has been going on for much longer than some have thought.
That said, this was a good interview. It provided good information. You cant' expect much more than that. Please continue in this vein.

Your second paragraph nails it! Ideologues, to promote their dogma–cherry-pick the evidence; this a staple in West's methodology.
Conversely, West has often made plausible arguments in his narrow focus, and attempting to debunk an alleged extraordinary sighting, occurrence or event is (or should be) part and parcel in every good Ufologist's modus operandi. Moreover, I appreciate the fact that he's willing to go to the horse's mouth, and do so with proper decorum.
