    had the pleasure to meet walter haut years ago in roswell.he gave me writtings on the happening there.i believe his sworn affadaved after his death.

    Thanks for taking the time to make comment.

    Although Walter Haut had previously affected a "sworn affidavit" what you are referring to was not one; it was a "signed statement" written by Don Schmitt.

    Aside from the controversy that Walter didn't not write it himself, two years previously, he couldn't remember major incidents in his life, e.g., where he did his basis training, where he was shortly after the war, people names etc.

    Since the statement written by Schmitt was so concise, with not only exact dates, and times, in addition to contradicting his life-time public stance, this gave many a researcher "pause." (To be polite).
