The Southeast Missourian revisits an eerie UFO encounter reported by truckdriver, Eddie Webb, then of Greenville, Missouri.
The driver in an interview with the paper was visibly shaken as he described a turnip-shaped UFO that overcame his rig and while he peered out his driver's side window the object flashed a bright white light, akin to a ball of fire which burned his face and melted his glasses.
The glasses were then retained by the police as evidence and Webb's wife who was with him, confirmed the her husband's anecdote, although she didn't see the UFO herself.
