By scifi.comOrganizers are inviting filmmakers to submit entries for the Extraterrestrial Biological Entity Award, which will be presented at the 2008 UFO Conference and Film Festival, Feb. 23-March 1, in Laughlin, Nev. Deadline for entries is Jan. 23.
The award, sponsored by the International UFO Congress, seeks completed or nearly completed films, videos, DVD features or shorts and student or commercially released movies on any of the following themes: UFOs; extraterrestrial life; the cosmos and man's place in it; disinformation and secrecy, especially related to NASA, space exploration and advanced technologies; and UFO-related fields, including new energy, Earth changes, unconventional healing methods and unsolved mysteries of the natural world, science and history.
Winners will get a trophy. Fifteen films will screen at the film festival, which takes place at the Aquarius Resort and Casino.
The UFO Congress was formed for the purpose of bringing UFO researchers and lecturers from around the world together annually to publicize UFO incidents and information.
