James Oberg, who used to work in mission control at NASA, is used to this sort of approach to UFO sightings, and in a fascinating interview with Atlas Obscura, he explains why space phenomena trip people up. 1. I appreciate Oberg doing what he does, he filters out a lot of trash. Yet, I find it funny he relies on his "NASA" name as expertise to explain UFOS, while pilots and military UFO witnesses are not experts, so their opinions are not worthwhile. He sat at mission control, he didn't fly, he isn't part of any black projects...yet we have past black project people reporting UFOs should be taken seriously and aren't all "ours". Good headline, but no one really buys Oberg can explain all UFOs.
