There is a new leader in command at NORAD's Operation Center at Cheyenne Mountain.
At the change of command, Brigadier General Duane Deal passed command to Air Force Brigadier General Roseanne Bailey at 10:35 Monday morning. She comes from a U.S. Air Force installation in Germany. She now goes from watching over her forces to watching over
our nation. Brigadier General Bailey said, "I still worry about my own people but there are others whose primary responsibility is that kind of support, and this is an operational mission, watching specifically for the protection of the United States. So that's a big change." Brigadier General Deal is retiring after a four-year tenure at NORAD.
Distinguished guests at Monday's ceremony included Brigadier General Johnny Weida of the U.S. Air Force Academy
